so apparently the ptb is out of date
Mclean said on his dev stream that the ptb version we got is a week out of date and that there are already changes for the blights power.
so my question is are you going to give us the updated ptb soon or are we going to have to wait till the full release because first impressions are hard to get over the only saving grace of this chapter is the chad looking survivor, perks and the gen/chest animations.
the reworked maps are meh, too much grass everywhere that covers scratch marks and the constant fps drops on low graphics.

Sounds interesting if true.

Yeah I saw the clip of the stream too. I’ve restrained myself from going to every topic and being like “Shut up—None of this is even real, we’re living in a fantasy man, it’s all fake.”

I 100% agree with you but I strongly believe that they already plan on updating the PTB with the real version. It just doesn't make sense to me to take feedback that's not relevant. Hope the devs will announce something soon.

So does that mean the killer won't be released until 3 weeks later.

Yes, he did say that on stream.

Really begs the question: why would you put an old iteration of the killer to PTB? You're receiving feedback that isn't even valid and we're wasting time testing a version of a killer that doesn't exist anymore. Pushing stuff that isn't ready is a huge problem in the tech industry and it almost always leads to negative outcomes, yet managers keep doing it despite pushback from the engineers.

Probably because the newer version of Blight has some further bugs or testing they needed to resolve before it could go to the public server. Also don't forget there are things like the graphics update and a new survivor that they're testing as well, it's not just Blight.

Maybe because the newer version wasn‘t quite ready. Or they wanted to see how the killer performs before the changes. It‘s certainly not a big deal.

Probably because of the bureaucracy of maintaining a code base. The version of the code on McLean's computer has more changes yes, but it likely hadn't been pushed to the PTB build yet either because it's unstable or just because the changes haven't been approved/merged yet.

Wonder if this is why so many bugs are missed during the PTB. 😬

almost certainly for a lot of them

Sounds like my next video just wrote itself.
