Am i the only one who likes blight?
I personally think blight is one of the most interesting killers to be realesed in a very long time and i had a blast playing him last night and i do see some potential in his play style.
Sadly i think im one of very few people who actually like blight i understand his abit of a let down for the blight theme i mean we've waited 2 years for pinball man on drugs!?
But just give it some time im sure he will be a fun killer once you get to know how use his power better.
just as a side note please change his lounge when he's doing a rush attack its suuuper easy to dodge.

I enjoy playing as blight and see the potential he has. I played 3 games with him with no addons. While survivors mostly 360 my rush, they usually end up being outpositioned. I feel that's the intention behind not giving him freedom in lunging.
His perks are good too. His addons however make him really good. Reminds me of wraith. Addons arent like PH on this guy.

I actually enjoy him

I enjoy him a lot, haven't had this fun in a very long time, right now my name on steam is space pinball (for those of you that don't get it, either you are too young or you grew with internet) it's a game on pc that it's just pinball but it was a lot of fun playing it growing up.

No, I like him. I like that he's got one of the best mobility powers in the game, and also one of the most chaotic chases. I just hate that he can only lunge while in a lethal rush, not do an otherwise-basic attack like Legion.
But I don't think that making him Oni With No Instadown would be a good idea. Right now you actually have a decent amount of control over whether the hit lands, it's just the fact that you can run straight past someone mid-lunge because your reactions were on point but your predictions weren't.

At first I hated his power but over time he grew on me a lot. I'm enjoying him a lot :)

Agreed ive also found that body blocking windows and pallets when starting a rush and before survivors can get to it really works in alot of chases

No, you're not the only one.
He is a very fun killer. And although his power doesn't make a whole lot of sense lore-wise, it still feels nice and fun to play around with. I have to say that I'm enjoying him. And just the fact that he's not what some other people wanted, doesn't make him bad in any way.

I’m having trouble enjoying killer in general because I have to spam the hook button and the same issue is happening while trying to open lockers or break pallets. I ended up inside a locker while doing a legion daily when I was trying to open it.. I managed to spam my way back out..
2 -
I absolutely love The Blight. I'll be playing him more than any other killer for the time being.

Im having the same issue with hooks and lockers too ive got to mash the buttons to hook someome

The Blight is pretty fun to play as imo. If they change his lunge attack so survivors can't dodge the attack as easily he would be pretty strong too I believe.

I like him a lot aswell, i hope they dont change him.

I wish they putted the Ultra rare Compound as a base-kit like they did to Demo, also his POV sucks.

He's not the strongest killer. But he's fun. And has counterplay. Too much counterplay tbf but survivors wont complain is where I'm getting at.

I keep saying it, as killer and survivor I think he is the most fun killer in the game.

As survivor he is boring to go against. Maybe once people get better with him it'll be different but right now he just feels like a m1 killer that doesn't do anything special. His power doesn't do anything to make you worry about getting into a chase with him. Maybe he'll bounce off something to speed up and hit you? I can see killers having fun learning how to play as him and having fun running into stuff but as survivor I relax way too much when I'm playing against him.

I'm having a ton of fun with the guy! His mobility is just too nutty imo. People keep trying to use his rush at tiles and it's just too unreliable for looping. Once you force them to leave a loop, that's where The Blight's strength lies.
4k'd all my games with him so far and don't even have most of my perks unlocked.

LMAO, I just made a thread saying the exact same thing cause I didn't notice this one.

Honestly, I like everything about him, he is very fun, when he works but I have 5 problems with him.
- His FOV is EXTREMLY annoying and its not even like the Hag, who actually is that small, he is bigger than his FOV lets on, so you both have bad FOV AND less mindgame potential than the hag.
- His Lunge just feels so... janky imo. I feel like he should have full control during his lunge but cap the radius that he can turn, kinda like the Oni.
- I now have the opposite problem with him than I did back on the PTB, you want to actually bounce off of a wall to reposition/go into lethal rush, but instead slide right off, ending in a stun AND being outpositioned. Some surfaces also seem to be completly bugged and even if you run into a wall thats right in front of you, you end up just sliding off anyways.
- You can't use his power when facing stairs, probably a bug with them counting as walls and triggering the anti double bounce they added. This both prevents you from starting a rush and continuing after bouncing off a wall near stairs.
- There are still certain spots that have collision for no reason while using the power, while being able to walk trough normally without it, resulting in "air bounces", although these are usually the same ones that make Bubba+Billy bump with air and aren't exclusive to him
Some of these are just bugs and will probably get fixed (except for the common bump spots since they didn't fix those in years) and alone they aren't too big of a deal, but some of them can show up multiple times in a row, which is really frustrating.
Again, he is very fun when he actually works and I think fixing the bugs would be enough to make him WAY less frustrating, although I wouldn't say no to changes regarding his lunge and FOV.

