Visionary is pretty OP for Killer Players
As a Killer, the entire way you play the game centers around generator locations. Ideally, you'll try to manipulate chases so Survivors stay near generators, which saves time for you when they're downed and increases the odds of the Survivor interrupting gens being worked on.
But with Visionary, Survivors can do the reverse. They can see which map geometry doesn't have generators and intentionally lead chases away from the important sections of the map. Basically, if you play around Visionary's generator Auras you can easily make Killers leave you or take extremely costly chases. Even early game, you can be intentional about saving pallets near generators and going to areas that have no reason for the Killer to chase in.
I hit Rank 1 Survivor yesterday because of Visionary. I'm almost always a Rank 1 Killer, so adding generator Auras to my perk loadout really turned on my Killer mindset to help me with Survivor games.

This only works assuming your teammates do those gens which they usually don't.

Good survivors have known to do that for years already.

Once you know the map then you know where the gens, pallets, and window are. This perk of more for new players.

Can't see this as information you wouldn't already have by paying attention to gens popping, looking around for spotlights and general experience if you play enough. The exception maybe being certain indoor maps like Hawkins or Lerys if the guaranteed gens have already been finished.
Also Bond naturally does this but lets you avoid terrified randos who get off a generator if they hear a heart beat - so you encourage them to hold M1.

You... should already be tracking this stuff?

For me it was self care that taught me this. I knew if I ran away from all the gens there would be a high chance the killer would abandon me to pressure gens and I could heal in peace.
Visionary is fine too though.

I like visionary. Solves the problem of indoor maps completely.

Good for you man. I also said it. You want a cookie for saying it first? Sorry I didn't read the whole thread before i posted. I did what most people do and respond to the OP, cause that's what drew me into the thread.

Don't get me wrong here, not trying to be an Ahome of any kind.
But as survivor you always try to take the kler away from gens.
You can even hear during chases if they're working on one and adjust your routing.
Personally i thing visionary is a wast of perk as gens are easy to find without it.
(except on lery's, but that is a map I always struggle on 😬)
If you as survivor stay near a gen than you're not playing it right imo.
As killer you have to make a choice when chasing a survivor.
Strong survivors always try to get you away as far as possible.
Smart killers know when they need to break the chases.
I only go for long chases if the gens are going really slow, otherwise I make sure I down you really fast and get back to the gen and scare other survivors away.
So personally I would say visionary is just like Windows of oppertunity and deja vu, it's good for beginners nothing more.

(you edited that in after the original post - nice try, though)

Only the roughest toughest most rowdy gamers hang 'round these parts. I bet these people would eat at the Krusty Crab without using the secret sauce.
