Killer quits game but I get the DC penalty?

I'm not sure if this is a bug or what, but I was in a match,it was just me and a Laurie who was hiding all game, and then suddenly the game ends, I get 24k points from the match, the game says the killer disconnected, and yet I now have a DC ban of 15 mins?

This has happened a few times this month, and my internet is fine, so what's going on here, anyone else have this issue?

    This happened to me today, too. When I got back to the lobby and saw the countdown I just turned off the game. I'd rather not play at all if there's no guarantee I won't get punished for something that's absolutely out of my control.

    15 minutes is flatout STUPID for a ban. This game already has bad enough Q times the way it is. No wonder why Q times BLOW, because everyone is sitting around waiting.

    The default "ban" is 5 minutes. To get to 15, he would've had to DC multiple times before this killer DC bug happened to him. Although if the killer himself was DCIng multiple times and was somehow "splitting" his DC penalty with the entire group, that could be yet another not-at-all-surprising bug.

    These guys really need to hire some new people who can get this crumbling game into shape. They can't seem to do the most basic of changes without massive cascading issues that take ages to fix.

    Yeah, they need to fix this. I got BP for a match, then still got a matchmaking penalty. Can't blame the killer for DCing though, cause that match was messed up and we almost certainly had a hacker.

    I had this randomly happen with The Oni earlier. Within the first minute he DC and I got the five minute penalty. I got the Safety Pip and earned 2100 BPs but penalized for his DC.
