Question about overcharge
If they to tap an overcharged gen, will it explode if they release M1 BEFORE reaching the skillcheck?
Will it stop regressing if they just tap it without reaching the skillcheck?
Or do you have to actually hit the skillcheck, in order for the gen to stop regressing?

It will explode if they just tap it. But the regression stops after the overcharge effect kicked in.

Unfortunatelly it will stop regressing no matter if skillcheck is failed or not. Survivor may tap gen to get skillcheck while running away.

You can tap it and the skill check continues that you still have to hit. It's difficult but you can successfully tap an overcharged gen in chase, not blow up the gen, and not take a hit.

I don’t know what the others are talking about.
If they tap the gen, the Overcharge skill check will pop up, even if the survivor is immediately running away. They have to succeed the skill check in order to not blow the gen, and stop the generator from regressing further (normal regression after the initial instant 15% regression for failing Overcharge).
So if the skill check is failed it’s an instant 15% regression. The gen will continue to regress as normal afterward unless the gen is tapped again, or worked on.

Well today I had games where they tapped the gen in chase, and they stopped the regression. Idk if they hit the skillcheck or not.

They had to have successfully succeeded the skillcheck mid chase then everytime.
This has been a long running complaint about the perk. It needs to be changed so that they can’t just tap and do the skillcheck while running.

I'm pretty sure it stops regressing even if skillcheck is failed. I should check it later.

If you tap, regression goes off. But you need to do skill check even when you are running. Shouldn't matter whether you miss or not.

Ow, wait, sorry, yes you’re right. The killer would need to kick it again. My mistake.

Go that's a nonsense. The only purpose of overcharge is that survivors can't simply tap the gen mid chase and get away with it, while you have to do a long ass animation to stop the gen.
If that's the case I think I'm not running again Overcharge, what a mess.
