I finally figured out how to punish camping via a perk.
So as the title says i finally figured out how to punish camping. It involves buffing a perk. The perk is kindred. Kindred tells you the killer is camping. What if kindred also increases the gen speeds for survivors while killer is within certain meters of the hook? That way kindred isnt game breaking, and survivors can punish campers. And for killer mains that doesnt camp, this basically becomes a useless perk.
What do you guys think?
Edit 1: it makes it where it disables if another survivor is near the hook in same radius to stop the swf abuse. (Sadly im as bad as a dev and forgot about swf abuse) and the hook has to be on the same floor. How ever i realize this opens up nurse being well nurses. And lets be honest, a good nurse wont camp nor would they need it.

What about looping near a hooked survivor?
What about maps with multiple floors like the game?

Pros and cons for it.
Pros, it will punish camping.
Cons, it will punish forced camping because of teammates going for unsafe unhooks/looping while the killer is there and since the survivor is there it won't be fair.
Pros for survivors, it will help you leave faster and that way you won't die on first hook.
Cons I believe it is only good for those who are not being camped.

Gens are already to fast they dont need to be quicker. Killers get punished enough for camping anyway

Yes but ds exists and it counters tunneling. So does bt.

Gens are fast. And camping doesnt really punish a killer, they can still get a 2 or 3k with noed or 4k with noed and blood warden. I would know. Ive done it a few times.

Don't forget about all trapper and hag mains, who need to place the traps around.
Not to mention it would be still possible to camp with the huntress or deathslinger.
Also, i don't think that the kindred should get this buff, its already an amazing perk for solo que.

Well then, i will just camp from 9m, and come closer only when someone comes to unhook.
Literally no penalty... not to mention that 30 seconds is already half of a stage.

I would agree it the other side of the equation was modified equally. If the killer runs ruin, and hooks a player, and all other players stay on their gens while the killer is away from the hook, the speed in which the entity sacrifice the hooked survivor is increased. That would handle genrushing, so it seems like a fair tradeoff to me.

They should rework camaraderie so when the killer is within 20 meters of you while in the struggle phase everyone gains like a 10% boost to action speed and the hook timer will pause.

DS does not counter tunneling its an anti mommentum perk. If DS was only there to counter tunneling the second the guy with an active DS would jump on a gen or do any action that progress the game the timer would run out immediatly

Well then you just disable the gen speed buff when your in a chase and close to the hooked survivor. Problem Solved

The funniest thing the devs ever said. I'd like to see themselves play as Survivors in their own game, getting camped to death each game.

I see them pretty regularly getting camped and tunneled to death with no DS.

I don't see the need for a buff to gen speed. If the killer is camping, Kindred already shows it to survivors so they can choose to fix instead of going for the save.
