Can we have cross play without PC?
So this is my first time back in awhile and i start by testing out the new bubba update, I thought from watching videos i knew how it worked but apparently not or I overestimated how long the charges last for, anyway I didn't have much time to learn because all the gens popped in legitimately less than 5 minutes. In that time I got to experience the most toxic survivors i have ever played with but whatever. Next game finishing up the plague achievement and again i have a full lobby of PC players and again the gens go instantly and again really toxic survivors (Killed a legacy tho). So 3rd game im playing hag and again....4 man swf and the gens go faster than ive ever seen them and the fastest I ever saw was two games ago. Also the most toxic team i've ever met. I think survivors on PC have a pretty big advantage with how easy and consistently they can 360 and just seem to have more control but more than that I think there's a difference in culture.
I wasn't able to play vs PC killers because i turned off cross play and now it wont let me turn it back on, but i suspect I would probably see a lot more Mori and Iri add ons than im used to as well as gd tier Huntresses, Nurses, and Deathslinger who are rare and relatively harmless on xbox. I think it's because PC players tend to spend 1000s and 1000s of hours on this game, not only perfecting their gameplay but also stocking up on all the OP ######### you normally only see once in a blue moon.Idk why the PC survivors are also all seemly in a gen rush and be as toxic as possible mindset but like i said, different.
So just to put this into perspective, DBD is the most toxic game i have ever played. PC players make it 4x as toxic to the point where its just not an enjoyable experience. And keep in mind im not talking about winning, im talking about having fun in the game. I brought out my Ghostface and 4k at 4 gens by slugging and tunneling, felt good after dealing with all the BS but thats not how i want to play every game. So i turned it off. But now theres a problem, Im not being matched with PS4 players. That's what i think the majority of people on console want, cross play with the guys that are basically the same. I would also throw Switch players in that mix because they probably have the smallest player base and it's really unfair for them to have to go against PC players.
I don't know an easy fix to this because again, its the culture and mindset more than having an upper hand, everyone i have talked to has turned off cross play, and in those killer matches i ONLY matched with PC players (I could tell by the names) so it doesn't seem like a hell of a lot of people happy with this but if it was just between console players I think everyone would be happy.
Sorry for such a wordy post but i want to make it clear that it's not because im salty at these matches, its that even if i play my ghostface or a strong Freddy build it takes away so much enjoyment having to deal with these ######### lol. And I know not all PC players are like that but gdamn i only had one match tonight that WASNT super toxic and optimal and it was because I played my very very best and they basically gave up after the first guy DC'd. If I they could they would have probably sent me hate mail. So please, just let the consoles play together. Still love the PC folks but i want to love them at a distance <3

You turn it on and off from the main menu, before you select your role. If you try to switch it on/off while you have a character selected the option will be greyed out.

I like how you associate good players and toxicity with PC. Cause those only exist on PC.

bro it's toxic to do fast generators because you can't make a serial killer who want to see you dead apply pressure, also one of the team must surrender because the poor killer want to assassin, no matter if you want to scape because that would be toxic and unbalanced.

I have every achievement in the game 5 and im red rank as both roles, which is why i also mentioned the fact that killers would also likely be a issue since they have even more of an advantage and make a handful of basically joke characters (Nurse and to a less extent but still bottom class Huntress and deathslinger) Killing machines. I can't really judge that because I didn't know I had to go back to the main menu to turn on cross play but and but besides all that this response is what im talking about. PC players seem much more dedicated to their role to the point where they don't care about the other side at all (weird only playing half the game you play for imo but its your game) and have the mindset and ability to bring an infinite number of toolboxes and brand new parts. Even in the most toxic games i've had it really doesn't compare to what i experienced in cross play because I think people on console take it less seriously, spend less time on it, and also understand survivor is the power role lol. I actually mostly see toxic survivors in low ranks for this reason, the higher the rank the cooler people normally are unless its just A hole SWF team which happens, but not EVERY game.
But as soon as i try to bring this up you guys tell me that im basically a trash killer main and need to suck it up and git gud.......kind of proving my point lol. Theres a reason everyone i know turned off cross play. Theres a reason i turned off cross play
And no i specifically said that wasn't the case. I actually don't think the PC players i played against were very "Good" they could just spend really fast and rushed gens every game. And like i said above in my experience on console toxic players are normally low rank because i think more people in high rank play both sides. There are of course more survivor mains like PC but I think it's mostly because people play with their friends for fun (Another important thing to note is that DBD is on gamepass giving us a more diverse playerbase, its how i got into the game and i would have never bought this game otherwise.) And it was given away for free on PlayStation plus. It's just a difference in culture, i've heard many people on PC talk about their play time in 1000s of hours. Someone was talking about juking at a certain loop and he couldn't do it but his friend with 4000 hours could and he only has 2000 hours so he just needs more time...thats insane!
I just checked and I have 620 hours. That is A LOT, im surprised at that, and i can promise you more than most people who play the game on xbox. And you know again I can slaughter most people with my main, as I proved, but I don't want to play every game like that. Im sure if i put in as much time on other killers as Ghostface then sure i could play whoever i want but im not otz i don't do this ######### for a living i do it for fun lol. And I know most people on xbox have the same mentality, I'm pretty sure its the same on PS which is why everyone is disabling crossplay. And god help those on the switch.
All im saying is xbox and PlayStation are basically the same thing, with very similar playerbase. Crossplay between us should be a no brainer to decrease lobby times. Switch and PC are very different platforms. I don't think its crazy to ask for an option to only have crossplay with consoles. Would anyone pick to pair with PC at that point? No probably not but that's something that has to be looked at on its on, I don't have the answer, its not my job to have the answer! I just want to play the game lol

Stop trashtalking to PC players like if there weren't sweaty squads and killers in ps4 who live with so hard toxicity

Look dude im not trying to be funny but I don't know what you're talking about lol. You played for 2.5 years on PC and now that there's cross play you're saying PS4 players are toxic too....even though correct me if im wrong, if you're playing on steam everyone who isn't on steam has the same symbol next to them right? Including Xbox, Switch, and even Windows?
You know what it doesn't matter lol. Because whatever you're saying its doesn't sound like you like PS4 players. That's ok because they don't want to play with you either, they want to play with me! And i want to play with them! We can be sweaty squads and killers who live with so hard toxicity together and not bother any of the PC master race! That's what people want lol

How can you tell if they are on PC or on another console? The globe icon is the same for both.

As a pc player I think it is reasonable to request this and for it to be an option. Whilst I would say that toxic players can be found on all platforms, there is no denying that PC players have an advantage on many aspects of the game including graphical enhancements, mouse etc.

* You don’t know if they’re on PC or not. You’re just assuming but you can’t know for sure.
* I play on PS4 and PC and to be honest there are a lot of SWF groups on PS4 too. Also there are toxic players on every platform.
* A lot of us want to play with friends. If they make crossplay with consoles only then most of us won’t be able to do that anymore.
* It’s easier to do 360s with a controller by the way.
* I don’t know why you’re saying there’s no option to turn crossplay back on. You can disable and enable crossplay as many times as you want. You just have to access settings from the main menu screen.

as a pc player there's defs toxic red rank survivors on pc but as a killer i've also found ones that im pretty sure are console, altho they could've been silent windows store players i guess. I don't know why windows store and steam are considered crossplay, they really need to start telling us what platform people are on instead of just "not yours." Or at least tell us if they can see chat or not.
Anyway i feel like an easier fix for this would be to enable kb+m on console. Should be possible on ps4 and xbone, dunno if switch is able to do it tho.
