Is it too hard to change (swap) Discordance's effect from lvl 1-3 to 3-1?!

Almost 2 years we have Discordance lvl 1 that better than lvl 2 and even lvl 3. It's so stupid that if you level up this perk it's going to be worse than the previous one.

Devs, please, change it as soon as possible.

Pretty sure Devs said it is on their list. Dont know where it is, but someone wrote it.

They've said before, that they don't plan to change it because some people prefer having less noise popups that level 1 has.

I think the majority would rather have the most efficient thing though, so it's kind of silly. We should just be able to choose any perk tiers tbh.

Devs said they are not going to change it. This is because tier 1 or 3 are both good it is just up to preference if you want notifications quick or not.

...Let's just not talk about the fact that you can't switch between whichever you prefer.

Tier 1 is categorically worse for information than tier 3. The only difference between them is that tier 1 keeps a gen lit up longer after multiple people are no longer on it.

I would prefer they let you select which tier you want to use with it.

The best solution would be to allow players to choose which tier they run perks at.

    I categorically disagree with you.

The more often you get information, the more usefull will be to you.

lvl 1 give you notification that 2 as minimum survivors are repairing gen per 8 seconds

lvl 2 give you notification that 2 as minimum survivors are repairing gen per 10 seconds

lvl 3 give you notification that 2 as minimum survivors are repairing gen per 12 seconds

    For example:

    • the survs start to repair a gen, you get a notification about it
    • after 17 seconds one of them go away from it

If you have lvl 3, you get a notification 2 times (in the beginning and after 12 seconds). After another 12 seconds (24 seconds from the beginning of the action) you get info that 2 survs as minimum are no longer repairing the gen. It means that between 13-24 seconds from the beginning of the action one of them stopped repairing and went away (if 2 survs were repairing the gen)

If you have lvl 1, you get the notification 3 times (in the beginning, after 8 seconds and after 16 seconds). And at 24 seconds from the beginning of the action you get info that 2 survs as minimum are no longer repairing the gen. It means that between 17-24 seconds from the beginning of the action one of them stopped repairing and went away (if 2 survs were repairing the gen)

    As the result:

    • at lvl 3 you have a period of 12 seconds that show you that only one surv is repairing or no one else
    • at lvl 1 you have the period of 8 seconds of it

If you're going to the gen that is shown in yellow by the perk, you get info when someone stop to repair and more likely go away from it.

Discordance level 1 alert you more often than level 2 and 3 and that info helps you to understand when the surv/survs stopped doing gen and went away and based on it, you can imagine where he moved or stayed nearby.

8<12 seconds (you get info about it for a shorter time). The less time surv gets, the less distance can be the between him and the gen.

It all comes down to preference, there's no right or wrong. The devs are gonna rework the perk so it caters to everyone.

    Not really, tbh.

Someone who preferred the Tier 3 Version will not have any other choice than using the new Tier 3-Version, while someone who used the Tier 1-Version, will simply have to upgrade the Perk. But there is no going back from Tier 3 to Tier 1.

It’s personal preference on which version you like none are stronger or weaker then the other but to stop the dumb bickering like this post it’s being reworked to most likely have tier 2 effect goes off every 10 seconds unless they do a full rework and add another effect that progresses with tiers

I think it's unneseccary because 99% of all perks have a lot possitive bonus as you upgrading them.

If we have it, for old hex:"Devour hope" will be good because old lvl1 haven't exposed effect and show the icon to the survs only when the killer can kill em.

Lots of rank 1 streamers like to challenge themselves by running sub-optimal builds, or offer such things as donation rewards, so I can see there being a use for it.

this thread is actually popping up every day so i actually need an "Obligatory daily discordance post". Why do you do this to me?

Like @Aven_Fallen has said, devs have confirmed it's on their list of things to do, to make the best of both worlds.

As it stands though, I prefer T3 to T1. I hate the constant noise, it makes tracking harder for me, my anxiety spike, and I can't deal with it. At least on T3 it makes the noise tolerable. If it was just swapped then ######### me gently with a chainsaw I guess because I'm never ever using that perk again. At least as it is, if people want T1 they'll often be able to have it (not all the time I'm aware because the bloodweb is a #########).
