can we just delete badham variants
I get these maps to often and there just to surv biased, especially badham 2. they have a god building with 2 godpallet spawns and an god loop, a shack with a god pallet, house of pain with very safe loops that would loose me a game and so, so, so many small little pallets that you can chain together. also as well as this the generators spawn in these buildings giving surv immediate access to it
does anyone agree with me on this.

I would love a map thats just one big empty room with no windows, no pallets, no loops, or debris and just one gen in the center.

yea, thats not what im saying. its just the combanation of all of them all close to each other

Even if 3/4 variants are deleted, your chances of going to badham are pretty much the same, since the preschool is in 1 realm.
The way I know it the system randomly picks a realm (e.g springwood, Autohaven Wrecker's, The macmillian estate), and then randomly picks a map from this realm.

I could deal with it, if we didn't get essentially the same map 5 times more often than any other. Most of the features are downright painful, you have the shack, the preschool AND the house of pain which are all incredibly strong points for survivors. I really wish they would just not be treated as different maps, so "Badham" had the same chance as any individual map and then the variant was picked after.
But the new map changes look to be very good for it. Pallet walls make the house of pain less brainless, and there's a pallet wall blocking an entrance to the school which can seal off the terrible window loop, or prevent leaving the school straight out of the downstairs.

The fact a building is called "the house of pain" has not been looked into and changed is really bad.
One giant loop leading into windows with see through stairs and a god pallet, nah no problems here.

It's map based, not realm based. They changed it when Crotus Penn came out because it made disturbed ward appear 1 in 4 times.

I feel like if gens were moved to more accessible locations like in the street and house of pain was just deleted that'd be fine for me.
I know they're making god gen more accessible, so that's good.

It has been on a PTB, one of the staircases is blocked by a breakable wall.

i agree that the positioning of the gens are bad but i feel even if they were in the ooen, people would just take the speed boost from a hit to the god buildings or just run away early

I'm guessing it's the doorway going to where the car is? That's amazing, I never got a chance to play new trashham.

Thats the one, it still seems to be a strong building but nowhere near where it was.

I agree, but not for any of the reasons you listed. I just genuinely cannot tell the difference between the variants, so I don't see the need for so many.
0 -
for what reason do you not like the map then ?
0 -
I don't dislike it; I just think it only needs one version. Maybe I misunderstood the original post. I'm saying delete four Badham maps and keep one for the realm.

From what I've seen from watching a couple of streamers play, there's a number of different pallet walls on each of the buildings and different ones spawn each time. It definitely works that way for the preschool.

Really? I only got the map 2 times but it seemed to be the same layout for the walls.

I was watching Zubat and he got it 2 games in a row. In the first, the pallet wall on the preschool was on the left entrance (facing the school) and I thought it was nice. On the second it was the right entrance next to the car loop and blocking off the huge fence loop and I nearly messed my pants. It COULD be based on the variation of Badham, or it could be different each time.

huh guess i just got really lucky/unlucky with only getting one layout then, I had the house of pain and the right school entrance for the walls both times

And 8 hooks around that gen

Just commenting to say I agree. 5 variations of Badham is absolute overkill.
0 -
Yeah, we don't need five variations of Badham. It's already too Survivor sided. Hopefully the upcoming patch fixes that.

I like the variations personally--keeps me on my toes and any additional variation to the game is good in my book.
I'd really like to see the same with the game, lerys, dead dawg etc. They have the assets already, switching up the map shape can go such a long way in changing how the game plays.

I never saw a reason why we needed 5 "variations" of the same map in the first place.

Newest Map: The Escape Room (makes survivors solve riddles and puzzles. 3 chances, EGC triggers NOED and the newest killer is The Riddler who just sits there watching in a chair watching from a monitor) 🤷♂️

There really should be more map variants like this, there are plenty of realms that should get more. I'm also a little baffled you think you gameplay is bad, I've always felt it had some of the most "balanced" loops due to how many can be won with mindgames and smart plays instead of crap and god loops.
These also keep the realms from going stale, and gives more opportunities at variety with set tile spawns.

If anything other singleton maps need variations as well or an increase in appearance percentage to balance out other maps that have many variants thus get chosen more often.
0 -
They should just change the map selection from picking from the available maps to picking the realm first, then the map.

Yeah, tired of only getting Autohaven.
