oh no... the blights are evolving
The blight players seem to be getting better. they land hits on some pretty sharp turns too.
i dont think people can claim that hes too weak now >_>

I mean, Streamers like Tofu or Scott also say that he is strong. I guess, when he is out for a week or two, we know for sure.
7 -
He is decent. The only Problem with him which is frustrating is his low PoV.
11 -
Yeah, Tofu was saying his power isn't great for loops but is super useful for transitioning to other tiles. I haven't had the chance to play him yet since my friends wanted to swf last night and I've dumped all of my BP into the new Survivor but I'm looking forward to learning the Blight since I prefer the high mobility killers.
1 -
It begins.
Everyone said Deathslinger was a worse huntress btw
Everyone said Oni was a weaker Hillbilly btw
Knee jerk reactions in this game only serve to give you a false sense of confidence. "Oh he's playing x killer, no need to worry..."
11 -
My God... it's almost like higher skill level killers take more than a single day to figure out. Imagine how Blight will be playing... tomorrow! (OoOoOoOoOoOoh!)
Yeah, since you can rotate mid-Rush and turn just a tiny bit when you lunge you can get up to 90 degree turns with your power if you anticipate a survivors movements even without turning addons. I haven't even tried the turning addons yet because I played his first dozen matches with base-kit. They look like they're going to be his best though.

Didn’t a lot of players say Spirit was weak on release? and here we are now lol
16 -
Most new releases get called weak or overpowered, then after a while it tends to flip around, then when people have properly learned to play as and against it, and any major problems one way or the other get ironed out people finally start thinking its balanced.
2 -
I always remember when the Spirit came out people thought she was ok but needed buffed. A lot of people thought she needed to be able to see blood.
Now look at her..

I posted screenshots of my 4ks and some guy tried to claim those high ranked survivors were just bad and that's why i won
1 -
So, I spoke today with what it seems a blight main, that did 60 degree turns, because I was actually impressed, and apparently you can use your own body along with your camera to get what they seem as "impossible hits".
For some reason they make turning way better, and let's you get an incredible high turning speed. I have no idea of the specifics, but I guess it's something like moonwalk/360
It's gonna be nerfed soon probably, just like what happened with Oni. It's also incredible the ammount of blights that exploit the mechanics of this game, like bumping into corners/slides to have a higher speed, and I even saw someone abusing the hill collisions to gain 2 stuns mid-air and it was absolutely horrible.
They shouldn't of have increased the speed on the base kit, since as of right now, the "meta" addons is less stun time, and higher speed.
1 -
People are stubborn, some probably wouldn't accept it even if their was video footage, theyd point out small mistakes and claim that that makes them terrible.

This is such a ridiculous thread; he's been out for a day. But woah! People are suddenly getting better at him!
3 -
i played him on ptb and started winning matches after about 10 games so yes
0 -
It is less ridiculous when you think that this Thread is most likely a reaction to the Threads which called him weak after he was out for an hour.
2 -
Deathslinger is a weaker huntress though lol
That was never wrong.
8 -
I'm still waiting to be impressed. On survivor we've been dunking on him with a 3-4 escape every game at rank 1 (solo queue mind you).
So far it feels way too easy to dodge his rush given its prerequisites and high risk involved.
Reminds me a little of Oni before he got his turning buff where you could just easily side step him. At least Oni's was a 1 shot though...
Still early so we'll have to give it time, but first impressions he seems weak from both sides. Currently feels like I'm playing with him, not running from him.
4 -
His addons are really strong. People haven't learned how to take advantage of his poor turning nor the fact that he can't swing on the first rush / can't swing immediately after slamming. Once people learn how to 360 him and run towards where he slams and once his addons get inevitably nerfed, he'll be much weaker.
1 -
The instant I tried him on the PTB I knew he had great untapped potential and I was 100% wrong when I believed otherwise. I'm guessing we're gonna see a lot more Blight players for the next month or two, each one more skilled than the last.
0 -
Tbf, both those were true statements...
Oni is only better now because he got buffs and Billy got some nerfs.
And DS still is a worse Huntress.
7 -
Maybe they're stacking mouse and keyboard turning?
I haven't played as Blight yet, but that's how you could do 180s with Oni originally.
0 -
That is indeed what we are doing. You can rotate during the rush before you lunge, and then rotate a bit more during the lunge itself. I've found that by anticipating your opponents movements correctly you can pivot nearly 90 degrees when you do a lethal lunge (or whatever it's called).

