STOP RELEASING NEW KILLERS (It takes attention away from the existing ones)

It seems as though we've been getting new killers back to back and as a killer main I normally welcome this sort of thing but it seems as though the amount of developmental effort that it takes to release all of these new killers is taking away from effort that could be put toward rebalancing existing killers. It takes about the same amount of time for Behavior to release a new killer as it does for a killer rebalance to come out (not even getting into how some of these rebalances are questionable based on input from the community, like Billy.) Most of the community has been expecting rebalances to make killers like Clown, Pig, and Legion better and to nerf Spirit a little bit but with constant new killer releases it's questionable that some killers will ever be viable.

  • This content has been removed.
  • You'd think most of their money comes from cosmetics and rift stuff considering that the non-licensed killers can be bought with iridescent shards for free but I guess you're right. There's no money in rebalances and reworks.

I would like them to take a break from new content and focus on balancing whats already here. However from a business perspective, they make more money selling us a new killer. They don't make money for patches because we don't have to pay for those.

Chapters tend to bring back old players, thus increasing the sales of cosmetics. Also licensed killers attract newer players. Fresh meat for the grinder.

I never thought devs would be create a killer worse than Legion, if play Oni or Billy is difficult for console players, just imagine playing this killer with a gamepad....a killer whose power is walk straight line because 0 mobility.

    congrats devs.

ah of course I'm going to buy this dlc because the new perks are quite useful.

Personally, I think everyone in the community would be happy to see a good 6-month period that was focused entirely on improving the game. I'd be happy seeing an entire chapter patch that was entirely bug fixes/quality of life changes. I don't disagree with rebalancing certain aspects of the game, but a big complaint since launch is the amount of bugs in the game. This isn't to say Behavior does a bad job patching bugs, I just think more time should be spent on improving the game (such as the current graphics overhaul) instead of adding new content.

Yeah, it seems like the new wave of like 5 new killers that have come out have had pretty underwhelming perks so far, but an exposed status effect for working on a gen? Now you've got my attention. Not that I'll buy it, I'll just save up shards because I don't want to encourage Behavior to keep pumping out new killers instead of fixing the game.

There's a new killer every 3 months, and a mid-chapter patch in-between each of them, which often includes changes for older killers. Essentially there's major content changes every 6 weeks. That's the same release schedule they've had since clown, and it's been working fairly well so far. In that schedule these killers have received significant changes:

    • Trapper
    • Hag
    • Wraith
    • Freddy
    • Legion
    • Nurse
    • Doctor
    • Billy
    • Cannibal

Admittedly I think Trapper, Wraith, Freddy, and Legion could do with a second round of changes but they are all in better places than they were. Bhvr is clearly not having trouble giving changes to older characters. Bear in mind as well that they have different teams working on the new content vs the old content.

Some killers need urgent changes and I think they are the following.

    Trapper

    Wraith

    Pig

    Clown

    Legion

    Demogorgon

and this is the situation of the current game:

Um...no thanks. I want new stuff, It makes the game more exciting.

  • Looks a little dated, most people think Billy got knocked down now that his addons suck, also not so sure that wraith and trapper are that low. Also Plague is a hidden diamond in the rough that nobody uses because she doesn't have much of a "cool" factor, but she's actually very strong, not much worse than Huntress. The rest of the list I agree with, there are a lot of killers that aren't very viable.
