My first facecamp ever, and i'm proud of it! (Toxicity Punished!)

The one i facecamped is a laurie with OoO, and spamming flashlight. At that moment, i decide to punish this kind of behavior.

So, soon after i downed her, i proceed to facecamp her. Of course when she's in second stage, all gens are done, and they start to rush the hook. Eventually i manage to prevent the unhook, and then slugged 2 more survivors under the hook (Massive misplay by them btw).

Eventually i facecamp her to death, and then carried the rest to the gate :)

And i feel so satisfied to punish these toxic survivors!

I wouldn't be surprised this is a SWF group based on how they coordinate, but oh well, only the laurie is toxic, so she dies.

Why did you carry the rest to the gate?

It's a serious question. Not sure why you're responding, but OK.

You sounded a bit patronizing. Like he was seeking validation. And it's a forum? People respond to your comments? Not sure why your being passive aggressive.

I would hook all of them.

If only the Laurie was toxic then is it really a toxic swf? You did say toxic survivors so it must have been more than one.

Actually only that laurie is toxic, the rest are fine. So the reason i let the rest go is to piss off that laurie more :) there's no reason to punish people for just teaming with a toxic survivor, even if they're friends.

I want to show her that i don't care about winning. I want to show her that this camping is not for any other reason, but to make sure she dies.

Of course. Everyone here agrees that this game has many toxic people. So i share this just to tell people that i'm glad and proud of myself to be one of the people that punishes these kind of behaviors.

I don't like face campers and I don't like face camping but today I did it. There was a survivor using speed hacks and I still got him onto the hook. Took him a while to just escape via another hack.

Once had a blatant hacker on my team as a survivor - somehow got downed by the killer since the rest of us just stopped doing gens and started chasing him around to watch. Killer picks him up - gets stunned within seconds by instant struggle hack, guy clicks his flashlight and speeds away while crouching. Comes back gets downed again, instantly stands up while the killer is wiping his weapon of blood and is not even injured anymore. Teabags for a bit and then goes running off to instant pop gens.

So we (At least I did) reported that with video recording a few months ago and then never heard if anything ever happened to him... must've been "IP" banned forever, amirite?

I hate camping too, but i hate toxic behavior even more. So i need to do what must be done

I have only experienced hacking twice today was the second the first time was even more noticeable. The first time was 2 friends were insta fixing gens and insta healing.

Ok but... What the hell is that Myers build?

  • ZCerebrate

I've seen numerous hackers over the years - you'll be surprised by the ones that are trying to be "sneaky" while hacking. You ever run alongside a fellow survivor who isn't sprint bursting but slowly pulling distance from you in a straight line Like they're 110% movement speed? They'll eventually get downed by killers but it takes the killer much longer on average at every simple loop where bloodlust is required on many to even barely tap them if the survivor isn't absolutely brain dead.

Not counting the lag switchers on both sides and point and click disconnect hacks (killer just boots the someone he is chasing for too long, watched a buddy of a streamer watch the killer just stop for 10seconds then magically disconnect the streamer before the killer resumed playing the game and going after others)... there are still subtle hacks being used here and there by script kiddies that are very clear to see when you're next to them as a survivor but hard for the killer to tell.

I was thinking the same. She won, he lost the game by one perk. OoO gave the win.

I played as Wraith on old rancid abattoir (god window) and one survivor had OoO/flashlight.

    No face camp first hook.

My plan was proxy camp her after the second hook. Basement.

Her altruistic friend finally unhooked her, and after i downed him, she made the mistake, she started the clickly clicky and showed me that she had BT. I chased her for 15 seconds and waited for the DS. She died. I ended up 3K with Wraith on the most busted map.

Usually if one is toxic, I will find a way to tunnel, camp, kill that one. Only that one, then let other 3 escape.

As a message: if u werent toxic, u would not dead

I remember a time when I was still a new killer that let everyone escape after 2 hooks. 1 survivor keep clicking & tbag, I killed them really early, then I toyed with other 3 like 15-20min. Then let other 3 escape.

    Post game chat:

the toxic one: why only me die?

    me: because clicking

Though honestly with the mindset like mine, a SWF can use it as advantage to always have 3 escape.

It's no difference. You just think it's punishment all for what? You only added to the toxicity.

I've had killers do that to me for the silliest reasons, one being that they were looped all game by me.

If anything you were dragged down to their level so I'm not sure there's any lesson here other than to not let people get to you on such a personal level.

I think OoO users are pretty much ready to be tunneled and facecamped.

So you punished a toxic person by being toxic and you hate toxic behavior... Do you hear yourself? If anything you are adding more to the toxicity.

    Pizzaman Member Posts: 501

"many" is subjective, but I don't want to get into that. 2 years ago, I briefly played with a survivor that did just that, he just tbagged killers. He wasn't even that good, average yes, but not very good. And you know what, he did it just for fun and to get into the killers head. Playing the game the way it was intended just wasn't good enough for him. You probably went against some person exactly like that.

Your title says this was the first time you've ever face camped. Is this (not to camp) your personal code of conduct?

I'm not sure I fully understand. You felt it was toxic for her to blast you with the flashlight a lot? Can you elaborate a bit? I don't want to jump conclusions, but I'm not sure what the problem is with a Strode using one of her Perks OoO and a flashlight?

  • Customapple0
    Customapple0 Member Posts: 629

So flashlight clicking & OoO is toxic? Must be written in a killer rule book somewhere....

