Vigil should let healthy survivors recover from exhaustion while sprinting. 100% exhaustion recovery speed outside of chase; 50% during chases.

Do you know how OP exhaustion perks used to be??

i run sb vigil and fixated and I have no problem getting it back mid chase. Vigil is fine. It brings a 40 second exhaustion to 32. More than worth the perk slot.

There's a reason Exhaustion was implemented in the first place. If you can recover while running then it might as well not exist.

The main problem of vigil is that he allows to "recover faster" from ExhaustedHaemorrhageMangledHindered and Blindness Status Effects.

But most of these effects have any timer to reduce aka : Blindness in most cases, Mangled, Haemorrhage and dosent affect Exposed or Oblivious either.

Mostly they requires healing or destroying a related hex totem who make this perk BARELY viable as a exhaustion recovery tool since it saves a very limited times (around 8 seconds), ((very situationnal since you mostly ever recover your exhaustion while repairing a generator)). And is dependant to killer addons to affect related negative effects.

    And?

Decisive Strike lets you stab the killer. With what?? If survivors cannot wield weapons then Decisive Strike and Diversion might as well not exist.

It's been pretty pointless since the exhaustion change. I don't think you're rework idea is terrible. Something like "Recover exhaustion while sprinting at 50% of normal speed". So 80 seconds if sprinting for the whole cooldown. No chase should ever last that long anyway.

But it might be good if you accidentally waste sprint burst or dead hard when a teammate pops up and spooks you at a gen or leads the killer to you and your cooldown only has a few seconds left.

Another idea is immunity to status effects like Blindness, Hemorrage, Mangled, etc. Obviously not exposed that would be insane. But most add ons or perks that inflict those effects are locked until you go down or get healed so it could be useful.

Ya know Exhaustion was actually implemented to stop you stacking Sprint Burst, Balanced Landing, and Lithe together right?

It was then changed to further nerf these perks several times.

EDIT: I stand corrected, Exhaustion was added 1.5.0 and Lithe added 1.5.1. Source.

I'd take it as 50% recovery speed outside of chase, 25% during a chase, just to help balance it out a bit.

Okay, then I should say it was changed a long time ago to not let you recover at half speed while running. Bringing it back would allow exhaustion perks to be heavily abused again.

You said that recovering from exhaustion while running is ridiculous and that it should not be a thing because respiration physiology.

I'm saying that if we're not going to allow such idiocracy then Decisive Strike and Diversion should not be a thing either because what weapon?? What rock??

There is no weapon, yet Decisive Strike exists. There is no rock, yet Diversion exists. Pretty sure that recovering from exhaustion while running can also exist (and has before).

That was not at all my argument. I was saying that the devs made it so exhaustion doesn't recover while running for a reason. Not realism, but game balance reasons. Exhaustion perks were heavily abused before this change was made.

Let Vigil show the auras of survivors who are afflicted with Exhaustion, Hemorrhage, Mangled, Hindered, and/or Blindness and let them see your aura too (unless Blinded)
