I CANT SEE CAGES!!!
I probably play pyramid head more often but I don't know if it was an update or somethin but, whenever I send a player to the cage (As the killer) I can't see where they are placed on the map and I have to rely on the loud noise notification on where the survivor was but by the time I walk my ass over there, they have already be rescued...

Yea, they nerfed him like 2 weeks into release.

Cage auras got removed for the killer to decrease Pyramid Head's tunnel potential.

So you can't see cages?

Lol. Bummer.
But for real they changed it so you just can't tunnel the caged survivor. Which is an excellent change.

K den :(

You can't see their auras, you can see the cages if you manage to find one before they escape but there is no point. It usually puts them as far from you as possible.

Thank you, I'll keep that in mind "Next time"

yeah, you're now just meant to hook them all and use the tormented to tunnel off the last hook and insta-mori.

Correct, the ability to see cages was removed due to an (apparent) overabundance of Pyramid Heads caging someone, rushing to the cage, and camping them.
A-hole gamers, it's why we can never have nice things.

Understood, Kinda ######### for players who don't camp the cage tho.

A lil late duh.

I just don't keep up with all the updates and patches and reworks.

I... don't understand. Why would you do this instead of just hooking them and camping them right there? Sounds like a lot of extra steps to do the same thing you can already do.
1 -
Don't forget, if you find the cage and hang around too long, it will move again. Yep, can you say there was a bit too much tunneling going on? So many of us tried to say that would be the case when they announced it...but what do we know? We only play the game....

imagine not reading the patchnotes

Imagine playing with your favorite killer again after a long time and not realizing that he has been nerfed..

Pyramid Head's Cages of Atonement don't trigger hook-based perks, such as Borrowed Time and Decisive Strike, meaning someone freed from a cage has no defense against the Killer tunneling them immediately after being freed. That's what prompted PH players to run for the cage immediately to either camp it and/or tunnel whoever got saved/ came to save. Blinding PH to the cage's location helps mitigate that.
A change not mentioned, but done for similar reasons, is if Pyramid Head lingers too close to a caged Survivor, the cage vanishes and respawns elsewhere.

Ah, I didn't know that. The anti-BT/DS tech. I can see why it would instantly get nerfed into the ground. Can't have anyone beating the meta!
0 -
Yeah, because getting tunneled deliberately after being caged knowing damn well the survivor doesn't have BT or DS was fun and fair.

This game is absolutely loaded with BS that's not fun or fair. Uncounterable DS at the end of a game near the exit gates, healing to block you from picking someone up near the exit gates, BT/soul guard nonsense also near the end of the game. 4-man SWF with OoO is a lotta fun to go against. I don't camp or tunnel because I think those things are ######### and make the game worse for everyone. I also think that applies to many meta perks and add-ons on both sides. The fact that we all have this common rulebook of what's "fine" and what's not is absurd when the developers have the capability to fix things properly. Of course, as is often the case, we see where the very quick "fixes" end up.

Well, you can argue against it but the devs have made it abundantly clear what is acceptable and what isn't.

They certainly have!

Honestly it's still possible to tunnel out of a cage (just not as reliable since you can't see the aura.) All you really have to do is just cage somebody and walk to wherever you think the furthest corner from where you are is. They'll usually be there.
Can't tell you how many Pyramid Heads just play like that. Literally just played against one a couple games ago where one of my team mates got hooked in a corner near shack (not basement) and the Pyramid Head just patrolled around that corner. Then I guess he saw Yui around there and for some reason she decided to go from full HP to being downed right next to Dwight by looping around the shack (I think?) and so PH has even less reason to leave. Then once Dwight hits 2nd life and the 3rd survivor unhooks him, the PH just tunnels Dwight and finishes him off. Then cages the Yui, and tunnels her the same way.
So yea, the aura change really doesn't hurt his tunnel capability that badly. Just makes it a little less consistent.

No bt and no d's.

That's my understanding. The change didn't affect anyone who played the Executioner as intended.
