The fact that Devs think Compound 21 and Oni's Top Knot are somehow at the same level as the pre-change Mothers Helpers show that they probably do have 0 idea how to play the game. It's nuts how much rare addons vary in power.

I feel like blight could use some help but this add on is OP, It should most definitely be purple or ebony.
It's just too strong when combined with other tracking perks and a recharge add on. I'd rather they make him easier to play with some changes to his power and camera height rather than make him rely on this add on.

From how I play it, you charge, hit a wall, IF there is someone there you can MAYBE get a single hit in if the survivor is essentially right next to you, before he plays the vial injection animation. (since your NOT resuming your bounce attacks/movement.) It's essentially the same as a legion stabbing someone and seeing their heartbeats, same recovery, same one hit and choice to resume the chase. The Wraith has similar tracking perk addons too for his detection. There is a trade off for every single point you decide to use this addon, your sacrificing your momentum and speed to see an aura and go for the chase. the difference between this killer and the two previous ones i mentioned is legion and wraith have to slow down either before or after the first hit. If I was thinking outside the box I would perhaps either lower the seconds to..half? along with the rarity upped, I don't use it that much as i prefer using my adrenaline vial and the turning addon to counter the loss of turning. I still have to counter this with the blood amber addon (not to mention the army of perks to see the killer) which does the EXACT same thing for the survivors.

I would enjoy if the devs did look into this. If the add-on is actually this busted, I'm sure a range nerf would be a good way to nerf it unless it's a timer lowering. I haven't played the Blight yet so I can't say too much on the subject.

I just wanted to add I play both sides, I love playing survivor with my pals and sometimes solo (im looking at your randoms not doing anything in the corner!) and have no bias towards either side, I feel the fact people think this addon may be op is justified BUT it does not need to be nerfed to the ground, the smallest of changes make the biggest of differences in this game and its so fragile to keep it just right for everyone.

Green rarity is the "rarest" a addon can be
Between all the map/bloodpoint offerings there are and the 5 addons the blight has getting one in perticular is pretty uncommon
Bump this addon to purple or iri and you'll see it every game

Lol scratched mirror Myers is so slow I can loop him for ages before I get hit once. The trade off makes if fair and unless he’s bringing an indoor map offering there’s no way he can get enough map pressure to be a real threat.

Maybe we could fix the real busted things like ds when gates are open not much you can do . but lets fix an add-on that helps the killer get in a chase wow he cant lunge do a 90 degree turn and he misses. but yes how dare the killer have something thats not a perk to have info but swf gets object without the killer seeing them. it took the devs almost 2 years to nerf ds to current state it took the devs around 3 months to nerf pair needs how about we fix the things that need to be fixed and stop complaining about an add-on

His Basepower allows him to get into new Chases in seconds. This is anything but bad.

His weakness is turning and curves essentially you can only use his power versus hold W gamers. Still fun as hell tho!

Both as i been taking in different view points and yes tru3 is one of them but it doesnt matter as if you look at c21 and compare it to swf then you would make the same conclusion aswell.
The game is vastly 3-4 man swf though and you cant ignore that fact when you are looking at perks or add ons swf has to be taken into account before saying something is OP or to strong.
HOWEVER i have been testing it out with different combos and even tried the purple version of this type of add on to see if the purple is better that c21 (the one where while rushing the aura is shown in a 8 meter radius) it wasnt. I do agree that it not a green worth add on its a purple level and need to switch around with the other add on that i mentioned. HOWEVER thats it there no changes need to it as it not busted and not op just that it is in the wrong rarity that is all.

Here's my stance on it. There's no reason not to run this add-on every game you play with the Blight. So this either needs to be removed or the aura reading could be added to the base kit with reduced range say 8 meters and than this add-on could increase the aura reading range by an additional 8 meters.
Add-ons shouldn't be a requirement on any killer, I know that for some killers they are (Like Wraith) But ideally all of the core parts of a killer should be a part of their base kit and not in an add-on.

I don't know,the amount of actually good SWFs i went against in my 2 to 3 thousand hours of playing killer is pretty small.
Most games are against either solo survivors or bad to average SWFs.
Also,designing addons against good SWFs is just a really bad idea.
SWF should be balanced in another way not with killer addons.It also makes solo survivor even harder than it already is.

