Only use killers for BP
Does anyone else do this? I got all the teachable perks on the killers side and now don't really care to play them unless I want to grab some fat BP to put on my survivors. I wish they would make getting blood points for survivors a tad bit easier.

Good point. I think if survivors could have as much bloodpoints as killers, it woult be great for game health. It means more people play survivors and instant lobbies for killers. Queue tmes are better with crossplay, but there is still a room to decrease queue times for killers.

I’m on ps4 and it has always took 10-20mins for survivor and 2-3 seconds as killer. Even with crossplay. I actually think killer times are faster by a few seconds if I turn off crossplay for killer.

I was just thinking this today. Survivors deserve to earn as much bloodpoints as killers can.

The problem is that the Killer (and one survivor) needs to stay for the entirety of the trial's duration. The game ends when the last survivor escapes or is sacrificed/killed. You cannot boost the BP gain for survivors overall because it'd make people less inclined to play Killer.

Didn't know that. I play on steam and I always have pretty instant susrvivor queue and about minute killer queue at evening. And about 3 minutes queue on weekend for killer. I tought 3 mins is long queue but wow.

Be careful with that talk
Survivors earning as much BP as killers is obviously survivor main talk, as anything that doesn't treat killers as super duper special is anti-killer.

I partially agree. But it is really really rare for survivor to gain more than 28k bp, and for killer it is pretty normal. It is possible to gain even 32k bp as survivor, but it is just legendary rare moments. Killer having 32k bp is much more common compare to survivors no matter how good survivor is.

Yeah on ps4 I’m assuming the ratio is probably 80 Survivor : 20 Killer. Which is why there isn’t enough killers for survivors. There has always been a shortage. I’m assuming because of the horrible frames console gets no one wants to play killer. I usually play killer more because I can finish about 5-6 games in 2 hours compared to the maybe 2 or if I’m lucky 3 game’s in 2 hours as survivor.

Imagine punishing survivors for playing well and giving extra bp to killers for playing bad.

Because its easier for the Killer to get points in every category (as they all involve interaction with the Survivors) and he have to stay the longest (more chances for interactions).
Survivors would get a lot of points as well if all of their categories required interactions with the Killer, but they don't. Only one category for survivors directly involve interaction with the Killer (Boldness), one requires the killer to do damage to survivors (Altruism) and the other two is purely based on the survivor themselves. Objective in particular can be hard to get if you end up being chased all game and Survival is hard overall, since it requires you to escape for most points.

-Survivors can get faster lobby time over killers. (EDIT: I mean that if you escape/die you can re-queue sooner. You do not need to sit around until the end of the match)
-Survivors can get items/add-ons without the need to spend any bloodpoints making their economy much cheaper.
-Killers have to stay in a lobby until everyone is dead or escaped.
-Killers have to spend bloodpoints in order to get any add-ons and have no way to reduce the economy they need to spend.

i do the opposite, since survivor is so easy to play / grind with. I run with ace in the hole to get free high quality addons and I use those in my matches. Games are usually pretty fast, I only average about 400 xp per survivor game, it's pretty easy to just rush gens, get chased for a couple minutes, unhook a person or two, then exit. At about 20k average per game, I make about 3-4k bloodpoints per minute on average.

survivor do need to get more BP in game.

Couldn't agree more. The problem I see is that there are four Bloodpoint categories, and each have a 8000 BP cap. For killer it's not that bad because they can fulfill the role of all four categories, but as a survivor you don't always have a choice to gain BP in all four categories. If they increased the category cap to 16000 yet of course still kept the overall cap at 32k, that would be optimal.

These points are all true except the first one, Survivor queue was much faster before crossplay but now its kinda flipped, for me atleast.

They can but it is really rare because you have to share Objectives and Totem's with 3 other People who the Killer don't have to.

Yeah sorry what I meant by the first point is that if you escape/die you can re-queue for another match faster. I did not mean your actual queue time is faster.

ah then I guess I misunderstood, my bad

No, I didn't convey what I meant very well, it was my fault haha.

No. I play them for fun. Bp is a bonus

It can't be denied that killers for sure earn far more BP easily than a Survivor can, mainly due to BBQ. Survivors have WGLF on David sure, but when there are 3 other survivors fighting for that unhook, you can easily miss out on a stack. There have been many times I've run the perk alongside Kindred and there's always a survivor crouched near the hook so I can't get there for a stack in time. And combined with the fact that 3 other survivors are doing Gens, Totems and Chests, you could easily miss out on a lot of points, especially if you're in a chase with the killer.

Killers need more BP than survivors. They are far more add-on dependent, and each one plays very differently. A good perk for one killer, might not be a good perk for another killer. Survivors are just skins.
