No new killer buffs in mid patch?
I don't know if i'm the only one who's bothered by this, but i noticed that there wasn't any killer buffs in this patch; only perks, hook changes and such; i'm disappointed because i thought we where suppose to get a buff to freddy in this patch; but i guess not?

I wasn't expecting a Freddy buff this mid chapter. The devs had already mentioned before that they need more time for it. As far buffs for the killers are concerned, the healing time nerf is a buff for all the anti-heal killer perks. Thanatophobia, Dying Light, Coulrophobia, Sloppy Butcher are all insanely buffed now. It'll take upto 120 seconds to self care, if all these perks are used.2

They might not even have to do all that much considering how much theyre improving alaround gameplay like adjusting building and windows. maps are getting better for killer and vaults are changing too. to me that's a big thing and I don't know why people aren't talking about that.

Btw, I would like a buff for coulrophobia. Make it's effect map wide like thanatophobia. Which also needs a buff on its percentage.6 -
I can't believe theres no Freaggae rastaman skin. Sadface2

No survivor with 2 working brain cells will self heal in the terror radius of the killer. So coulrophobia would never apply.
To be fair. It's a very theoretical scenario. And kinda a form of overkill to use all of those perks at once. It only shows how it makes these perks stronger.
And you are right Coulrophobia is very situational perk. But even if it makes survivors stop healing and reposition themselves, it still delays the heal a bit. And besides it useful in certain slugging/heal scenario, when they ned to finish a heal before you approach.1 -
Just a lil buff, but hook animation is faster/shorter now, means saves a bit more time for killer if it's even noticeable at all.

Edit : I misread the title of the update post, please disregard what I said here.
This doesn't look like the mid-chapter patch, I think this is just the PTB for the event they put up that appears as something that will occur on the 19th of this month. It's way too soon for this to be the mid-chapter patch which would actually contain the rest of the changes I would imagine. Basically this looks like an update with changes they finished early with the event content being readily available when the update rolls out from what I can tell. I could be wrong as I have no way of verifying this but it's just simply too soon for this to be the mid chapter patch as we are supposed to get major updates roughly every 6 weeks and it's only been a little more than 2 weeks since shattered bloodlines got released.

The healing speed nerf is really, really impactful.
I played against some sloppy butcher killers in the ptb and i can tell you, that selfcaring is NOT worth it anymore. Its really a dilemma as survivor, beceause you will lose if you heal yourself for 40s (thats literally half a gen), but doing gens injured is super risky and throwable.1 -
She was buffed in 2.2.1

Only took them 2 years to figure out how to slow the game down.0 -

If a killer is using 2 to 4 perks all centered around making healing difficult… guess what?
Healing should be difficult!!
Because he lost all his tools to pressure the gens, help in a chase, delay gens or help finding survivor.1 -

Only took them 2 years to figure out how to slow the game down. Not sure wether thats the right approach though. I believe this will further divide 0k and 4k games. As snowballing is unstoppable now with 40s selfcare times, but genrush is still the same. Slowing down both sides main objective (gens vs kills) would be better imo. BUT im glad something has been done

Because he lost all his tools to pressure the gens, help in a chase, delay gens or help finding survivor. The point is that killers are using different builds and doing well with said different builds and by that logic survivors shouldn't have to run 2-4 perk slots to counter killers etc.

At least hitting someone means something even if you lose them.
Survivor tanked hits for each other way to easy.0 -

Yes, killer can run different builds to affect specific mechanics of the game, but survivor can run their beloved meta perks all day and don't have to think about "different builds".

First, let me just say that the thread title is patently wrong.

Indeed, Killers should have builds designed to counter one or more aspects of the Survivors' gameplay, and those builds should take up multiple perk slots. Builds are, after all, an "all-in" type thing. You can either be a jack-of-all-trades and be average at countering any one thing, or you can dive into countering one thing and that one thing will be nigh-impossible for the Survivors to do.
However, since this is an asymmetrical game, it should take more perk slots from each individual Survivor to counter any one Killer than it does for each Killer to counter any one aspect of the Survivors' gameplay.0 -

Literally all i see happening is survivors in the future upset about killers "tunneling the injured survivor".
Will be fun to run thana and sloppy though. That will probably be the slow progress meta now, which weneed because more and more ruin is becoming a big joke, everyone plows through now.

I was originally going to edit my comment to correct myself, mistakes happen and so I misread the title so that's my bad there.
