The blight is still the same?
Chapter 17's trailer got released a few hours ago and i didn't see any changes to Blight or his perks.
He is still as bad as he was on ptb? Or do you think he got a smaller hitbox or some power tweaks?
I want to buy this dlc, but blight felt so bad on the ptb that i think i will just skip this chapter.

One of the devs said that they have a tweaked, better version of Blight, they just did not release it in the PTB. God knows why.

Apparently the PTB blight is an outdated version and a similar version will be released live.
I didn't see any changes to him on the video, we'll just have to see,

Seems his power is still 'Pinball and Smash' so hopefully they at least tweaked the hitbox to be less clunky when touching thin air. But, I guess we'll have to wait and see just how good (Or bad) he is in the live game.

The dev who was streaming his blight gameplay said that the PTB version was NOT the more "smoothed out" and tweaked version he had finished implementing and wanted to discontinue his stream because running into doorways and other objects was "not accurate and bothering him". I would assume that just meant they smoothed out the gameplay like Ghostface PTB getting revealed constantly and instantly vs what was actually released and being playable.

They likely tweaked the numbers and hitboxes. The chapter spot light seems to be for the more casual side of the fan base that might not even be aware of the chapter.

The chapter spotlight is created months in advance when finalised numbers haven't been decided on yet, hence why none were given. His concept will remain the same, yes, but numbers will be tweaked and bugs fixed.

Yeah gotta say I was not impressed to see the janky awkward 1 second stun on bounces that guarantees survivors enough time to get around basically any corner is still there, nor that Undying still reveals auras, that #########'s waaaay too strong.

at least have ubdying affect lit totems otherside makes innterupt totem cleanses easier

it has been confirmed that the releasing Blight is going to be a much more polished version of what we saw on the PTB.
we dont know what exactly it was, but there were said to be certain Bugfixes that went into the character.
i guess he is going to play a lot smoother now, no longer bumping into random objects you couldnt even see on your screen properly.

i don't think this one was created months in advance as the blight had actual sounds while the ptb version did not. but they could have edited them in so idk

Yeah, I get the feeling that McLean was like "holy crap, I actually programmed this? Better tell them that this is outdated so they will buy it."
Why release something in the test build that's not even a current iteration? Any feedback they got would have been worthless.

Because that version can have game crashing bugs that they're aware of and need to be fixed. Or it's just not stable enough. Would you rather them release a broken mess and have everyone report on the same bug they found after 3 games of testing themselves or release an older version which is more stable and find bugs in that which they couldn't because it only happens in every 600 games.

But when you fix the bugs on the new version, more might appear. Better to delay the ptb by a week and get a stable, current version for people to test.

The spotlight trailer didn't even show any numbers, so I don't get what you mean with "i didn't see any changes". I think PTB to live never had changes that are a complete overhaul of the current version, the spotlight trailer can't show you at all what will change to live version.

I think with the hitbox change he'll be a solid mid-high tier killer. He looks like a lot of work for his hits but he looks fun. I'm excited.
