Hatch complaining.
So I love how people complain about hatch. Its a mechanic with a good use. "It rewards bad survivors." Ok so what if there is a 3 man swf who dc and one solo? Oh so you dont care about that person? And they gotta care about you. Hypocrisy. If it comes down to a hatch game, chances are you have enough points, deal with it. I love how just because a game goes in your favor you NEED that 4k.
You move faster so you have a higher chance of finding it. And you have hatch priority so that's a added bonus. And lets not forget if two survs are left and the hatch spawns just find it chances are they arent gonna rush that gen with 2 people. You complain for not getting the max points you can when hatch games usually result in 10k less points for surv than you and if you think survs are entitled because they don't want tunnelers And campers imagine wanting a 4k no matter what happens.
You have a choice to find it and when they get it you complain. Ik this isnt everyone but seriously everyone who does complain wants 4k that's selfish all they care about is their game and not the others. So keep in mind its a mechanic for a reason and has been balanced to soothe killers feelings. And most of the time you don't escape through the hatch, not everyone is monto and they say oh the doors spawn soooo far away. Then why do the doors always spawn 40 meters from each other when im the last one left?! If the doors are so survivor sided why is it so easy to kill the last person when the hatch is closed?!

I want a mechanic like that for the killer side as well. To give the killer one last chance to kill someone.
14 -
They do its called camping and door patrolling albeit it doesn't seem as good as hatch but hatch is a 50 50 kind of like camping but idk
3 -
Hatch ends the Match!
I have no complaints about it. ๐
3 -
Door patrolling can be played around and camping loses blood points. That is also part of the standard match, not a last ditch effort.

While I have seen the occasional commentaries on the Hatch, I haven't seen an endless wave of screeds and complaints about them. Mostly I see people trying to use the hatch as sort of a rhetorical trick, like bargaining, to try and get rid of the Mori. The two things are always kind of lumped together, a weird whataboutism. I don't care about the hatch; I repeat, I don't complain about the hatch. More power to the Survivors who manage to get away however they manage it.
I would make the same fun and sarcastic remarks about people whining and whinging about the Hatch as I would people crying about NOED. I just don't see it come up that often. Or perhaps I'm mired in all the idiotic "toxic" threads that I'm overlooking these other rants? Who knows. The Hatch is fine. The Mori is fine. The Perks are fine. Camping, tunneling, slugging, and body blocking are fine. I'm starting to think that some people enjoy complaining about games more than actually playing them.

The pitty win shouldn't be detrimental to the killer. As it is, someone getting the hatch at red ranks can be the difference between a pip or a "tie"
15 -
Meh, I just had a Tapp DC so Meg could get hatch when I was about to get a 4-man Devour