Probably someone who just wanted to be chased yet you felt the need to get on your high horse and “punish” them for wanting to play the game

  • Mikeasaurus
    Mikeasaurus Member Posts: 2,327

I mean, congrats on facecamping? To me, you just lowered yourself to toxic levels. What did you prove here? You facecamped a Laurie with OoO and Flashlight when you could have just ignored her and gone for the others. It was most likely a SWF since I only ever see OoO on those, but still. You just gave that survivor what they wanted really. You showed them that they got to you and they most likely sat and laughed about it. I certainly wouldn't be proud of it honestly because this behaviour is exactly why toxic survivors act the way they do sometimes.

  • Moundshroud
    Moundshroud Member Posts: 4,458

I'm just trying to keep an open mind, and I'm trying to assume there is something OTHER than her clicking the flashlight at you (and having OoO) that made you decided to "punish" her. The screenshot you put up shows you and them in the Red Ranks, so I just can't believe clicking at you is the extent of it. Please elaborate.

IMO punish toxicity with toxicity is justified. Remember the first law exist in this world? It's based on this one rule "an eye for an eye"

And i can assure you i won't be toxic against someone who outplayed me. In fact, i always send a gg regardless the match result. Hell, i even send those to toxic SWF before..

  • OmegaXII
    OmegaXII Member Posts: 2,216

Ok. At start, she run towards the center of the map, and try to gain attention probably because i'm undetectable. Probably a bad choice for her i guess, because if it's ghostface, she's doomed. Maybe she did this for to attract attention away from her teammates.

Obviously i left her, and then go for her starting position to catch other survivors.

Then, i got into T2, and try to chase the one who i stalked. Then mysteriously i lost her track at shack, where scratch marks ends for no reason. Not in the locker either. I'm not mad at this, as i even forgot who i stalked (a female survivor)

So i decide to pay the OoO user a visit, because she was doing gens at farthest location, and i have nowhere to go (no information perks are equipped). The moment i got near like 30 m away, she T-bags, and spamming flashlights.

Obviously i stalked and ignored her, and started to chase the other one who was with her. I forgot the details, but the general things she did was spamming flashlights at distance like 10 m away, trying to gain my attention.

The moment i tried to get close, she ran straight line for safe loops. T-bag at every pallet, spamming flashlights in between loops when she knows she'll make it.

Come on, i know i'm playing m1 killer, and got extremely small terror radius that you can abuse. Fine, abuse it, but can she not be a toxic little brat and try to annoy me? I have been dealing with so many OoO users before, and i don't really care about it if they don't try to actively seek to annoy killer. That's why at this point i decided that she needs to die.

At one point she did get unhooked, but you know what she did? Spamming even more flashlights, because she has BT, DS and UB. So i slugged her.

Then, for some reason, someone else came in and throw a pallet at that area. So i chase them off, and she uses UB to get up when i'm at the other side of pallet. More flashlight clicking, and i downed her in 10 secs.

Gens were done at this point, so i hooked her and camp. For some reason, i grabbed both survivors that tried to rescue her. Then she died, and i carry the rest to exit gate. No reason to kill them as they're not toxic

If i was truly toxic, i won't even carry the rest to exit gate when i can hook them.

I was chilling around, and tried to do the challenge (use predator to chase 4 survivors)

All i want is to chill, and have some chase, and win or lose, i don't care. But that's just a dream in this game i guess..

  • Moundshroud
    Moundshroud Member Posts: 4,458

Well, hrm. I'm stickler for good sportsmanship. Tea-bagging someone without a purpose, that is just rude. Clicking the light and doing her best to keep you chasing her, well that's just part of the game. I wouldn't take that personal. You are a Red Rank Killer so you don't need my advice on how to play. I got angry the other day because I was the last Survivor (all else dead or disconnected) and the Ghostface downed me and then proceeded to let me bleed out so he could force me to watch him tea-bag for five minutes. That is above and beyond and I would feel like punishing. Someone who has decided to be the bait, well, I'm not sure I would single that person out.

All that being said, camping, face camping, tunneling, slugging, and the Mori are all your call. They are valid tactics (although I tend to use them when I'm trying to win). I'm just saying, in my opinion, the Strode doesn't sound like she was doing anything I wouldn't do if I got that role.

  • OmegaXII
    OmegaXII Member Posts: 2,216

If she wants to win the game, then go and do gens, i won't be able to stop her anyway. Don't just stay around me and spamming flashlights when i'm chasing someone else.

Also, her teammates doesn't look like total potatoes either. So i can almost guarantee she just want to make fun of the killer.

I have been ignoring these survivors for 2 years..

  • Moundshroud
    Moundshroud Member Posts: 4,458

Fair enough. You were there; I was not. I know that the line between trying to fulfill a role for the team and simply aggravate someone is not a simple one. It is just something you "know" is happening when it happens. That is why I asked for clarification. I don't mind the clickers too much, particularly if I'm chasing someone else. It tells me I've tied up two Survivors with one chase. I'd rather know where they are than not, so them doing the silly is kind of helpful and doesn't get under my skin.

I had a great Survivor taunt me once with the pointing animation. He was in the gateway (door already opened). Both gates were VERY close and he was trying to keep me there so his buddies at the other door (it wasn't open) could get out. I respected the move. What he didn't know was I had the Tombstone Piece and fully powered up. I crossed the distance in a heartbeat and as he turned to get knocked out and crawl into escape (he assumed he would be insta-downed bout out of my grab range), I picked him up and did the Myer's Mori for folks on the run.

He took it in good humor just as I took his taunts in good humor. I knew what he was trying to do (there was a reason) so I wasn't offended either.

I actually support survivors to stand and face the exit to make the killer hit you and force you out. That way, at least you waste his time, and can confirm if he has NOED or not.

I support their moves if their motive is to win the game. There's nothing to wrong with a person trying to win. But i really don't think that's the intention of that laurie.
