Killers aren't viable anymore
As a killer we can't play the game, we can't have fun anymore it's ridiculous 5 minutes in 5 gens pop. Survivors barrel out the exit and some even tebag and message gg ez. It's ridiculous what is the point in playing killer anymore. Apart from getting bullied by survivors and Genrushed. Ever since ruin got destroyed and other killer nerfs came out killer is unplayable. Survivors have all the fun and have no problems in escaping etc. Killers on the other hand get screwed. We have no control and we just keep getting nerfs. Devs what is going on with your game.

"oh no I cant curbstomp survivors effortlessly, I actually have to put more effort than them to win! This is unfair, its outrageous"
Mate, I hate being the one to say this, but git gud. If you are getting 5 minute games all the time its most probably your fault and not a problem with the game.

Mate how long you been playing
1 -
Define your fun, please. :^)

2 years, I got the game when it was free on PSN plus.
3 -
I've been playing for 4 years and watched as the games died
3 -
If you played for 4 years you should know that the game was much harder for Killer back then.
2 -
For you to comment and say that the game is fair and balanced it must mean you play survivor 100% of the time and have no idea what hell killers go through.
0 -
They don't balance around SWF, and SWF is in literally every match be it a 2 man 2 x 2 man, 3 and 1 etc. This is the worst imbalance in the game and has gone unchanged in the entirety of my admittedly short playtime.
3 -
It got better and then it's slowly got worse and now it's pointless. Gens go too fast, hexes get annihilated on 10 seconds. Survivors use broken pallet loops, one of the stronger killer perks (ruin) got destroyed that's when things got absolutely crap because killers cant protect gens anymore. The survivors still manage to ultimately Genrush.
3 -
Being able to actually play the game

YOU as the Killer should force Survivors off Generators, not a Perk. And there are no broken Pallet Loops anymore. There are strong Pallet Loops, but those are gone when the Pallet is broken. But there are no God Loops anymore.
3 -
Yeah that would be fine if killers could be in 3 places at once. You get one of a gen another 2 pop behind you. Ruin prevented the Genrush as it slowed the repair time for gens. If your playing trapper or hag or something how the hell you gonna set your traps and stuff as well as make sure 3 gens don't pop in 2 minutes.
2 -
I never said the game is perfectly balanced, but I don't agree with the notion that "killers always get the bad and is impossible to play and survivors always get the good and is easy to play". But yeah, go ahead and call me a survivor main if you that makes you feel happy.
1 -
You don't you plan around and expect it and instead set up a area to your advantage 3gens near each other start trapping all over them force survivors to play your game your way
1 -
I've had the game since it was free and im on PS4 I play both sides so I know just how hard it can be but if the games changing then you have to adapt your playstyle some will always work if you know what your doing if your struggling with gen rush then make endgame builds use new killers and learn from the survivors and make them pay for being cocky

I am realistic. I think you cannot play Trapper and have the Mindset that you will end the game with 5 Gens still up. I use my Corrupt Intervention to make my Setup, if after 2 minutes 2 or 3 Gens are gone, this is fine for me, I expected that. On the other Hand, if I played Spirit and 2 or 3 Gens popped in 2 minutes without me downing someone, I clearly messed up.
1 -
Do you know what gen rushings is? If so please define it
1 -
Same when playing survivor games are to quick. And SWF teams it must be so boring to play in one.
0 -
If i can play trapper against solid teams and win then i disagree with you completely maybe it's not killers that aren't viable maybe its you no disrespect.

A single person completing a gen take 80 seconds if you cannot get much done in 80 seconds you need to work on optimizing your playstyle.

I've had 2 great killer rounds in a row, playing as Plague, again players not on PS4. They gave me a decent challenge, got 4K the first game and 3K the second, we all got lots of opportunity to earn blood and emblem points - how is this not viable? I've had similar success with other killers too since cross play. Before then there were so few killers on PS4 that I almost always got really high rank players who rang rings around me. I'd all but stopped playing killer side - after reset I was back to 20, I'm up to 17 and thoroughly enjoying myself.
Choose the right perks - ones that suit your playstyle, not necessarily the ones that are most popular and so long as you're matched against players near your skill level, you should have a good match. My killer rounds since cross play have almost all been around my skill level and it's made it so much more fun.

