I was wondering why in this game We can't voice chat or text with the other survivers in game?

Because the game as it was originally was supposed to have no communication. Then the devs caved in to review bombing ######### and added in SWF and broke the game forever/

Here we go again - SWF was planned from the beginning. But the Devs only had time to put either KYF or SWF into the game on Release so they went for SWF. They said it during one of the early Livestreams.
It is simply wrong to think that Developers would plan a Multiplayer Onlinegame without the intention in mind to have friends play together.
Also, the feature was added shortly after the release, you dont create something like that in a few weeks from scratch.
But hey, try to de-justify SWF by repeating this over and over again that the Devs were not planning to include it, as wrong as it can be.

U could just mute them but as a team game wouldn't it be easier to balance if everyone can chat and coordinate in game then they could fix the any issue a lot easier

No it wasn't. It was never intenteded to be in the game. It was only added because a bunch of survivors bitched. If it was intended to be in the game, the game would be balanced around it and the killer would have some kind of recompense or ability to deal with it. They do not. Your point is invalid.

They said it in one of the early Livestreams of 2016 or so. I mean, you can make up reasons how much you like to prove your wrong point, but the Devs said it.

They also didn't expect the game to get so big so fast, they also changed sounds on the killer side and pretended it was a bug They also changed engravings without saying anything and only admitted to it when it was proven.

Why do these exist in a game planned around freely passing on information?
Why don't they have in game coms, even if it is only active when a group joins together?
Why don't we have quick chat for solo players with common phrases like "i will save" or "i am being / not being chased"
Because the game was designed with uncertainty being part of the balance. SWF with voip obliterates that.

It would help new players while not affecting the top players as much. Just need to buff killers accordingly to help negate this.

I still don't know where people are coming from when they say the Devs should "balance around SWF", because most SWF groups are no better than solos, they just want to mess around and have fun, or play the game normally. You can't balance the game around SWF because not everyone wants to communicate, or even can due to language barriers, anxiety, speech issues or maybe they don't even have a mic, now those solos are having an even more miserable experience. bad survivors aren't gonna get better automatically just because they can speak to other people, they're still gonna get dumped on by killers, even more than they already do if you want to go the route of buffing every killer to compensate for Comms.

There is no problem with friends, but they do need to be treated like a different animal. They need their own que and own Ranking. And to be perfectly honest, Killers need the option to opt out, or the DEV need to put in something to balance that 5th Perk (Comms). I have faith it will all come together. It is clear the DEV are aware of the issue and hence why ALL of the upcoming Perks on Blight deal with slowing down the Gen-Rush which was vastly amplified by SWF.

There is a chat, I think you are on console because on console most games don't have a chat. It is just complicated to give console players a chat since they play on a controller instead of an keyboard. I don't know about the ingame voice chat they I think they could add that, even tho it isn't really needed.

Then why don´t they balance the game properly? IF it was always inteded, they must have had plans for balancing with and without communication.
Also, why did they make killer perks that become useless if you have a swf group?

But personally, I dont see SWF as a problem. most of them are not good at the game. Even the ones who try to bully the Killer might end up getting beaten.
Sure, there are 4 man SWFs who are really strong and almost unbeatable. But those are not many at all. I mean, of course a lot of people pretend they went against one of those Squads, even if they did not.
And regarding Killer Perks which can become useless... most of those are not run by Killers anyway. Even if SWF gets banned tomorrow, nobody will start using Third Seal or Knockout, lol.

Also, by your logic, moris are fine. Most killers that run them are not good at the game. And a lot of survivors pretend they lost to the mori, when they would have lost anyway. I doubt that most people share either view.

SWF was always planned, but they also said way back in the beginning that they would never add voice to the game because it was designed to be played without it and not having all those known quantities that come with it.
Apparently, they never heard of Discord when they planned for SWF, which shows a severe lack of planning, foresight, and basic game design common sense.

Nah. You cant make Voice Chat mandatory and balance around that. Some people want an immersed experience and dont want to talk to other people. This alone is a reason against this, since you have every player in mind and not only those who like to play with Friends.

I watched an early livestream, I think it was on twitch, where they said the opposite of you and rather said what the guy you quoted did. This was back during, or right around (can't recall if before or after but was right around) beta. I suppose they said that because they needed people that were only interested in killer side to play the game. I've believed that was the reason for saying that anyways for four years myself. Whether they meant it, or only said it to not scare killers off I'll never be certain. But it always rubbed me the wrong whether or not it was true for either reason that they said it.

Actually I may have not remembered it entirely correctly, and the guy I quoted here I think is actually right about it. The livestream I am thinking of was giving reasons for why voicechat did not coincide with the experience they intended to create, and I may have mistakenly associated that with swf (not insensibly) since it's been quite along time since then.

I don't really see the point of voice coms since I'll and many others will probably mute it 99.9% of the time, I endured FF13th experience already and my ears don't want to suffer from squeakers irritating voices everytime they get chased or hooked, slugged with DS or whateverelse.
Susie voice is enough already.
