Will there be update to PTB before it hits life ?

I'm wondering based on a few hints that devs already have more developed version of The Blight so I'd like to know if it's worth to stay on the PTB or if I should return to live.

I'm asking since I don't want to constantly re-download each version back and forth so any kind of confirmation that the PTB will get another newer version would be nice to hear if it's planned.
