What if mories worked as PHeads cages
Not suggesting, so I'm posting in general.
Basically do the following with mori offerings:
- Allow killer to kill any survivor downed (ebony) Allow killer to kill every survivor in the trial once (bone)
- Killed survivors ressurect on the opposite side of the map from the killer
- When survivor is killed they progress 1 hook stage
- Survivors can ressurect only if they haven't reached 3rd hook stage.
Yeah, it could be abused the similar way as PHead's cages, though survivors don't seem to have much troubles with that in killer's basekit, so it shouldn't be a bigger deal as offering RARE/ULTRA-RARE offering. Especially if it doesn't force another survivor go for the rescue, so killer gets less benefits and survivors are technically "skipping" the cage thing and just get moved to the other side of the map so it's way harder for the killer to find that survivor again.
And at cost of having slightly weaker version of Phead's cages we get:
- Triple amount of awesome animations to flex
- Survivors have the same amount of "hook stages" when mori isn't in effect.
- Good offering which has its own benefits and disadvantages.
- Taking mori isn't an instawin.
- Mori now allows to farm more points for sacrifices
As killer main, who knows that mories are inevitably going to be changed, this would be a perfect outcome - still strong and useful offering that could impact the game in an interesting way, but it won't break it.
P.S. changed cypress mori basekit - sacrifice 3 survivors and get a permission to kill the last one with your hands.

What do you think about such possible mori change?

Seems like I'd be locking myself into an animation, wherein survivors can belt out gens, with little reward.

aren't you doing the same when carrying survivor to the hook? however you also are risking to lose a survivor

Those offerings are not even close to worth rare/ultra rare.

Mori's skip a hook state. Which is the point of moris

Why though? They would greatly impact the game (since they give a universal alternative for hooks), but they wouldn't break it. I think such effect is more than worthy to be ultrare (or rare/very rare if we talk about ivory mori)
Considering devs are trying to make U/R things "gamechanging" but not "gamebreaking" such possible mories would fit in that description

Now mories skip risks of losing survivor you pick up.

Disagree. They would not impact the game in a meaningful way, from my perspective.

-Pyramid's power is useful because it is instant.
-99% of hook instances don't involve a 15-20 second procedure.
-Losing 1/4 of 2-3 gens and any hook perks to respawn a survivor (at no cost to them, aside from YOUR time) in an advantageous position is very bad.
-Removes any and all hook baiting/removing people off gens for saves if used, allowing further gen progression.

On the other hand:
Allows to bypass certain perks.
Allows to divide survivors in case survivor gets sent into the zone with no gens.
Mori often take up to 14 seconds in worst case (clown), that's not much more than usual dragging to hook
It would allow to secure hook stage because pallet saves, flashlight saves, bodyblocking, sabotage and other stunts that high rank survivors often like to pull off aren't going to work.

Base idea is good, long mori animations mid game, bad.
Maybe a nice new animation and it sends the player to the nearest hook, only kills them on death hook. That would actually be great.
