Who's Your Favorite Killer to Play?
Who's your favorite killer to play?
Not necessarily because they're viable at high ranks or can get the 4k or can stop the loop. Just who is the most fun for you, or the one that just appeals to you the most due to lore, cosmetics, or whatever?
Obviously, mine is Myers. I've loved the character since I saw the original film in 1978 as a kid. I also love his add-ons and how they can completely change how he's played and what tactics need to be used.

Right now Myers is the most fun for me in terms of gameplay immersion, being able to physically see survivors jump scare is a blast. That being said I hate his tombstone builds, they're super unfun to play against so i dont feel i can enjoy playing them.

I also own F13: The Game purely for the Jason thrills, be it as him or a counselor.
I'm sure he'll be in DbD one day. I'm curious now how the lawsuit is affecting things because the officially licensed Friday the 13th: Horror at Camp Crystal Lake board game just released. But I've no doubt that BHVR will eventually have the Holy Trinity of Slashers: Myers, Voorhees, Krueger.

Hag and Trapper, love the set up killers.
Although I mained bubba to get BBQ first and always have a soft spot for him especially with the rework.

Right? It's a good thing I don't worry about my rank, because then I might not main Myers as much. But damn, I just love playing him, especially when "The Chase" music hits from the soundtrack.
Honestly, as far as capturing the essence of a licensed character, I think Myers was their pinnacle so far.

I love hunting killers the most.
So i would say either Wraith or Spirit. But i have a place in my heart for Demo as well <3

I think at the moment my favorite is Clown. He’s not the best killer overall but he’s maybe the best killer in a chase that moves 115% speed. (The slower moving killers Spirit, Nurse and Huntress are probably better than him, I think Clown is on par with Deathslinger though.) And that’s great because chases are the most fun part of the game. 🙂
A close second is Doctor. With his tracking he’s always in a chase the entire game. I don’t quite like his shock as much as Clown’s gas but just always finding stealthy survivors is a big plus. Not to mention his Madness effects are kind of cool. (Doctor is also maybe my best character? Hard to tell.)

Exactly! Especially with the HACCL game... and NECA jus released new figures during the whole F13 ownership spiel, and a new Jason they created from pt.VII arrives this December. If Behaviour could find a similar way to License Jason w/o violating the copyright, it’d be a relief. Some ppl don’t want JV since devs generic attempt at him that is Trapper is a thing.
I believe devs will make JVoorhees so completely all around appealing that ppl will totally main him over Trapper.
Regardless, we would still have F13 movies being cranked out and more awesome content for F13: The Game if it wasn’t for Victor Miller disrupting everything.
I hope Cunningham wins so everything can go back to normal. There’s concern that DBD won’t get JV as more & more time passes.
I have hope that we’ll get to stalk the Entity’s Crystal Lake realm with him sooner than later. His trio of slasher bros miss him!

Also, if they ever bring in Baby Shark as a licensed killer, I'd main them in a second. The psychological trauma they would inflict on people who have little kids would be ASTOUNDING.

Legion, doctor, wraith, and ghostface.
I'm a person that loves to control everything. So legion and doctor are perfect for that, they have quite good map control, because they always know where people are.
Also, I love stealth killers, and wraith and ghostface are also so fun to me.

Wait. Who's your main in Overwatch? I've been screwed by the D.Va Defence Matrix nerfs and Orisa was almost unplayable after their latest adjustments. Still love Junkrat though. Most insane plays I've ever made.

I have triple-digit hours on Junkrat and Lucio.
But right now my mains are . . .
Damage: Soldier 76, Ashe
Support: Zenyatta, Lucio (Moira is my back-up)
Tank: Zarya, Winston (Rein is my back-up)
I did main D.Va. Got screwed. Mained Orisa, got screwed. Mained Sigma, got screwed. Mained Soldier 76 (still do, but he's been left behind there like my Myers has here). Mained Mercy (Blizzard can kindly F* off, now).
Although I could flex to any role, I preferred Support and Tank. You know, the two roles Blizzard bends over and pelvic thrusts the most. Billy and Nurse mains got nothing on the screw jobs Tanks and Supports take over there. 🤣

I like playing as Trapper. There is some grim satisfaction when someone steps in a well placed trap. Besides him I like using the jump scare killers.

They want to make tank "more appealing" but are also like f*ck barriers! That said though, as Orisa I could hold off an entire team with my Mercy main playing healer next to me.
But yeah, you know how Mercy got treated? Kinda relatable as a Pig main. Not quite that bad, but getting there.

