Invisible Trap Bug
Unfortunately I only ran into it (or over it I suppose) once but I am curious on if anyone knows what the heck this bug actually is. So we were on badham preschool and my friend (who is normally pretty vigalent) gets trapped and says he couldnt see it. I assume he just missed it and I got to save him on the main preschool building. He warns me that there is a trap on the doorway and I check and run through after seeing its not there only for my character to scream and get trapped in a trap that suddenly materialised out of nothing. Later in the game after unhooking my friend he checked the doorway and walked through as a test and low and behold he was trapped. For reference he was running on Ultra and I was running on Lowest so its not anything to do with resolution but its a pretty annoying bug to be sure

Many door has a small step, they dont have any hitbox there. So trap will dig down below the step. Makes it invisible.

Very interesting. Pretty stupid, I assume its been there for ages so it seems weird that its unpatched but I guess there are bigger issues (like getting stuck on that damn hill that still happens)

In some maps there are areas where the traps sink into the ground. You will get the prompt to disarmed it and it does pop up on small game notification.

Im a Trapper main before knowing Otz. Still able to learn alot from him.
Small hitbox allow traps to be placed and well hidden place, many stair is a good example.
They can enlarge the hitbox to make traps show up move obviously. But its equal to survivors are easier to contact with traps' hitbox. Which one do u prefer?

No they just shouldn't be able to sink under the floor in general. It's not that hard to make workarounds to this sort of thing, especially since it was at an area with a minimal bump that's lower than the actual traps are. The trap wasn't hard to see or half concealed, it was literally invisible
