Not playing with meta perks

As solo survivor does literally nothing good for you. It's not only against the killer, it's a safety-net against your fellow survivors, that make risky plays and get you in trouble.

Even if you play absolutely not toxic, you still can get tunneled and camped, where tunneling is much more common than camping.

So why bother with non-meta perks at all, at least as solo player? You get punished for it and not rewarded. People just don't care.

Because the nonmeta perks will confuse the meta killer.but depends on which though because most perks are poop unless going for specific build

Kind of true. I was playing last night with Empathy/We'll Make it/Balanced Landing/Self Care and I had:

    • One team that watched me go into struggle phase while healing next to me on hook--and then they went and did a gen next to me while I was in struggle phase on the hook. Literally next to me. I could see them from where I was.
    • Another team that let me die on first hook even though the killer was across the map from me
    • A team where an Ace kept unsafe hooking everyone
    • A Leatherface that chased me around the map for multiple minutes every time I got unhooked--and no one did gens the entire time.

It made me really regret not playing deliverance/DS/unbreakable

Not gonna lie sometimes I go into solo survivor with really random/stupid perks. I just want to show that even with a meme build that I can still get top points/escape during a trial.

Cause I'll run the perks I enjoy running instead, sometimes theres overlap with meta, I.e. Unbreakable in my build with tenacity and flip flop, other times there won't be.

I mean even with "meta perks" like Borrowed Time, Iron Will, Bond and Dead Hard - I still get to watch games where I pressure 3 generators by myself at end game while 2 teammates urban evasion back and forth between lockers on Meat Plant. The generators are far enough away from each other that I can get in a chase - lose the killer in a chase and put 40~50% pressure on a gen before he comes to pressure me off one again. Inevitably I one hook and sacrificed while the last two played hatch off until one eventually got pulled from a locker and the other hatched out... the Killer was also not very happy but I stayed just to see if both of them would die in the end.

    P.S. both Rank 1s

I mean,i love using Dead hard,Bond,Kindred and WGLF.This kind of build just feels much more consistent and gets me more points than the other super meta builds.

Whenever i use all these second chance perks it feels like i'm almost never able to use them.

Sometimes the 'meta' won't work for everyone, which is why I'd prefer to find a set of perks or different builds that work for me and that I'm comfortable using rather than use what everyone else is using.
