When I die, I want my spirit to haunt all survivors who exploited the "Safety Bubble" in the PTB
I just had a lovely game where I ran into a swf who knowingly sent me to a certain map so they could exploit a game breaking bug in which the survivors couldn't be hurt by the killer in any way.
Amazingly, they still lost. Because of course the people who are sadistic enough to abuse an invincibility bug are also too dumb to win the game despite using it.
Why people would want to use a bug like that in the Public Test Build is honestly beyond me.
If you know what I'm talking about, do not use it or my ghost make your house lights flicker and drive up your electricity bill.

What is it spill

I wonder if Deathslinger can pull them out of the bubble.

It's simply an exploit that makes survivors unable to be hurt by the killer.
Survivors who know about it can take steps to trigger it and I will haunt these people from beyond the grave until they lay in theirs.

How about you use your Pyramid Head to haunt them so you can hit them through the bubble.
7 -
It might be possible to injure them in the bubble with ranged killers. But they still can't be picked up unless you're playing Deathslinger.

Pick up? Who said anything about that?

I saw a stream earlier where killer got stuck in bubble with the survivors because he climbed through the window. Was able to down and mori all the survivors while stuck in there. Granted it was KYF but still that's one way to end it.

How does one win a game where you must harm people if said people cannot be harmed in any way? 🤔

I was against a squad of 3 people, and they left the bubble to save the 4th when I downed them.
I then downed 1 of them, slugged the other, and hooked them both next to each other so they couldn't be safely rescued.
The remaining survivor stayed within the bubble and died to the endgame when I closed the hatch.

If anything I'd say it's better they do it on the PTB. No rank or points people will actually keep their investments of they can screw people out of, and the devs are probably paying extra attention to all bug reports and such.
So I'd report the bug in as much detail as you can if I were you.

If you're talking about sanctum of wrath, that "safety bubble" isn't safe at all, and if the killer vaults they get stuck too and no one can leave. The only solution is to DC. It's a bug similar to the hill bug.

from what ive seen survs could run through the sides fine and itd block the killer but only if the window was vaulted would they be stuck there so as long as they dont vault in they can leave whenever they like

If the window doesn't spawn then it's completely safe. And even if it does, the killer can only trap themselves by vaulting the window.

I hope the devs push the patch back until this is fixed, even if it messes with the chapter schedule. I don’t know what map this happens on or how to do it, but the fact that a safety bubble exists is too much.

Yay, I did nothing wrong!

It is the PTB... "abusing" stuff like that is fixing it.
2 -
Nope. The programmers at Behaviour are fixing it. (Hopefully)
The people using the bug to get an advantage in games are abusing it.
You can report a bugs existence without using it yourself.

Please try to keep this thread on topic and leave the insults out of it - thnx!

Yes but people first have to find those bugs and show how terrible they can be. Stuff like that is very useful information for BHVR. Its the main reason we have the PTB.
1 -
True. But these bugs wouldn't nearly be such a problem if people weren't deliberately going out of their way to exploit them.
It's an admittedly impossible thought, but if no one exploited bugs then some wouldn't even have to be fixed.
0 -
What? That's silly.
Survivors are fine for making sure that attention is drawn to the issue, that gives the team more info for how to fix it and make sure it isn't accidentally replicated in the future or left in on other maps/the non PTB. There can be variations on single bugs that are survivor/killer specific or situational. Just because they found a glitch once doesn't mean exploiting it once finds out all the relevant information.
Survivors AND killers should absolutely be looking for exploits in the PTB, there will always be people who consider bugs fair game so your last paragraph is a dream. Bugs need to be found and fixed, and "abusing" them in a PTB isn't a bad thing.
It's a PTB, don't take it that seriously if a glitch happens or the game doesn't go your way because you're playing a new killer or something. I mean that nicely- a lot of PTB players seem to be getting upset over things that are out of their control when this is literally for testing a new patch.

True. The PTB is absolutely there to try and catch bugs before the patch hits the main game. That doesn't make people abusing the same bug multiple times any less of an ass.
The first couple of times they use the bug? Sure. They're just spreading awareness I guess. But if they use it almost every game they're doing it just because they can use an unfair advantage and get away with it. I'd estimate that at least 40% of all my games on the PTB had at least one person trying to use the safety bubble. And its at that point that I stopped seeing using the bug as anything more than a deliberate attempt to piss people off.
