Spirit Rework
Speed: 4.4 m/s
Terror Radius: 26 meters
Hight: Whatever it is
Power: Rage of the Ancestors
The fury of the ones before you enrivh you with powers yet to be seen by mankind, but such strength has its limits.
After atacking a survivor the abilty "Phasewalk" gains one token. One token can be consumed to use "Phasewalk". Tokens cannot go above 3 times.
"Phasewalk":
After a short charge time The Spirit enters the spirit realm and leaves behind a husk that turns when she turns, in the spirit realm her movement speed is increased considerabley and her lunge is also increased. In it survivors have their Spirit Form which will preform all actions for the survivor with a 1 second delay. Survivors outside of her terror radius will hear phasing sound when she is in the spirit realm, when in her terror radius the survivors will not hear her phasing sound.
Addons:
Mostly I think to replace the speed with token increases and have the soeed increasee slighlty increase it.
Also the speed in her phasewalk is meant to be to normal of what is it now when in her phasewalk.

Honestly, she doesn’t need all that. A small change like being able to hear her footsteps would go really far in making her balanced.

Lmao.
Just like they said, now that Nurse then Billy got the axe, the crowds demand to nerf the next strongest killer. Maybe we'll live to see the day when players protest to nerf Clown.
Spirit is fine. Learn how to counter her.
11 -
I know someone who says he’s OP because of his ability zone and shut down loops so he needs a nerf.
1 -
She doesn't need a rework, just something like -50% to injured noises while phasing and MAYBE just remove her husk when she phases.
7 -
Umm. I dont go against Spirit all that much, in fact I main her. So yeah its not because I cant counter her its because I know shes very fustrating due to the lack of info she gives.
1 -
Ture but if she had that, good spirits could slaughter survivors with Stridor.
0 -
Oh? Thats really good! Hearing her footsteps would add some sort of counterplay but chances are you'll react too late and get grabbed or get hit becauase the TR is so loud, it would punish survivors for not wearing headphones or for having hearing problems.

You dont want to nerf spirit. You just want boring predictable games where you can loop with out using your head.
2 -
-50% would mean that she'd hear less injured noises while phasing. With Stridor, she'd hear regular injured noises, and with Stridor + Iron Will survivors would be silent: -100% +50% -50%. It would only be during phase so she'd still benefit fully from Stridor outside of phase.
Removing the husk would remove the potential for just standing still being a "MiNd GaMe" as you would know a Spirit is standing still, not phasing. It would still allow you to phase without moving so the survivor would run towards you and you appear in the same place, but would at least require some guess work on the side of the Spirit too.

Um, no? I love playing Spirit. Why would I nerf her? Because she gives me little feedback as a survivor so countering her is incredibly luck based.
1 -
Idk about it being luck based. I find countering her phase walk easy when im not injuried. Sure when using stridor it sucks. But its the game. I dont want everything in dbd handed to me easily as a surv. If she is mind gaming a pallet, just walk away. WALK not run. If she is using stridor, whats the difference from getting insta downed as bully or bubba? The chainsaw noises? She has tells she is going into phase walk. You just gotta pay attention to it. And if you main spirit as you say. You should know these tells by now.

Everyhting you states is worng, I beileve.
1. If your injured and you walk away she can still hear you, if your not she still hear you.
2. She makes no "phasing" sound when in terror radius.
3. The difference is you know when she is, Bubba has obvious noises and is still visible, Billy if played right can he juked. But Spirit gives no indication.
Please forgive me if what I said was wrong.

A better notification noise would be nice. The dev's have stats on win rates and other stuff, so maybe if spirit is winning way to much they would give a proper nerf.

Spirit is FINE.
1 -
How is Spirit fine? She has mind-games that have no counter. Standing still is a mindgame that people fall for. If you walk away she'll phase to you.
2 -
It's a matter of luck. His counterplay and mind games mechanics are different.
If you want to learn better how to counter her, use iron will or play as Spirit.

Remove all audio while phasing; show her to survivors in spirit form phasing (or something like a 'wisp' of where she is phasing); and make both scratch marks and blood visible while phasing as part of basekit.

I do play Spirit, also you shouldn't have to bring a perk to counter someone you might not meet.
0 -
You are able to hear her footsteps when she phases.
But, it’s very subtle and it’s probably already too late once others realize/hear them.

Stop believing that all These People are part of some huge group to get every killer nerfed. It‘s simply not true. Some Killers just could use some tweaking, since many people feel that killers like Spirit just don‘t have fair, skill based counterplay. Sure there are those rare Special survivor Mains that would probably want to nerf every killer, but most People aren‘t like that.

What a ridiculous post. Do you assume that everyone that says they would want a certain killer nerfed a bit simply wants Killers they can easily beat? Disagreeing is fine but at least try to understand where some people are coming from instead of just accusing anyone to want bad Killers in the game like some 12 year old.
But of course twisting the words of people into something ridiculous makes it much easier to argue against them.

Im sorry, have you read the arguments against spirit? "Oh we have to guess what to do next" "oh she can hear us if she uses a perk and voids a perk we use." I mean strawman argument, remember the nurse nerf? But cool. Please continue.

Look, they are not rare. Half the playerbase, including killers act along the same pattern: see something that's strong on the opponent, make up some intricate reasoning why it's "unfun to play against" or "has no counterplay". The truth is, everything has counterplay. Sometimes it's difficult to pull off, sure, but I honestly haven't seen a reasonable argument for this "no counterplay" thing, except maybe original Legion and MYC + Mint Rag Hag.
People just want things easy. But Spirit is fair: if you're good with her, you will get some kills. Is that wrong?

I get that those kind of people are, sadly enough, not rare. But that still doesn't mean everyone is like that, and some people bring up fair arguments that people could at least try to understand. If you've got counter arguments, great. That's how an actual discussion works. But sadly there are many people in general, not only when it comes to games, that can't properly particepate in a discussion. Politics in particular have that problem with many idiots.
I also don't agree with the fact that Spirit has no counterplay, the only killer to ever have no counterplay was Legion. But I do understand where some people are coming from. As far as I know, there are two problems many people have with Spirit, besides the usual no counterplay argument.
The first problem is that the counterplay against Spirit is completely luck based. You have absolutely no visual feedback while Spirit is phasing, you just guess where she'll reappear and act accordingly, praying that wherever you went, she won't appear there. It's just purely luck based guessing.
The second problem is that she really seems to have no counterplay when you are injured. Since she can hear exactly where you are, you can't really evade her. The only thing you can really do is stand at a pallet or window and hope she reappears on the wrong side of the window/pallet. Here in particular, I think the problem is that the mindgames against her are no 50/50 mindgames, Spirit clearly has the upper hand by far when a survivor is injured, and that even seems to be the case when a survivor isn't injured, to a lesser degree, because of how much faster she can move. There seems to be very little to do against her when you are injured, and even if you are healthy, she might at times hear your breathing sounds.
The one good thing right now is that the sounds are broken, so that can throw a Spirit player off at times I guess. But that's of course not a fix because the sound needs to be fixed desperately.
Add to that the fact that she can very easily catch up to survivors when they try to get from one tile to the next, where if survivors don't get to another tile, they have to somehow try and lose Spirit which is very unlikely if the Spirit knows what she is doing and notices when scratchmarks disappear, and Spirit can really feel like she has way too little counterplay that also isn't engaging nor skill based in the slightest.
