New wave of Hackers.
Anyone else experiencing a new wave of hackers? From people who go full on DDoS on your ip, to ones that are ending matching as they started, escaping through the exit gate after a single gen is finished, etc. I am starting to actually find issue playing the game besides balance and all of that which i dont care much about, but It seems nearly every game is filled with some sort of hack. I stopped playing killer thinking it was mostly that, but survivor as well seems to have plenty of hacking Huntress's, Wraiths, and oddly enough legions.
Wonder whats the cause of the sudden influx?

I haven't experienced any of these recently and i really don't think they would specifically target you with a ddos. Aside from that there are quite a few bugs maybe that's what they're doing is exploiting those. I have only a handful of times encountered hackers in this game and that was almost 2 years ago on a free weekend. The servers are a bit wonky currently with crossplay and that may be the problem you're facing here.

Yes, I played against of couple swf's recently that was lagswiching. They didn't give me a chance to hook when I down them and they also dissapear in middle of chase. Yesterday was a second time. One of them was called "Fair Player". First time I played against similar hackers guy was named "Bad Internet".
And one time I was playing Huntress and at the end of the match one survivor was mad at me blaming me hacking. I never used cheats in multiplayer games. This wave of hackers also make people paranoid.

Video proof?

I think this is just a case of you not understanding the game mechanics or you are experiencing some internet or lag issues. Hackers are extremely rare in this game. I have about 4500 hours and can count on one hand the amount of times i can certainly recall a blatant hacker in my game. Also people with bad framerates (console) can have wacky movement.

Yes. It's not something that BHVR can hide.. A famous streamer directly streamed one recently. @IIITweedleIII Your video proof.

Yea i got a few thousand hours in the game as well have have barely experienced any hackers until tonight, so maybe its just an off chance

Tell me about it. I down a console player, look down to pick them up (and the prompt to Pick Up is showing) and then they teleport on the ground some 10-12 feet away. Annoying. And I can only assume they're on console due to the globe, and the fact that I never had this issue pre-crossplay when the globe would mean Windows Store PC for me.

Seems like Killers have found a way to lagswitch again, at least it looks like lagswitching looked back in the day when P2P was a thing.
@Topic: I dont face more hackers than usual, which means, none to almost none. I had 10 Hackers at max during my 4600 hours of playtime.

Interesting. I'm usually one to call out that this game does have a decent amount of hackers, which is proven not only by my experience but seeing streamers run into them once in a while. Tonight though I played for hours and didn't run into any. I'm in EST though, it does seem to vary by regions in waves.

Seen a video of someone who ended up outside the map because of a hook glitch. They walked over to the exit gates and they escaped with 3 gens left.

Ah yeah I just seen that a bit ago on Reddit. I need a bigger gaming chair.

I definitely think that one to see what killer it is in the lobby must still be around. Had a Spirit daily today, and it's been a LONG time since I saw that many Iron Wills, strangely enough it was all the PC players who can say stuff in the pregame.

I've seen other survivors using speed hacks where they move at like 300% speed everywhere. It looks like they're crouched speeding everywhere. I play on PS4 and had never experienced this until cross play.

Yep same thing happened to me. Somehow, they're preventing hooks by pulling the plug and I'm unable to hook or drop the survivor. When I hit escape to check the ping, their ping is over 1k but it drops down to normal in a chase. They also don't say anything in endgame chat which just adds to the suspicion.