the hatch is exactly as rewarding for the one survivor who finds it, assuming no key, as noed. yet noed takes a whole perk slot and has the chance of being completely negated. The hatch is in the game for one reason and one reason only, because the game was going to die if it kept letting that one try hard survivor extending games out forever. so those survivors were rewarded with a coin flip get out of jail free card, that costs no perk slot.
3 -
That isn't a problem with the Hatch; that is a problem with the SWF 5th Perk (Comms) wherein they had to both KNOW that the other knew where the Hatch was, time it appropriately, and so on.
1 -
A DC should force it to open like a sacrifice. It shouldn't immediately open imo
1 -
Hatch isnt last ditch it was implemented because survs and killers are toxic enough to make the other suffer by holding the game hostage forcing dc.
1 -
True that and don't worry I think noed is fine but should use changes to make it work more efficiently but also fairly all the changes I want are ones that can be balanced contrary to what people may think
0 -
Then why did you say camping and door patrolling was the same thing? Those don't take the game hostage.
3 -
And getting tunneled and farmed can as well or the doors spawning close together no matter what the ranks arent a big deal one bad match doesnt mean the rest will be
0 -
It isn't free you know how easy it is to secure hatch? I barely have people escape without a key or me not giving a crap if it was a get Out of jail free card I shouldnt have been able to ha e the hatch closed on me when I stood on it
3 -
I said they werent the same. Please read next time.
0 -
It absolutely is free.... did you run a perk to have the hatch spawn? No its just something that, originally was intended to stop survivors from holding the game hostage, but now has devolved to the second to last survivor sitting on waiting for his teammate to die. People love saying that noed is a crutch but at least it costs a perk slot.
6 -
But you did, I said I wanted a mechanic similar to that for killers and you said "They do its called camping and door patrolling albeit it doesn't seem as good as hatch but hatch is a 50 50 kind of like camping but idk". And are the insults necessary? Its just a question mate.
3 -
Hatch is so easy to avoid
0 -
Still completely free that rewards a bad survivor at no cost of a perk slot
4 -
What insults? Second that actually implies that it isnt as good as hatch meaning they are NOT the same. And I also said idk. Only because each one although is a 50/50 have easy counters and can be avoided or not avoided
0 -
And there you go. I'm not a bad survivor but I've escaped through hatch. It rewards whoever finds it first and if the killer knows where it is, GAME OVER. How long does it take to wiggle out of grasp? In that time the killer can bring the body closer to hatch. People dont use their brain properly when talking about hatch. I cant blame them because not everyone has a brain that can think of multiple outcomes so im not gonna insult them. But you have to think how easy it is to counter. Gens are harder to deal with and yet that is not a get out of jail free card? Survs can make multiple mistakes and gens stay there.

