The Blight

After watching mr.grimms stream for a bit I get the overall impression that the new killer is kind of bad. The hitboxes on the environment absolutely screw him over. on top of the fact he can't even hit you when rushing unless he hits an object to bounce off of.

Mr.grimms calling him a pinball machine is also a pretty apt description.

    It's worse than legion, at least legion don't get screwed by environment hitboxes, I was watching Otz play him and it's really bad. Tight corners will be a pain to navigate.

    It's a killer with a double cooldown (the swing animation and then the syringe) for no reason, especially because his power really isn't all that good. He's extremely clunky to use because you literally have to run into walls and can't see where the survivors are going. Steering him is clunky too because he's basically like Billy, only Billy has the time to react because he DOES see where the survivors are and when you get hit you get insta downed. He doesn't have any form of anti loop so I can imagine he's going to be an m1 killer with some mobility.

    This new killer is a joke, his power is too useless. I think he needs a buff.

    IDK just played him one time and I find him not really fun to play. This is because he just bonks on every object or wall even when on your POV you didnt touched it. Also his steering is just awful for how fast he rush.

    But that was in a match with a high ping but still. I also wonder if the devs do playtesting because when I played this killer he did not have any sound when he attacks. I understand ptb is for bugs but how can anyone not notice this?

    So in short this killer has a cooldown, a restriction in his power, and he has recourses to manage (the stacks). For what? To run faster and control his rush really hard?

    I feel like they really didnt hit the nail on this balance, so many restrictions in his power for just a fast speed boost not even a one shot.

    Note: This was my first match so not everything may be true because i am still a noob with this killer.

    Also forgot to mention, if you rush on the basement stairs you keep bumping into them, you can't leave the basement while rushing.

    I don't think he should bump, but do like a wall jump or something. Also the injection should be a manual reload like Clown and Deathslinger. The cooldown is far too long.

    Yeah thats what i thought he'd do is like jump off walls and lunge smack you and then jump off another wall and smack you again. Which sounds amazing and he can kinda do that now but not really.

    I think the concept is pretty fun. Not even close to Legion (that btw I hate almost as much as Freddy). It just needs some refining with the hitboxes. Also did you see how fast he can move from one side of the map to the other? Map control is insane

    • Billy runs, instant down survivor on contact.
    • Blight runs, bump to things on purpose to able to hit.

    I mean, I know the purpose is to make the killer seems out of mind, keep run/bumping..but it seems not fun to have ur camera bump into wall all the time.

    My idea is if he bump into Survivor, they will lose their speed (or even better, make them stripped), at the moment he can Lethal rush. Decrease his token to 3.

    I feel like people are only looking at chase and not the 1v4.

    He has just as much mobility as billy if not more at a shorter height with an extremely weak directional audio cue and no map wide audio cue.

    His ability kinda needs to be a bit weak in the chase and from the looks of things it isn't even that weak. He forces people to loop in a confined area as going in a deadzone is a deathsentence. This makes more deadzones due to more pallet usage and the cycle continues.

    He also counters W gamers, and we all love that.

    If I had to describe him, take Oni's and Billy's ability, make them permanent and remove the insta down. Id say from pure first impressions he's actually alright and usable.

    Id have to see more testing done on him before I draw final conclusions though.

    He needs a lot of improvements from my first impression. Looks like a lot of restrictions and limitations for a mediocre pay off.
