what if we had a killer that almost completely changes how chases/gameplay work?

a lot of people want new game modes so what if we had a killer that changes how the games chases work drastically, here is my concept:

name: ***** yamako (rin's father)

movement speed: 4.8 ms (120%)

Weapon: katana

main power: "shattered honor" chasing survivors and breaking pallets fills the power gauge, when full you enter a deadly bloodlust for 30 seconds allowing you to break pallets 50% faster, you may also vault windows and pallets slightly slower then a survivor during this time, healthy survivors hit by your weapon attacks while shattered honor is active are afflicted with the deep wound effect or downed if injured.

seems op right? well here is the game changing part:

secondary power: the bodies of four dead samurai spawn in the trial, survivors may interact with these bodies to obtain an item called the vengeful katana allowing them the fight back if they dare to try, pressing the active ability button will allow you to block any survivors who attempts to strike you, after being blocked you can instantly down them in a parry by pressing the attack button, you can also preform a guard breaker (shove) this will break survivors guard if they use the vengeful katana to block, after being stuck by a survivor you will be stunned for 4-5 seconds and afterwards gain a 6 seconds immunity to attacks.

The vengeful katana: the blade of a dead samurai that seeks vengeance on its hosts murderer, a survivor wielding the katana can enter a combat stance while in this stance you automatically face ***** yamako if he is within 15 meters of you creating a stressful and intense duel, you have three different moves you can preform when in combat stance: you can press the attack button to strike forward, you can block, leaving ***** yamaoka open to a counter attack if he hits you, and you can press the secondary action button to dodge backwards slightly further then lunge range (causes and is effected by the exhaustion status effect) this also allows you to counter attack if ***** yamaoka misses, it has no effect if ***** yamaoka is carrying a survivor. when taken out of the trial the katana becomes a dull katana

dull katana: a once powerful weapon that has lost its power through use and time, you may enter the combat stance and preform the three different moves, has two charges that are lost after a successful hit or block, stuns the killer for 1.5 seconds on a successful hit or 0.5 seconds on a successful block and fills the carried survivors wiggle bar by 10% if the killer is carrying a survivor.

what do you think?

This just sounds like a weird combination of Legion, Oni, and Shadowdance Wraith. Plus katanas are already Spirit/Oni's thing, do we really need another killer wielding one?

I also agree with Aven that I don't like the idea of survivors actively fighting back against the killer. I'm fine with survivors needing to expend resources and/or make risky plays to potentially buy a small amount of time against the killer (pallets, flashlights, and Head On), but straight-up dueling the killer feels too over-the-top.

We also already have several killers which fundamentally change chase gameplay:

-Nurse and Hag cannot be looped at all if their players know what they're doing.

-Spirit doesn't really loop, but instead forces survivors to blindly guess where she's phasing to (or if she's phasing at all). Also the only killer where walking/crouching in chase is a possible escape strategy.

-Huntress, Deathslinger, and Pyramid Head can all land hits through windows and across pallets (though 'Slinger can't down survivors through pallets). If you don't fake a vault well, stun these killers with a dropped pallet, or drop the pallet early while they're chasing you, there's a pretty good chance you'll get hit.

You do know each chase is different right you cant loop a deathslinger the same you you would loop a hag.

I do like the concept.... But I'd have to think of how I'd do it to offer any good advice (rather then just say that it will/won't work)

Also like the others mentioned we do have killers whom do change how chases work at a basic level

Nah dude according to the killer mains on this forum every killer except Spirit and Deathslinger are all about running in a circle and literally nothing else. That's 100% the problem we have with them, it's because we can't do the thing we obviously do against every other killer! Because we definitely only run in circles when playing against Huntress, Demo, Billy, Nurse etc. killers that everyone likes.

Next time you play and you start looping the killer tell me you are not running in circle. Because that how it look like

I'm confused about the vaulting thing. Do you mean slightly slower than a fast vault, medium vault, or slow vault.

At those small junk loops (for literally less than 10 seconds before you have to drop the pallet) and main buildings, sure, but everywhere else I'm paying attention to what the killer's doing, and if they want to run in a circle, not think about what they're doing, or use their ability in any way to make it not a circle-fest that's on them.