When survivors build specifically towards rushing gens as fast as they can and nothing else. Often matched with 4 toolboxes, but it involves never opening boxes, not doing totems and in a chase dropping every pallet you see.
It is frustrating to play against, nit because "we cant 5 gen curb stomp" but because we have to play as hard as we can to get a tie in many of these matches.
There is minimal interaction, the survivors get furious when they get downed (in come all the NOED complaints) and it is unpleasant to play in. While it is fully possible to win these games, killers have to play a far more difficult game than survivors.
TL;DR Gen rushing is ignoring literally everything to run gens, including totems, unhooks, chests etc... And its a pain to deal with unless you are a real great player, but for average players its frustrating and annoying

you are right but it is very rare you will ever see a marth 88 depip squad
0 -
I've never understood these statements. What the hell are you doing as killer where gens pop that fast? Either you're making this up or you're just not very good at killer and need to put more time in.

Watch youtubers. They'll teach you how to win 3min games.
0 -
Anymore?
This was a thing since launch and has only been getting better slowly but surely ever since.
0 -
Eeeeehh you dont see the depip squads as much but the new strategy "meta" seems to be, ignore everything but gens, during chase dump pallets, leave. Nit that thats all "bad" cause it is a part of the objective. It just doesn't leave a lot of room for survivor killer interaction, at least that isnt pallet stun, pallet stun, pallet stun, smack.

That is the problem if you relay to much on a perk @douggie123 .
You forget how to play the game without it.
It's nothing killer unique. If bhvr ever nerfs sprint burst, ds, bt and so on and make them not as strong anymore as they are today, a lot of survivors will struggle too.
Try to set the survivors in the circle of rescuing their buddys. That is the best way of slowing a game down imo. But don't waste your time and facecamp. The only reason to be near the hook, after you hooked someone up is, if another survivor is already near it.
If that is not the case, go and hunt the guys that are still working on the gens, while one survivor hangs already on the hook. If you find no one by a gen, kick him and move on to the next until you have finally found another survivor or you think it is time to go back to the hook, because he will be rescued in the next secs.
Works most of the time. Sweaty swfs not included since they talk over every fart of the killer in their mics. But that is the way a multiplayer game is.

some killers just aren't viable anymore with game speeds which sucks but just play op things like nurse and dominate until things get better
0 -
i play killer in a wired way where i dont chase as much but can keep pressure and get free hits and downs so i dont notice this much

You seem really upset, but please also acknowledge that there have been several significant Survivor nerfs and general balance chances over the course of the last months/year.
People are right when they say Killer is easier than ever. Given the asymetrical nature of DBD I think we´re getting ever closer to a sweetspot in terms of balance. Doesn´t mean we´re quite there yet.

Can you tell me what update made the game easier for survivors? Out of curiosity and reading the patch notes I can't see anything that's been added in 2 - 3 years that's suddenly made survivors easier, the only major change that would have affected gen speed was Ruin and that's a perk that's never ever been mandatory.

Bruh just stfu and quit the game then.

destroying Ruin killed it. the game is just far too easy for survivors once they learn to actually do the gens. especially since the current survivor meta is really just infinite lives with a coat of paint.
I mean, I'm a red rank killer, and I 3-4K most of the time. but the games are so fast and frustrating that I simply do not enjoy the game as much as I used to, even when I win. so I havent played even half as often as I used to, just before the Ruin nerf. thus the awful lobby times for survivors.
I was really looking forward to that MMR feature that gave you a different skill rating for different killers. That way, I wouldn't have been punished for playing well as my mains for 2 hours by being banned from enjoying the game as the other 80% of killers for the rest of the month. But BHVR ######### it up, so back to no more fun again.
