Spirit and Nurse are how all killers should be

In a 4 V 1, the killer should be at a heavy advantage vs survivors in a chase. This is for the obvious reason that there are 3 other people to worry about and only so much time to catch the survivors

People hate Spirit and Nurse because these are the few killers who actually have an advantage in the chase, so survivor mains don't like the feeling of having to guess.

Killers like Pig and Myers should NOT be the norm. There are plenty of times when, if the map spawns some good pallets and structures, it is literally impossible for M1 killers to catch anyone because survivors dictate the chase and can choose to play it safe and get away with it.

TLDR: Killer is the power role and should be at an advantage in the 1 V 1.

In your ideal scenario where every killer is as strong as Spirit or Nurse, could I pose a question to you?

What do you think the actual point of things like Pallets and windows would be? If every killer can simply ignore them 80% of the time, what's their purpose?

Pallets and windows are still very strong against Spirit. Even with stridor, she has to guess which side you will be on. Against Nurse, your best friend is structures and LOS breakers, which force her to have to make wild guesses.

BTW, I'm not saying all killers should literally have their power, but other killers should have ways to make running/looping less effective.

Windows I agree can be strong against Spirit in certain tiles, however pallets against Nurse and Spirit are almost completely useless I think.

Nurse, for obvious reasons - she can ignore them completely

Against a spirit, playing a pallet isn't worth it if you're injured I think - she has too much information to know what you're doing (Especially if Stridor is in play)

I get what you're saying though, I think Pyramid Head/Freddy is about as strong as any killer needs to be but I don't have problems with Spirit or Nurse's powers existing.

It's definitely not; I have a good headset and can't hear that. Even if you could, she has to use phase to go around the structure, which will usually deplete it and give the survivor a chance to create distance.

Pig can make some loops pretty tough. You just have to know how to use her. Though she could use a slight buff to her dash attack I think.

    I agree to some degree.

Killers should have a very high/near 100% chance to catch the survivor they decide to chase at this moment as there's 4 of them and all 5 gens can get repaired in as little as 3 minutes (as seen in an Otz match I posted).

However if survivors have no realistic chance to get a long chase using their mechanics (pallets/windows) their gameplay quality drops to 0% in the long run as chases are the fun part about survivor gameplay.

I doubt anyone clicks on "play as survivor" thinking "oh boy I can't wait to repair some gens!" (although gens get pushed quickly sometimes making it seem like some people really just want to hold the repair key/button).

Long story short: Providing both sides a satisfying gameplay experience is a difficult task but for now I agree killers should generally be able to quickly catch survivors until the game receives further changes.

If we ever get the Early Game Warmup thing the devs were talking about then I think the game can be designed around long chases as well allowing both sides to have fun and more time to do things in a match.

she can stand still and fake her power. if the survivor stays, use power and hit them, if they run away, use power to catch up and hit them

trying to use the "guessing" argument in Spirit's favor is a new one, I'll give you that

The counter to that is to start walking away from the pallet or vault. If she stays still, she is phasing and you can go back to the structure, run at her, or run in a different direction, otherwise you will bait her to move, and you are still close enough to structure to loop her.

Spoken like someone who has no idea how to play Spirit at the high ranks.
