The worst night of matchmaking that I have ever had.

It's no secret that the matchmaking is utter crap in this game, but tonight my team (which comprised of purples and greens) faced rank 1 Killers repeatedly tonight. We got worked over from high rank killers for three hours straight!

For the love of God devs, please fix your matchmaking system!

It's seriously starting to break me. I can't ######### stand it anymore. It creates a terrible experience for all players both experienced and inexperienced.

    Yeah matchmaking is a mess.

I'm red rank. And I keep being paired with three yellow ranks and consistently face a red rank killer, usually rank 1. You can probably imagine the fun I've had with these games. It's basically the same as playing with 3 Blendettes. Everyone is self-caring or crouching in a corner of the map furthest from the killer not touching any gens.

It's funny you say that, because it completely broke us last night! So much so that we turned off DBD and turned on Fall Guys instead. It was fun, light-hearted, and the matches were short and instantaneous. It was the perfect counterbalance to DBD.

It was rough last night. Gens were popping really fast. I actually left a game last night and it was the first time in two years of playing that I just left. I’m tired of going against red rank survivors that are actual red rank when I’m a green rank killer.

I agree with @SweetTerror because I’ve been switching to Fall Guys also.

Same experience here as a red rank survivor. I get matched with low levels who are too scared to do a gen or are literally crouching across the map in the corner. 🤦They throw, can't run a killer for more than 5 seconds, and don't try to save. It actually made me derank from 1 - 3 yesterday just because of ######### matchmaking! It's very frustrating. At least it makes me climb again I suppose. 🤷‍♀️ It's not EVERY match, but a LARGE portion of my games are like this. Some nights it's all night and I have to just submit to the DBD matchmaking gods and turn it off. And when you finally do get matched with other reds who are your rank, boy can you tell! I only play solo cue.

Adopting a carefree attitude is imo required when playing DBD. These days I don't care about ranks or pipping, all I care about is having a good time, which sadly can be a rather tall order with this matchmaking system.

Dude, fair enough and also, a great way to approach it. That being said, having an objective is fun for me. It keeps the threshold of play higher and giving myself a bit of a challenge is what I find fun (in addition to trying to get specific builds to work) - the rift also gives me something to achieve.

You are spot on with the matchmaking generally just making things a bit more difficult and unenjoyable. How can you have fun when your team just throws the match or is outmatched and steamrolled. I see it as a waste of time. The matchmaking is the root of the problem. I'd much rather wait a few more minutes and get a lobby of reds than have a short cue time and get a lobby of rainbows. You end up wasting more time with thrown/quick/######### rainbow matches.

I don't think constantly harping/dwelling on the negatives helps all that much. But after you have a ######### night due to bad matchmaking, you just want to vent somewhere where everyone else understands. I hope they iron out the MMR system they were trying.
