No optimization at all with this coming patch ouch good luck low end pc/console players. (Atleast they fixed the fps when gens pop but still ouch)

I'm praying to god this doesn't break the game. I'm PS4 and this patch is what I'm dreading with the new graphics. I love them, but if they make the FPS worse, I'm DC'ing those maps every time, penalty or not. I can handle bugs and glitches, but FPS, not a chance.

These devs are Cart before the horse with seemingly everything they do. Time for more maps playing like a projector.

They stated on Twitter that they payed special attention to console optimization for these new graphics. I don’t know why they didn’t include this note on the patch notes because it’s a huge topic recently. It’s good information so why would they not share it with a concerned community.
Now, as far as how much optimization and the quality of it, I can’t speak for. We will have to try it ourselves and find out.

Fps drops when gens pop on maps with graphic updates, not the other maps. Was PTB bug fix not general bug fix.

From what it seems to me, the devs don’t have current gen consoles as a top priority. Everything they seem to be doing is for the pc and the future gen.

They're waiting another couple of months so they can tell you your console is outdated and once you upgrade you'll be fine

To be blunt I know a lot of console players are going to switch to Playstation 5 and whatever the Nintendo and Xbox equivalent to that is when the next gen comes out. PC players playing on a toaster will probably need to upgrade.
"I shouldn't have to upgrade my PC to play a game."
Meanwhile Microsoft keeps beaming heavy updates to your computer which eventually slow it down as its bogged under "security updates". In truth the game was rigged from the start. Bill Gates demands all of your money, and only a beefy graphics card can save you.

I honestly wonder what the minimum spec requirements are now for this game, I would be very surprised if it was the same as the initial release

Thanks for the advice, I'll order one with construction people to make a personal backyard pool because it would be convenient to use that instead of driving to a public swim place.
Obviously that's an extreme example, but you should get the point. Not EVERYONE is rich enough to get a high-end gaming PC.

That's your solution? Buy a PC with our extra magical pile of money to properly run a 2016 game? That was "goaled" to be optimized in late 2018.
And remember there's no Cross Progression and likely not going to be one with Xbox, so we all would have to buy the game again, and all the dlc's again, plus any cosmetics too. Oh and all of our characters are back to lvl 1 so we grind again as well.
Would you do all that to continue to play this game? Be honest please...

That's the problem with a game like this, it's constantly evolving and the devs are upgrading their own software along with making the game stay with the new up and coming technology, it's the only way this game can survive the next gen coming and stay relevant is to keep upgrading but the bad part is it's at a point now where a significant amount of players are gonna have to upgrade to have an enjoyable experience, I have a 3000 dollar PC and even it's been experiencing a very small fps drop but nothing to rant over
