Just had my first encounter with a hacker
A little over 1500 hours in the game and I encountered my first genuine hacker today. Was in a SWF with two other friends on The Game (Killer offering). Killer (Pyramid Head) has Corrupt. I'm running around, trying to find a gen. Friend #1 gets spotted by PH and chase begins. 1st gen pops (this is about 20-30 seconds into the game). I ask friend #2 if by chance they were on a gen with Claudette (the random). He says no, he's still looking for an unblocked gen, he thought it was me. 2nd gen gets popped while he's saying this. That's two gens in about 40 seconds. Friend #2 asks if it was Friend #1 is doing gen, but he's still being chased.
So yeah, Claudette was hacking. Went looking for her. Couldn't even find her when the 3rd gen gets popped. Finally spot her on gen #4. Gen 4 went at a regular speed (didn't help her at all, just stood close to the gen to watch the progression). She knew I knew and tried to make it look like she wasn't doing anything. Friend #1 gets downed (finally). Go for the save. I think PH knew what was going on, he wasn't really trying. He was from console, so he couldn't even see chat after the game.
Claud finishes the last gen, we all leave. We call her out in chat. She's super defensive and playing dumb:
"I have a toolbox with add-ons"

Anyway, my friends and I reported her on Steam and in-game. Hopefully it'll actually be looked into lol. I hope that poor Pyramid Head sees this. After-game chat was almost more frustrating than the actual game itself because she was acting like we were stupid and like she hadn't done anything wrong. Don't get why people cheat, but oh well! Just wanted to share this.

I’d have tried to sandbag her and let her die. She deserves it for hacking.

We tried. We tried to bring PH over to her and point, but either he didn’t get it or just didn’t care at that point, so she got out :(

The worst hackers are those that try to do it without being obvious about it. Sometimes I fear that the matches where people get gen rushed particularly hard might have had a cheater that simply had a not too noticeable boost in repair speed that still made quite a difference. I had one match where I feared that was the case, but it's honestly not possible to tell.
I went against a survivor once, that in key moments were able to run just as fast as me with a 115% killer, which was Leatherface. Once when I used my chainsaw, she was barely slower than I moved even though Leatherface's chainsaw is much faster than running survivors. I mentioned it to the person in the after game chat but they just replied with "Are you kidding", which seemed like they didn't know what I was talking about. I'm still quite positive they were cheating but I guess there might have been the possibility that it was just lag, she just never teleported like you would expect from someone lagging.
That match also had gens going ridiculously fast, so I assume that person also had a repair speed hack. It's real sad though that some people need to cheat in order to win matches, and then actually feel good about it, instead of getting better at the game.

Im on ps4 and i think i had one against all crossplay players. I killed 1. I was chasing another one and noticed a claudette hiding in shadows on lery. I hit her and she's just standing there so i hit her again. As soon as i do that match ends with enitiy displeased and they all have 30k bloodpoints.