Kaplan also said that with OW2 he wants to take Overwatch less "moba" and more "FPS."
The issue I have is that the "Moba" elements sold the game for a lot of folks. The market is flooded with FPS with powers. I could go play Apex Legends or Valorant or Hyper Scape or Rogue Company, or even several other options.
The core issue is, he stated that he considers Hog to be the benchmark for where he would like tanks to go. So . . . DPS with inflated HP pools?
What is the development vision for Overwatch anymore? Ironically, it's the same question we're now asking of DbD, too.

I do enjoy Legion. Still struggling with Ghostface and haven't put any levels into Spirit. To be honest, I'm a bit leery of putting BP into her when my gut says BHVR is probably going to nerf her hard as hell in 2021.

I enjoy Trapper. When I'm playing seriously I'll sit down with him and pop on an ultra rare and a bag. Deathslinger is up there too. Some days you just wanna shoot survivors and he does what it says on the tin.
Really though there's little more satisfying in this game than chasing a survivor into an area you've trapped all to hell and you know they're dead and haven't realized it yet.

He's making the same mistake EverQuest did with EverQuest 2. No matter what he does he's gonna split the playerbase and neither game is going to come out better for it. If he wants to make a fps make a new IP or regret it.

No doubt. If he goes in the direction he's mentioned, I think that once the PvE aspects of OW2 wears off, it's going to be dark times for the I.P.

When she works, doesn't get robbed hits, and actually has a game of more than 8 minutes, Plague. I like her power, her adaptability, her skill ceiling, her perk synergies, her add-ons, even her cosmetics.
But she gets robbed too much. I cannot handle getting a perfect, scream-filled shot on someone only for nothing to happen. I don't care how casual the game is, if I toss a god-damned Holy Hand Grenade into a cluster of worms I expect it to blow up a few worms, not make a bang sound and sit there grinning like an idiot.

Yeah, I was playing Plague for a while recently and dropped her because of that. Oni, too. I've gotten the bug where I can't Demon Dash/Strike a few times. It was enough to dump him.
Have yet to get the Myers or GF stalking bug yet, though.

I don't think that DbD is anywhere near the point of Overwatch yet, but it can get there very quickly.

Overwatch also has a different sword over its head: the Overwatch League. You have investors paying 20 million to 60 million a slot, and the League not generating even the low-end return they were sold on. Plus, it's the brainchild of Robert Kotich, the CEO of Activision-Blizzard, and he was personally involved in recruiting investors like Robert Kraft in the beginning. So, Kaplan and team very likely also have to make sure Overwatch is fun to watch for the viewers.
Notice that the DPS nerfs on the most recent Experimental Card didn't happen until the season was over? Wanna bet they get buffs in time for the 2021 season? DPS equals flashy, entertaining plays for viewers.

That's kinda hard.
Ghostface can be really fun, but is also relatively weak and can be bullied pretty hard.
Demo can be super fun. Screaming and leaping everywhere.
Pyramid Head can really punish survivors and deny them a few of their perks.
I would say Ghostface is the most fun I've had in the game.

I agree. I know that game left, right, up, and down, and have hours in that game comparable to many of you Vets here in DbD, and it is abysmal to watch.
DbD's main issue, as far as I'm concerned, is that it desperately needs a larger balance team. There are way too many perks in the game now, with an average of 24 new perks every year. Since this is a perk driven system, far too many perks have been left to rot when they need to be tweaked to be more viable. We should not be stuck with the same Perk Meta for so long.

Overwatch has been stale for awhile bur with the few newest patches has changed alot
And DBD has ben stale since Plague came out (IMO)
BTW I've been a tank main for 7 seasons And a backup Tracer/Mei

And I love Wraith. Haven't been able to get Trapper to work for me, but I'm lousy with both him and Hag. I own Pyramid Head, but haven't put time into him yet.
Yeah, I've been testing GF the past few days and playing nothing but, and for me I'll take Myers over him so far. I actually get bullied a lot less as Myers than GF. I suppose it's because they don't know what form my Tier 3 might take thanks to add-ons, and tend to respect him more.
I saw your thread about that rotating body-blocking match. Yikes. As Myers, it would have been T3 EW and done.

Agree, especially with the part about the two games being on parallel lines. I like Pig. I should probably get back into her. Might take Doc out of my line-up and use her for a while.

Demogorgon & Oni because they’re tanks and actually make me feel big and scary. Pig is another favorite because I always have chill matches as her. Lastly, Deathslinger just cause I destroy with him. :)
