just out of curiosity
so for you killers out there that do this, why do u run 5 million slowdown perks on a killer that doesn't need it primarily. i see this quite often in pubs which isnt needed.
a killer i see with this often is pig

"I can't apply pressure" build

Which killers are you referring too?
Additionally, the player may just not be that experienced. The same could be said as to why SWF use five million second chance perks when they, due to comms, don't need it. Comes down to experience.

I mean I use pop and Surge on Freddy because you'd have to be stupid not to run pop on him and I get most of my information from surge/surveillance. It's just how I play freddy, I focus on gen defence instead of hyper offence.
If, say, I were to use thana, dying light, sloppy butcher, and PGTW on freddy with swing chains and a rope or PainBrush™ that'd be a different story.
If you gotta run ForeverFreddy™ you're somehow bad as him.

Nah, you gotta be a good killer to not run pop. That's all :)

Pig is an m1 killer with an RNG-based slowdown. And, like it or not, gen speeds are absolutely stupid, especially against m1 killers that can be "looped" by dropping pallets early and generally playing safe while your team smashes the gens in under 4 minutes.
Which isn't to say that 4 slowdown perks would help in that all-too-common situation, but you get the general point. Not everyone likes that the average match time has more than halved since this time last year.

Ah don't run a perk that rewards you for doing well to be a good killer okay gotchu
Guess to be a good survivor you gotta run without ds, dh, unbreakable, etc?

Aaaand you took the bait, hook, line and sinker.
I think at some point we should just stop to answer such comments.

Why do red rank survivor stack second chance perks on top of eachother even though survivors can hold m1 whole game to win?
Fundementally broken game.

Hey taking bait is what I do best

spoken like a true killer main nublet, let me guess "KiLlEr SuPpOsEd ToBe StRoNg" well yeah sure, but the game has to be fair and fun for the surv too, this isn't your weird power fantasy, we aren't playing a personal cutscene for your amusement, it's a game

True, but at least using 4 second chances is at least powerful and logical to run. 4 pressure perks on pig is just confusing and not even that good, it just stretches the game out without enhancing her ability to down with her stealth or ambush. I'd take enduring and monitor over corrupt and run any day on pig.

If the are to you liking, go for it XD
I am full for today.

the game is already fair for the survivors even without these perks
fyi i only play survivor because playing killer is actually not fair and fun to play as

Forever Freddy and Hostage Doc are my two least favorites. I actually played against a forever freddy yesterday running Thana, Sloppy, Ruin, and Pop. The game took a solid 20 minutes and still 2 of us escaped. I don't mind somewhat longer games for balance but 10-15 minutes should be the norm for most games. I don't want to be stuck in the same trial for 20-30 minutes, a lot of times even if I was never hooked yet I'll let the killer hook me and I'll just kill myself on hook. No fun being held in the same game forever, it would be different if you could get more points in a trial.

Well, I don't really run them all together, usually only Ruin or Pop. But for Ruin on Pig, it's a case of I need SOME stall until I can get my RBT's going.

i see it on a bit of killers but most of all, i can name freddy but what can u expect, pig, myers and other basic killers like that. you see i dont get why the people only use gen regression when you could use the best of both world. take pig for example why run corrupt, ruin, pop and another regression perk when you could run, corrupt, pop, enduring and bbq. then you get tracking, more chase and gen regressions without going to overboard.

Why wouldn't you run builds that take advantage of a killer's primary attributes? When you play an RPG as a wizard, for example, do you put points into STR to "balance it out"?
2 -
We run them because we never know when we are pulling SWF. As soon as the 5th Perk (Comms) is addressed, we will probably relax the choke points. We do what we have to do.

thing is experienced survivor still do that he wonder why killers use what they use most killers can't apply pressure to gens and 4 survivor on discord.

I personally do not usually use slowdown perks but the only one that is worth it is Sloppy Butcher
0 -
Why not? Its not like theres a finite limit to how much slowdown you can have.
0 -
well take pig. why would you only use gen regression when thats here main attribute when u could get tracking and chase which shes lacking in more
0 -
i mean u dont need all slowdown, you need a balance of different types of perks to be more successful like usually a tracking, a chase perk and 2 gen regression or 1 gen regression and a healing
0 -
If your confident enough in your ability to end chases fast and to track I could see bringing a full slowdown build, while I think other builds are better I can see why people go full slowdown.
0 -
Because, as you said, it's her main attribute.
You basically have two types of builds: those that bolster main attributes and those that cover for weaknesses. Both are acceptable.
0 -
But what if that player just wants to use all slowdown perks?
0 -
Imagine complaining about slowdown builds because ,,they cant apply pressure" but then also call others trash who tunnel to apply pressure
1 -
Because there isn't really a downside to running slowdown perks.

The set-up is called a ‘Forever’ build and works to ensure max slowdown. You mention that if lacks Tracking, Utility, etc, which could help in other areas, but the Forever build is normally accompanied with forced genning.
By combining slowdown/regression with a 3-gen situation, the Survivors heavily struggle to maintain any gen progress without a sacrifice or 2 that may distract them (PGTW can quickly remove any of this progress though).

even then against a team that is half decent 3 gens arent a problem as all you do is keep getting a surv on each gen then constantly running away to a strong area when the killer comes over. literally doing this makes the slowdown useless in this situation as the gen will just take longer and will still be completled. also chase perks are much nicer in the 2 extra slots that dont need to be slowdown as most killers can only down at a cap so lowering this is beneficial.

Against 4 High Rank Survivors, the 3-gen situation should be fairly easy to overcome. However, an equally ranked Killer should have sacrificed at least 1 Survivor by then (regardless of the play-style).
Against Low-Mid Rank Survivors, the 3-gen situation is difficult and, as stated before, normally requires a sacrifice or 2 before the final gen is finished.
I recommend trying it out on Killer to get a feel of how it works and why people do it.

Since best way to kill survivors is to prevent gens from getting done ? Slowdown perks are meta so any killer who wants to win will use them paired with good combo perks on their killer. The slower the gens, the better changes to kill survivors. You can never have too many good gen control perks.

Bc I wanted and nobody has the right to say what I have to and don't to have.
I don't care about what Survivor's mean.