Dear god no you showed off the very uber secret legion tech
How will I slaughter the Dwights now

He's pretty fun, I kind of enjoy him. I didn't like him at first but then I played a few more matched and I actually really liked it.
I'm not sure how I feel about playing against him though because I only ran into two Blights in my whole day of playing survivor yesterday.

lol I mean I’ve been waiting for the time we could hide in lockers to catch survivors I just didn’t know my Susie would be the first to pull it off hahaa

Have you tried running Shadowborn on him for the increase in FOV?

Going to try and buy him since its like Mr Hyde and with the Gentleman Outfit........It's like a gift from the entity

I like him, his seems like a pretty good character with addons. I play him like a physics puzzle.

I mean if survivors really can just 360 his rush to dodge it I think that would need some changing. Often enough survivors will be able to get to a pallet or window that way. However, I'm still not sure if The Blight player can't actually do anything against that or if there is indeed a way to still most definitely get a hit against survivors, even if they 360.

I also understand that some people would have hoped for a killer with more complex powers, since he is of big importance lore wise and has been around for two years, and I get that some people feel like the devs could have done something different with him seeing as how he is an alchemist, but I'm personally really happy that they gave such an important killer lore wise that was teased for 2 years such a fun and pretty unique power.
His design definitely lives up to his importance in my opinion.

Agree with the general point, I think he could be too oppressive if his lunge had more control, found myself on numerous occasions missing the initial lunge but then getting an m1 within 7 seconds
1 -
There are things you can do to help, kind of - from my experience those are;
Lunge pretty early, combined with the below tip you can hit some really nice stuff, if you try to lunge too late, it's very easy to be spun as your sensitivity is super low and you don't necessarily know which direction the survivor will juke
Rotate your camera so you are using WA/WD when moving and strafing, anticipating where the survivor is moving

He's fun but he sucks.

I want to like the Blight, i mean from a looks perspective he's great and the design team did a good job, but gameplay is all kinds of bad. I know he just came out, so i shouldn't judge him too harshly, but really it doesn't take long for people that know the game to figure things out. I understand not wanting another killer who is really good at loops because some people think Pyramid Head and Deathslinger are brain-dead, but his power offers nothing to help deal with looping. The biggest problem I have with him is his movement restrictions, not being able to turn how I want is common thing many people say about him. From the PTB to live they increased his turn rate, he even has add-ons that increase turn rate, WHY NOT JUST NOT RESTRICT MY TURN RATE TO BEGIN WITH. Oni had this same issue with his flick out of demon dash, before it was useful and let you hit where you wanted but then they added a turn restriction and you can just barley reach some angles.

Yes thats true. I‘ve discovered that myself yesterday as well. I was having such a hard time hitting survivors around any object or corner, until i realised i can kinda strafe even during the lunge which makes it much better than I first thought. Especially around corners its helpful to Start the lunge a bit earlier than normally.
The only concern i have is that its too easy to dodge when you are in the open, with a 360 for example. Liie you said you can predict which direction the survivor will dodge to, but im not sure if survivors can just dodge at the very last moment into the other direction, because the turning at the end of the Lunge is so weak. But I‘m not sure About that, maybe if you play it right the survivor can not actually dodge your lunge. I guess maybe when the survivor is in the open, not lunging at all but just tapping M1 when you are right at the survivor could perhaps work as well.

I'm scared cause I really like him but I'm already getting games with same old boring killers and I really want to play against him. (I'm on console, we didn't get a ptb) When I ask the killers who aren't playing blight why, they get nasty with me. I just want to play against him ;-;

Definitely not. I love this dumb pinballing idiot, the most fun killer they've ever made.
0 -
Sry maybe I was unclear, you can rush up the stairs no problem, but as soon as you want to start a rush it doesn't work, just like if you were right infront of a wall and then try to start your power, you can't m2 infront of stairs.
0 -
Sry, with FOV I meant camera placement. Its way too close to the ground for his height. The hag also has her camera close to the ground, but she is actually that small, so you can't see over bigger obstacles but others can't see you well over them either, allowing mindgames on certain loops that larger killers don't have. With Blight you are big enough to be seen over those obstacles, but you can't see over them yourself, so you basically have the worst of both worlds in that case.

I like his style, the only thing that bothers me is the low Point of View. You lose Survivors in plain sight and get very dizzy and disorientated.
