Does anyone unintentionally play the game on hard mode aka a broken button
For example my button for vaulting and pallet throwing is broken so it's complete luck if I actually throw the pallet

Is it the same button you use to struggle during second hook stage?

Nah I USE RT as my struggle button rb is for vaulting pallets healing and gens and unhooking

I did for about a full two months until recently, the right click on my mouse didn't work about 20% of the time. Looking back I should have just used a different keybind. It was really bad on killer and I just ended up not playing killer for a full month.

also the rb button is for hooking survivors one time it was having its broken moment and the ######### survivor wiggled out of my arms

Not exactly like that.
My setup is a TV 12 feet away, a couch for a mouse pad, my lap for a keyboard, no headphones, and on days I’m streaming, the game on windowed mode.
On top of all of that, my last mouse was so broken it would disconnect and the buttons wouldn’t always work
It was and is very easy to lose survivors.

That sucks bro

Some days my right mouse button decides it's not gonna cooperate so sometimes my Deathslinger/Huntress will put down their projectiles when I'm lining up a shot. Jesus is protecting some of you.

Lot of fun though.
Getting into red ranks was a challenge.

Ah, I feel this one.
My RMB is also pretty screwy, so sometimes when I'm using an item I'll randomly let go. It's not "hard mode" but it's painfully annoying.

I had an old ps4 controller that when it was dying it'd have me randomly stop running, was horrible during chases.
Edit: by dying I mean the controller itself, not battery running out.

For some reason the text scaling option in Windows 10 was causing me to frequently drop mouse clicks in the game. Was frustrating losing clutch attacks because the killer just didn't swing.

Well, I am playing with a controller on the Steam version, does that count? (At leaset some killers are WAY harder this way)

Before I finally got a new controller, the LB button on my previous one had fallen off (I could hold it in place to make it work like 60% of the time, but it wasn't real comfortable). For context, that's the button I have skillchecks and running mapped to.
I eventually cannabalized it and a couple other semi-functional controllers into one working "Frankontroller", but now the headphone adapter I have on it is loose (meaning one bad rumble and I lose all audio for at least 15 seconds). Though I keep using it for DbD anyway. Don't really want to prematurely wear out the analog sticks on my nicer controller from playing survivor.

Oh 100%. My spacebar and shift keys both broke recently and im unable to go out to the store to get a new one until Tuesday next week, when I'm paid, and even then it's likely to be a shoddy replacement of what I've already got. Can hardly sprint reliably, let alone throw a pallet or vault. Playing killers a bit easier tho, as I can just hop on doc/trapper/oni and mash spacebar when I needa pick up or hook.
Might have to swap to my old xbox controller for now.

Until I replaced my controller, I had to put up with certain diagonal movements not working right.

I currently play with my PS4 controller's right analog stick's axis being somehow broken, despite it being a new controller. Whenever I play killer the camera just randomly starts to go up mid-chase and I sometimes lose track of the survivor that way. Or when trying to use a killer that has to aim (Huntress, PH) the camera screws me and I end up completely whiffing the attack. I mean, I'm adapting, but I can guarantee from the survivor PoV it looked pretty hilarious to see a hatchet just fly into space

I've been playing the game with my left hand full of stitches , let's just say I've had to switch a few buttons around to be able to play right and it's not been the most pleasant experience lol can't wait to get them out next week

Default binding for everything but struggle and both my mouse buttons are worn to semi functional. Always a gamble trying to hold them down.

can ya rebind?
1 -
i could, but i don't want to get used to it and then have a new keyboard next week and have to get used to normal :/

Did for a day, my shift button was not working at all, made me rage more than playing any game at all.
The next morning I went to get a new keyboard.