"Please read next time" Isn't supposed to be an insult? If not I need to revaluate the people here. And when you mention 2 things in response to my comment giving me answers that are supposed to be the same thing I'm gonna see them as actual answers, if you didn't think they were actual worthwhile answers why bring them up at all?
1 -
They are comparable and although not the same can be used the same way so I hope you can understand that. Also I was not trying to insult you but more imply that you did not understand what you read properly. Critisicm isnt an insult necessarily. But na reevaluation might be good
0 -
Again its completely free.... you don't have to bring anything to benefit from the hatch. Killer has a great game hooking everybody and loses a kill because the survivor found the hatch they did nothing to earn? Again if noed is a crutch that bad killers use at the cost of a perk slot, the hatch escape is equivalent or worse. Its also not game over if the killer finds it because the survivor can still escape from the exit gate.
2 -
Thats fair, but that was nowhere near what I was referring to. And just so you know, "Please read next time" is almost always used as a way to insult someones reading ability.
2 -
So if onr survivor is left for any reason they don't deserve to escape or have points? But killers do. That is bias and bias has no place in a logical argument of 2 mature people. So if you refuse to actually take circumstances in and then argue around it I want to ask you to stop replying. I am tired of arguing with people who just arent good at it.
0 -
Well regardless of how others use it, I can use it in my own way. If I seen your gameplay and I said it was bad am I insulting you just because others say that?
0 -
Just because you cant refute an argument doesn't make it not good. Why should 1 survivor be "rewarded" with a free escape they didn't earn? If a killer has sacrificed 3 survivors with multiple gens why should 1 survivor be gifted a win. Would you be OK with a button that the killer can find if the exit gates are powered that instantly killed one survivor? Should not the killer get at least one kill since they came to the game?
3 -
The difference is nobodys said my gameplay was bad as a way to insult me, hell no ones insulted my gameplay period lol. Its like saying "Taking candy from a baby" in a context that doesn't mean easy, sure you can say it but don't get surprised when people think your calling something easy.
2 -
You know what i mean man. Now it feels like you're arguing just to argue. As I said I did not insult you or even mean to.
0 -
I understand that, I was attempting to keep things humorous so this wouldn't be an argument. I'm not trying to argue with you, I'm just telling you the way that expression sounds.
1 -
Frankly killers should ALWAYS get one kill. But not guaranteed. Hatch is NOT guaranteed. Frankly you are too ignorant to see my correct rebuttals. Hatch doesnt guarantee anything meaning it isnt unfair nor sided to one side and if you try and say that then hatch is actually killer sided. And if a team sucks they dont deserve escape but the killer shouldnt get a free kill. They need to earn it. Earning 3 doesnt mean you earned 4. If you get screwed over by hatch thats different but usually you don't see many dc to hatch. You see a person escape because they found it first. If the survivors LET you kill them you don't deserve any of those kills and you DON'T deserve the last one. And this is what I mean by circumstances. You REFUSE to think like me so you can't look past a one sided argument you dont know how to do anything but use 1 scenario that makes it worse than reality. As I said you are BIASED.
1 -
Ahh humor is often misconstrued in text, I believe the forum supports emojis? And also I appreciate you actually knowing how to argue unlike someone else who keeps replying without thinking of the other persons explanation. So thank you and have a nice night
1 -
Sorry mate, I use computers so I'm not sure I can use em. Thank you for trying to be friendly, its a nice change of pace. Have a nice night and maybe I'll see you around.
1 -
I have never seen Hatch compared to NOED before. Thanks for the laugh!
0 -
Lol OK. Small minds. Hatch is a gift for survivors, at best for killers its more blood points and a lame stop gap from survivors holding the game hostage. You do you i understand entitlement is a prevailing characteristic in society these days.
1 -
How is it different? Besides the hatch happens for any survivor at the cost of no perk slot. If running a perk can be considered a crutch surely escaping through hatch when you brought nothing and did nothing besides finding it first is a crutch
1 -
Maybe we can get a match and I can call you bad ๐ did you see the emoji?
1 -
Look I understand why you feel that way and hatch could use balancing. But all thr complaining isnt as warranted as people think.
0 -
Ahh sorry mate my PCs stuck in my house and I'm across the country, I'm also afraid you'll be wayy better than me ย ๐ย ๐ย ๐. ย I can see the emoji, and now I can copy it to my ctrl c . I'm keeping this one.
0 -
Even you get the hatch first they still can get their free escape.
And killer actually really need that 4 kill (hit and down and find and hook point )to get pip.
So don't cry about why killer want 4 kills
"BuT wHaT aBoUt My TeAmMaTe SuCk?"
Then your team should lose.
You should blame about your teamnate not punish the killer by not letting he get pip.
And survivors need not to escape to get a pip,so even if you get kill by your bad team you still can pip if you play well.
So you can rank up to escape your bad teammate by rank system.
1 -
Good job thats smart I didnt even kbiw about that but then again my pc is old and in storage and I mean 2000 old. And why would you say that?
1 -
It's no different than the survivor who unhooks everyone, completes a majority of generators, and never gets downed losing because the doors spawned within sight of each other.
0 -
I suck at games lol, I've been playing casually since launch and I haven't gotten higher than rank 6ย ๐ย . I play on and off way too much. Hopefully I get there eventually, I came shockingly close these past 2 months.
0 -
Ive been to rank 1 as killer and that's false. Second its not about the team its no one is entitled a win and its toxic to make arguments based soley on entitlement and no killers have hatch priority. All they need to do is stand close enough to get the shut prompt and they can close it. If they stand ON it the surv can NOT escape.
0 -
So just a whole different scenario? You questioned how noed, a perk that can be countered, could be compared to a hatch that spawns irregardless of a perk. Yes rng can be a #########. However it doesn't negate the fact that the hatch is a built in "noed" for survivors that they didn't use a perk slot to take advantage of. By noed I mean a crutch that gives a "win" to someone who didn't earn it.
1 -
I am not very sure what are you talking about.
Are you suggesting me to do a hatch stand?
0 -
Oh you were talking bout doors. Yeah doors are unfair to both sides. But it takes skill to do it with a surv properly some doors are so close that you can get it to 80 and the killer reaches you so you have to start progressing it hide and then finish it. Either way doors should be balanced in a way that survs have to be on that door as soon as possible to escaoe before they get found and make it where the killer gets punished for taking too much time. Which would require door distance updates. Free escapes are bad

If you played that long you are probably better
