Springtrap should be put in!
Springtrap should really come to the game. I love the franchise and I believe it deserves representation here. We don't have a robotic killer yet, so Springtrap could bring some unique ideas to the game.
I've been a fan of fnaf more years with me being in Middle School now. So let's show the dev's we want Springtrap!

This is getting more and more embarrassing...

Why is wanting Springtrap embarrassing?
1 -
no
never
10 -
Only if we get Mr X
1 -
Who are they?

I'm guessing you're new. Springtrap has been talked about so much that it's annoying. I'm the only one who's gonna tell you nicely, but we don't talk about springtrap here.
11 -
I honestly really wouldn't mind because dbd gets iconic killers not classics which i believe fnaf would be a great boost, because there was no other horror game like fnaf during the early 2010s. It was talked about almost everywhere on social media.
1 -
I don’t believe your sincerity, I think your mocking FNAF. May your Freddy Fazbear pizza go cold...
1 -
Springtrap! Springtrap! Springtrap! Springtrap! 🎉🎇🎆🎂🎉🎇🎆🎂
3 -
Well then bhvr should put Speingtrap in the game! I'm not gonna stop letting them know the community wants him because of a few haters
1 -
It's not wanting the character that's embarrassing, it's how people are presenting the idea that's embarrassing.
Lately people have been making 'Springtrap in dbd' a trend, with people making fan-made chase music and even petitions being sent around. People seem to forget that a simple petition can't conjure it up overnight, it all comes down to licensing. Licensing is complicated enough when it comes to copyrighted projects that a petition won't magically make the license holder say 'let's give BHVR the rights to Springtrap', I'm sure loads of contracts are involved.
6 -
I like the idea... but for the love of GOD
please stop these threads.
2 -
I mean, Fnaf is solely owned by Scott Cawthon and he's been shown to be a chill guy that cares for his fans. It can't be that hard to get licensing for Fnaf specifically
1 -
I honestly can't thank you enough for actually being nice here. Unfortunately, many people here aren't.
1 -
From Resident Evil.
Trust me, he is scary as hell. He just follow you around with ultra loud and scary steps.
If he get close enough he gonna give it to you.
5 -
He looks boring. Just a guy in a suit.
0 -
Said the one who wants a Boring Robot who lives from his jumpscares. :(
10 -
No fnaf please, no.
3 -
I could apply the same logic for Springtrap :)
9 -
Its not that everyone here is necessarily a "hater" of the idea. I actually think it'd be pretty cool, but I'd be absolutely flabbergasted if the devs haven't gotten the message yet.
I always appreciate constructive threads about the idea (whether that be something that can drastically change people's perspective on the idea, or perhaps a fleshed out concept, etc), but there's already been a ton of "Put Springtrap in DbD" threads around here, so I suggest letting other potential characters share the spotlight for a bit.
Let's talk about Resident Evil, Amnesia, maybe Slender? I heard that Clementine is a pretty popular candidate on Twitter. There's a ton of other great characters other than the traditional Springtrap, Candyman, Pinhead, etc. Why not show them some love?
2 -
I don't really think either are "boring guys in suits". They're both (imo) great choices for licensed characters.
1 -
I wasn't calling him boring or insinuating so, my point was, they can't complain about Mr X being just a killer in a suit when Springtrap is exactly the same.
1 -
I will restrain from saying rude stuff but like you gotta understand fnaf itself is a good game its just the community (kinda like you) is just idk cringe maybe? its just something weird cuz i mean first off springtrap every fnaf fan boy wants him and secondly springrap wouldn't necessarily be "scary" in the game he just well jumpscares and dbd doesnt have jumpscares. so yea your not gonna be getting springrap most likely.
1 -
At least he's still scary.
"Oh look here comes a businessman, I hope he doesn't scare me with financial advice"
0 -
You really couldn't
0 -
I wouldn't want him in DBD. I don't like FNAF, I don't like the idea of him being in DBD. Please just let this idea die.
6 -
I get that you think this a cool idea, I myself wouldn't mind. But this topic has been done to death. Can we please just stop talking about FNAF?
2 -
How is he scary?
Also if you never played Resident Evil, how can you tell if he is scary or not? From the first looks, both dont seem scary in in the things are do, they are.
Well ok Springtrap isnt scary. He just slaps his face against my screen with the hope of a succesfull jumpscare. Thats all what he does.
3 -
Mind explaining why?
0 -
You acting worse than us lol
What do i have to whine about?Looks like you the one whos gonna keep on crying until they add him.
But im chill about it because i know they ain't gonna add him lol
1 -
I always think it's funny how people want Springtrap instead of like, any of the other options.
The series is named after Freddy, Bonnie was the first animatronic Scott designed, and Foxy is generally the most popular and prolific (well, tied with Freddy anyway). Oh, and the Puppet. Can't forget the Puppet.
And honestly, the Chicken from the first game was always the one that disturbed me the most.
3 -
Spring Trap is technically a bonnie. Hes also the main antagonist so he would probably fit the best.
0 -
I mean I can, because they're both killers in suits, but okay :)
3 -
People want Springtrap because he's the only genuine "killer" within the series. William Afton (Springtrap) killed innocent children and stuffed their corpses inside the animatronics. The children's souls possessed the animatronics, which is why they roamed around at night.
Once the children's souls were freed from the suits, they wanted revenge on William. The spirits ended up cornering him in a back room, and he used an animatronic suit to protect himself. The robotic parts in the suit snapped, and ended up killing him within the suit, allowing his soul to possess it. After thirty years of rotting in that backroom later, and you have yourself Springtrap:
4 -
I suggest fleshing out your idea. Giving a single reason like “deserves representation” is one of the weaker reasons I have seen to add this character to the game.
3 -
Yessssssss clementine. Alright back on topic. I agree with this let others share the spotlight because springtraps moment in the light didnt end well. I had seen people threating streamers and devs for disagreeing with adding spring trap or even saying that another one would be better. Jts not that we hate it its because of the people and what they did has just made everyone so over the idea of even having a thread about it.
0 -
Yeah but one is a scary and detailed animatronic suit while the other is just a plain business suit.
It's like saying a tree branch and a lightsaber are the same thing because they're long objects you can swing around.
0 -
Okay man go watch some clips of mr.x from resident evil and just get some knowledge. Mr.x is scary af and wooooow his game actually has gameplay other than siting at a desk and occasinoly closing doors.
3 -
I mean for both its a matter of perspectve, I wouldnt particularly say either Springtrap or Mr X look particularly scary at all but you could argue for either of them that they are.
and with your lightsaber vs tree branch thing, would you be more worried if you seen someone with a light up stick or a dense piece of wood?
again its all perspective.
2 -
Saw some clips, so all he does is walk around looking for you and you occassionally have to hide.
Sorry but I don't see how that's scary. It doesn't help that he just looks like a big business man. You can replace him with some random normal looking guy and it would have the same effect.
0 -
Springtrape deservese some representastion? Sorry but the only thing springtrape deserves is a hook through the back and candyman pushing him out of the way and candyman saying "be my victim". Candyman is by far a way better choice then springtrap
2 -
Lol just put in FnaF characters like the Legion. On second thought, that would suck. Never mind.
1 -
Its scary in the same way FNAF is, atmosphere. The build up to Sprintrap and Mr X attacking you is what makes them scary.
1 -
Okay I understand that you want Springtrap in DBD, I do too. however that doesn't mean you should act like how you are acting, you know for once I wish i met someone who wasn't toxic about the whole situation, and showed maturity for once, just once Please, if they don't like the idea of him in dbd, jsut take the hits, take the bullets. Don't go acting on the defense about it cause someone said ######### about the idea
2 -
Thank you! OMG Thank You!

