Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

PS4 - Weapon not swinging when I press trigger

Example

I played as Doctor in public games, and two games in a row my weapon won't swing when intended. I don't mean a little lag or anything (my connection can be slow sometimes and I accept that), it just didn't swing at all when I used the trigger.

Once the chase was over, my weapon started to swing repeatedly, like it was finally catching up to when I was pressing it earlier.

I checked my controller to see if it was working, and it's fine. I have no idea why I couldn't swing. It was working fine earlier in the match, then I couldn't use my weapon at all. I'll attach a clip where I used my weapon fine, then I get to a point where I was literally so close to a survivor I was touching them, and my weapon wouldn't swing, so I couldn't get them.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • The Doctor
  • Perks: Bitter Murmur, Spies from the Shadows, Distressing, Hex: No One Escapes Death
  • Maps: Coldwind Farm and The Macmillan Estate
  • Frequency of the issue: twice today, back to back

DOCUMENTS TO ADD

  • Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLzCmMPkxng
  • At around 0:14 I started to spam the trigger, cause I should've been able to hit the survivor, but nothing happened.
  • At 0:53 my weapon started swinging all on its own, I was not pressing the trigger when my weapon was firing multiple times.
  • I figure this has to be a bug and not just simple lag, as there weren't any connection issues (I know of), also the incredible delay in the swing was just crazy

Thanks a bunch, keep doin awesome!

Very likely an issue on your end. Most likely it is your controller. Is it old or used? You might just need a new controller or need to push down harder on the trigger.
