Bloodpoint cap not working for me?

So i had stopped playing the game for a while and a few weeks ago i signed in and saw that i had 1.7mil bloodpoints. i was pretty certain i didnt have that many when i stopped playing but then thought maybe it was a bug. after playing a few matches i saw the counter was still increasing and would decrease when i bought stuff in the bloodwebs. now with the 250k bp for signing in and the 150k for the code in the store im up to 2.2 million.

This is happening on Xbox one.

I have no idea how this happened so i cant really say how to reproduce the steps.

    Bonus bloodpoints do not count towards the bloodpoints cap. If you are at 1,000,000 bloodpoints and you get bonus bloodpoints from a code or an event it surpasses the cap. The game spends the bonus bloodpoints first and when all of them are spent you cannot go past the cap anymore.

    I know they gave bloodpoints during the anniversary event so maybe you collected those but didn't spend them. Once you go below 1,000,000 the issue should sort itself.
