Hit validations is off now. is this good?
They announced that they turned off server hit validation. were people really having problems with hits? For me it was good as I got less terrible hits but now that they turned it off I'm afraid to play it again. was this a good thing that they turned it off?

Well, it was announced to be Beta, so it was going to be turned off anyway at some point. They were testing it, gathering data, and then would adjust from there. The next iteration might be the "live" version, or we might get more Beta phases yet.
But if they announce it as a Beta system, don't expect it to stick around permanently.

I play Huntress, and Melee hatchets were literally impossible to hit. You'd get the blood splatter and hit sound, but the survivor wouldn't be injured. This happened, with no exaggeration, on something like 80% of hatchets that were thrown at a survivor within 2 feet of my body. I know they mentioned in the comments on the announcement tweet that it was a known bug, but because of that I'm very happy they're gone.

I didn't even get to test it. Knew something was up when I got hit through every pallet I dropped, even with the killer on the opposite side of it.

I didn't see any difference.
Huntress has the same bs hatchets hits as usual.

Other than the fact I was constantly getting "error 111" for no apparent reason, hit validation was fine. Although I did still go against killers with extremely high ping that got hits on me from too far out, even taking into account latency. When you stun them, run a step and go down... Yeah.

same broken hitboxes with it on. I really think whenever they try to fix it they just make it worse

Devs confirmed on twitter there were some pretty big issues with close-range huntress and plague, and with nurse existing.

I was getting some ridiculous hits as survivor, like I'd be on other side of a car bad.

Survivor hitboxes are probably just solid boxes, let's be honest. The hits and misses sometimes is literally magic

Yep. The hitbox animations devs showed us months before, were total crap.
Hits are massively killer sided on purpose.

Well evidently many people did if she was cited on Twitter as one of the reasons for them sending it back in for more testing
