Cross-Play
so I have a questing to people who have turned off cross-play why?
how long does it take to get in a lobby?, As killer and Survive.
How many people want there to be just cross-play with console's players and not with PC players?

I played just over 5hrs of cross play. Lobbies were longer by 5-10 on average and the performance was even worse lag and frame rate drop. I play on Ps4 and likely won't put it on other than to play with someone on another platform and that will be rare.
I specifically don't think PC and Console should cross play with the current conditions that console is in but the devs do what they want.
Players raised this concerns over a year ago and we were told console optimization almost 2 years ago and the last several patches have made it even worse.

Exactly what you said, I’m on ps4 and long wait times and lag make crossplay unbearable.

Friday morning my solo que was 3-4 mins on PS4 specific after lunch i put on cross play to again give it a shot and solo que was 10-15 mins. I played like that for 2 hrs and went back to PS4 specific and lobbies were 5mins and less performance issues.
I HAVE ZERO INCENTIVE to Cross Play!!

I've noticed frames or lag issues on PC playing killer. I had someone try and do a 4 man SWF with x-plat turned off. Took almost an hour for them to find a lobby. It's so obvious when I'm going against a killer who is x-plat as I can easily 360 them compared to a PC killer. Plus, they camp and tunnel way more from my encounters so far. I don't like the x-plat right now. I highly doubt they will fix it.

I play on ps4, I turned crossplay off after playing for hours solo on the first day - I had played over a dozen matches. I was bumped to purple from rank reset, first couple matches were red/purple ranks and the rest were rainbow ranks. The wait was close to 10 minutes which was longer than I was getting before during the day as solo.
Solo experience was not enjoyable at all to the point it was making me not want to play DBD at all anymore. It felt like the survivors from other platforms work more against eachother than with eachother as a team. If I had a lobby that didn't have atleast one other ps4 player I would be left on the hook until I died or hit struggle, usually die. While other platforms wouldn't make effort to save someone from the hook they were obnoxious about being healed, I had someone block me from being able to get to someone struggling because they wanted to be healed. The only times I escaped were when my lobbies were mostly other ps4 players because they would work with team to help others and get gens done. Other platforms weren't helping their teammates and weren't getting gens done, seemed like they mostly just wanted their teammates to die so they could try for the hatch.
Since I've turned off crossplay my waits are only a minute or two for survivor or killer. I am mostly getting lobbies with ranks closer to mine with occasional random rainbow ranks. I have yet to see a repeat of players I've played with/against so thinking a decent amount of ps4 have also turned off crossplay.
I don't know if the bad teammates were mostly pc or other consoles, I honestly didn't put effort into trying to figure it out. I wouldn't mind giving console only crossplay a try to see if maybe solo experience would be better.

I quit killer so I only play survivor. I mostly have cross-play turned off.
The queue times are pretty slow with or without cross-play, I only switch cross-play on if its at an hour that is very slow playing with no cross-play... it is sometimes slightly faster UPDATE: There are days where its slow for both opt in or out and days where its pretty nice.
Teammates suck... they don't do gens and the decision making is just a facepalm... matchmaking is pretty terrible rn... opting out is the better option here. UPDATE: Teammates still suck mostly, but I did run into very few okay ones.
Constant tunneling with the killers and just more toxic killers period, but the killers are better in cross-play, but duh. UPDATE: No change here, theres just more toxic players in cross-play. 🤷🏼♂️
Pc does have an advantage like it or not... it is what it is. UPDATE: period

I would love the option of just console players, there is no downside there at all for anyone. Pc players queue times would still be better than it was because not everyone will choose that option. Their not losing out on anything there. I know they won't do it tho because as always we must take big sh*ts on console players, y'know? It wouldn't be the same we didn't. I would want consoles only regardless of the fps problem being fixed.

Ps4. Cross play sucks. I have fiber gigabit and ping is over 100, rubber band all over the place. Done with the game until it’s fixed.

I'm on PS4 as well and when cross-play first went live I noticed a considerable difference in the wait times as I was able to hop into matches fairly quickly. But since then the wait times have been pretty much on par with what it's always been when I was just playing with other PS4 players.
And I completely agree that the last thing console players should be doing is playing with PC players! The other day I went against a rank 1 PC Billy that just wrecked my team. The matchmaking wasn't fair since none of us were red ranks, but given the better optimization and FPS that the PC player had, we didn't stand a chance.

Turning it off pretty much guarantees that I will not get a game in my region I either I have to put up with the crossplay or play on high ping unfortunately.
