Will DBD ever innovate further than this perpetual "capture the flag" game mode?

DBD has infinite possibilities to innovate including very funny and cool new game modes, but we are sticked to the same "capture the flag" mode

I got the impression the devs do not wanna risk at all, taking too seriously the sentence we say computer science "if it works, DONT touch it!!", devs are too afraid of implementing new stuff for two reasons: (1) they may break it and taking long to fix, and (2) the business can be downhill if (1)

what do you think? when DBD dies in few years (like most of games), will we ever see new game modes?

    This is it. This is the game you purchased and decided to install. The game is a 'cat and mouse' multiplayer. It's not a mode, it's literally just the game. There's absolutely reason for the devs to suddenly make it an arcade style video game, and honestly it's kind of weird that you'd expect that.

    Not to mention that BHVR is an indie studio and they genuinely need all of their employees actively working on the one "capture the flag" mode. Also, imagine how much longer queue times would be with the player base spread among game modes.

    Nah. I like gathering one of the four flags that run around and planting them in my flag holder.

    If the game was more popular and I mean A LOT more popular maybe. But the other guy gave a list of reasons why it’s unlikely and they sum up the reality of it.