It's a new account trolling for a rise about fnaf. Probably best to just close/delete the thread.
2 -
I wouldn't mind if FNaF was brought up again sometime down the line, but for now, me, along with many others who love/hate/are in different to the idea just want to move on.
Don't get me wrong, I love the idea, and I hope that he comes in the game sometime in the future, but I won't go out of my way to try and force that belief onto others. I've given up on trying to convince people here regarding just about anything. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and that's perfectly fine.
A lot of people that want FNaF are generally nice people, but of course, there is the vocal minority that could potentially ruin any chance of FNaF coming into DbD, and FNaF isn't the only one that suffers from this issue.
Actually, Clementine shares this as well. Many people on Twitter create gimmick accounts dedicated to getting certain characters into the game. Unfortunately, the Clementine gimmick accounts are awfully persistent, commenting on almost every post that BHVR makes, petitioning that Clementine should be in the game.
I love when people speculate on what characters should/could be in the game. I would main Clem until the day I die if she got into the game (Heck, Bill is what first got me into DbD, since I was a huge L4D fan). I would probably main Springtrap too, assuming his power was good and/or fun. However, there's a fine line on how far these ideas should go, and it can get out of hand quickly.
Overall, I'm glad that people are starting to want Springtrap in the game, since I've always been a fan of the idea, even before it blew up, but with that being said, lets let the idea rest for a bit.
I wouldn't mind reviving the topic once the new AAA FNaF game comes out, or maybe when the movie releases, or maybe when another videogame character is introduced into DbD. My point is, the idea is exhausted right now, so lets wait for something to happen before we bring up the idea again.
Also, sorry for the long post :P
