Certain perks that should be free

Just saying up first I already have these perks, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the only confused about these got released in chapters instead of being free.

In my eyes, free perks should be the ones that hold the player's hand and guide him until he understands that concept of the game, then he can go off without them. Or they can be perks that are really easy to understand, like sloppy. Either way the below perks really shouldn't have been paid in my opinion

Zanshin Tactics: You see pallets and windows, as killer.

This can help newbie players predict where a survivor is running to, but I guarantee you no player with more than 50 hours would honestly buy oni just for this. Just make it free

Windows of Oppurtunity: You see pallets and windows, as survivor.

The more you run this perk as survivor the more you begin to have a general understanding of tiles, it's a really good practice perk and I even know a few vets who still use it, but the fact remains once you understand them you won't be needing this perk anymore.

Visionary: You see gens, as survivor

Again, this is a thing a lot of new players struggle with, and if you don't find a gen you're doing nothing, and we all know doing nothing is the worst thing you can do as survivor.

Make it free and you'll notice it being ran a LOT from yellow up to even purple ranks.

Technician: It's a gen that helps with skill checks, something that newer players can struggle with for like the first 10 hours of the match, or people with generally bad FPS. I don't see it "upping your game" in any way.

I'm All Ears: I understand this might also be used at high level gameplay, but it's gonna be with specific killers or builds. This perk would generally be very helpful for newer players in loops and I'd love to see you consider it become free.

Tell me if you have any other perks in mind or if you disagree with any of the perks mentioned above

Fixated, because it teaches survivors how scratchmarks work

BBQ + Chili because it reduces the grind for killers, and also teaches them how to find survivors after hooking rather than camping.

Yes, I totally agree. I hate it when they put beginner perks behind DLC characters. Does BHVR expect new players to buy a DLC character and level them up right off the bat? I don't think I bought anyone until ~60 hours in. If BHVR is gonna continue to make very simple perks that are for beginners, they should at least add secondary effects so they get used at higher ranks. For example, maybe add another effect to Visionary that makes skill checks more frequent but also easier. New players would run the perk to practice skill checks and see gens, and experienced players would run the perk to be able to hit great skill checks more often.

I would like if there were a training mode where you could practice with any perks you want, sort of like an extended tutorial, maybe vs bots, just to get a feel for basic gameplay.

Visionary isn't even that good tbh. Déjà vu exists.

Neither are good perks. But if we're going to compare the two then Visionary is the better choice. It at least works the entire game.

That's exactly what they're hoping for. Most Vets will buy a DLC simply for the "collect 'em all" mentality, whereas new players will likely hold off for a while.

It's obvious the model is at least partially designed around the new player wanting those perks as they learn what each does for them, so they shell out the money. And since they need to level them up for the teachables, and then get the teachables to appear in other bloodwebs, and likely aren't generating the BP like Vets do, it potentially keeps them playing more and longer.

Visionary may work the entire game, but déjà vu works when it needs to, and still lasts a total of around 12mins per match. That's longer than your average game lol. It also helps avoid 3gens.