Everyone knows at this point it doesn't work like that and you rarely ever encounter a legit tournament squad people use as a case in point in this forum. Why is it such a taboo to play killer more than survivor and still recognize when a game mechanic isn't fair for the other side? I'm not talking about you specifically but I see this attitude way too often and it doesn't really make things better for either side.

The add-on only gives information, I believe wraith has add-on called All-seeing Blood and nobody really complains about his add-on that gives permanent aura-reading with 0 TR. Part of strength of this add-on is that it replaces tracking perks for killer, similar to how med kit replace healing perks for survivor, so you do not need whispers.The add-on is purely tracking and it was ultra-rare in PTB. Many of BVHR killers contain strong add-on of lower rarity and vast majority of ultra rare are trash so its miracle that anything good for killer gets put into the game in the first place.
Edit: I have also escaped blight with add-on, another overrated thing for killer.

yeah, he has add-on of purple rarity that gives aura-reading and because its not very good. its not being complained about and it doesn't matter what rarity an item is, I mean I have tons of ebony mori and Ivory mori and those are pink and green, I just don't use them because... well their gamebreaking unlike this add-on that is not gamebreaking. it prevents you from playing hide and seek vs blight. If its really that bad, they could invent a survivor perk or improve a useless perk like solo survivor to not require survivors to die to hide aura-reading perks, than you can play invisible Claudette build, wasted perk slot in my opinion.

almost every blight i see is using this compound add on. i cant do anything, run anywhere to avoid him...... im really not having fun with this game past few weeks, constant problems, i have movement bugs every game where i cant turn for a few seconds. if i didnt love this game i would of uninstalled it and left a negative review.

That's fair enough but I'd honestly say it's his best add on still. I'm not saying it needs nerfing, just the rarity increasing.

Except with the wraith addon you still need to uncloak so it gives away your position. But but but silent bell...then you're using your two addon slots to get the value. That's a trade off in itself. Not to mention most viable Wraith builds need at least one windstorm for mobility. You're comparing apples to oranges here.

Anyone saying the new killer is bad is just bad. No excuse to not get a 4K every game unless it is a 4man swat team on cocaine.

Hag has an addon for 5 sec aura read on any trap (green)
Myers has scratched mirror (purple but infinite) and other addons for aura read (green and yellow)
Doc has aura read addons (green and yellow)
Huntress has a trash aura read addon (purple)
Wraith has aura addon (purple)
Pig has aura addon (iri)
etc..
everyone can settle down now

Correct me if I’m wrong but last time I checked none of the killers you mentioned can move at 9.2m/s while seeing your aura.

The problem is the amount of control the blight has over when to read those auras and how effective the radius and duration both are in this situation.
The control of the aura reading is more limited on those other characters.
It really is too much and it'll definitely get nerfed by the midchapter patch.
They'll nerf the Rarity, Duration OR the Radius of the addon, but worst case scenario is they'll nerf more than just one of those options killing the addon entirely.

I like the idea behind the add-on, but it needs to be changed ever so slightly.
Here are some changes that could make it a bit more fair.
When initiating a Slam after Rushing for at least 16 meters, reveal the Aura of Survivors within 16 metres of the collision location for 6 seconds.
Alternatively
When initiating a Slam reveal the Aura of the nearest Survivor within 16 metres of the collision location for 6 seconds.

Just used it for a couple of trials. It really is an unfair addon that should be least iri with a change to it. It needs to activate after so many rushes or after a certain distance has been rushed. It was far too easy to track people. Its like having I'm All Ears everytime you can rush.

Did i say elite 4 man swf nope i say swf in general never said tourmanent squads i just said swf even if the swf is not elite they still have advantage on information on killer that is a fact.
I play both side but prefer killer i play survivor with friends casually but even then i notice how even casually playing the game im telling my friends where the killer is or am i getting updates on what going on with my friends regarding gen progress or killer location etc.
Regarding C21 i need to ask wheres the harm in a killer add on giving similar kind of information? that all swf have avaiable to them for free does it need to be a higher rarity yes i wont disagree there does it need nerfing no, while it does give you strong information its up to the killer how to respond to that information and make correct responses if they make wrong response to it then thats wasted information.

Balancing killer addons around SWF is just a really bad idea and makes solo survivor even harder than it already is.
This addon is basically a waaaaaaay better i'm all ears without a cooldown.That's not okay.
Reduce the range on it to 12m,only apply the scoring event if a survivors aura is revealed and apply the aura reading only while you are slammed against a wall/object.
This would encourage strategic play rather than getting huge amounts of information for free