Until you have at least 20 hours on a killer and experimented with multiple perk builds, I really think people should not comment.
I thought Michael was "Severely" underpowered when I first tried him, then kept playing....
0 -
Yeah all the survivors bullying blights right now cause he is new are gonna be screaming on the forums once people get better with him believe that.
1 -
People still say that
0 -
In good hands he can be very effective, but imo hea not a top tier killer that we will see at red ranks often
0 -
Bunch of survivors commented about how blight was a fair killer whos fun to face during the PTB when he was absolute garbage. When blight actually turns out to be good i expect a slew of post about how is "unfun".
1 -
Blight is very frustrating to learn and being forced to play him on a bunch of reworked maps who have been made incredibly dark and full of tall grass when his PoV is so low to the ground does not help (not to mention the usual sound problems where survivors only make noise when they feel like it it seems).
I've been improving with him over the few games I played with the small amount of perks I have available on him, but it also happen that my last games where on old maps where I could actually see stuff. So there is that.
His power is great for mobility. You can cover a lot of distance with it and bounce in any direction. Its also on a relatively short cooldown. But for everything else its very lackluster. Its near useless at any loop, but its not really meant to be used there. But Blight's ability to catch peoples in the open is fairly limited by how incredibly easy it is to lose sight of survivors. His very low to the ground PoV combined with screwed up sound and scratch marks on top of getting unfavorable super dark maps full of visiual clutter make it very unlikely to hit anything with Lethal Rush, not to mention the very limited turn angle and weird momentum of the attack.
Sure you can use some of his add-ons to help him turn better and keep track of survivor, but that just make him add-on dependant and thats not good for any killer.
I reserve my final judgment on Blight for when I'll have a decent set of perks and some more games played. But for now, while he might not be as bad as he seems when you first try him and has interesting potential, he also has issues. He really feel undercooked and in dire need of some small gameplay tweaks and QoL stuff.

I get this BS too because of how regularly I win with Clown. “Oh the survivors must’ve been potatoes”.
Hate that so much.
1 -
^^ This.
Two months from now I'd bet this forum will be full of posts about how "Blight has no counterplay! Reeeeee!"
Then the devs will nerf him and we'll all shake our heads in disgust.

"Blight players are evolving"
Is it just me or does it feel like Killers are the ones more likely to adapt? Survivors pretty much do the same 3 things. Pallet loop, DS, Gen rush.
1 -
Theres always pantywetters when a new killer is released, if you put time into him he'll be a solid killer.
0 -
Haven't had any problems against him this far. I will wait for pro blights to appear. 😕
0 -
to be fair.... aside from DS, pallet loop and gen rush are literally the only thing a survivor CAN do. the devs dont give us many options. What do you want us to do? run around looking for a chest aside from doing gens?
0 -
They never implement anything to make them adapt.
0 -
Stealth? Totems so you don't get hit with NOED?
0 -
Cleanse da bones? :P
Seriously they need to give you guys something else to do. I really enjoyed the hallowed blight event because gens were popping left and right.

In my recent games, I hit the lethal rush quite often. Of course it could be the survivors not knowing how to dodge it, but sometimes there's just no place to dodge, or they were too surprised. What I really like about his power, that it allows you to outrun "bodyguards" trying to take hits for an injured one (e.g. when the whole team tries to rescue someone in endgame). My first games were pure frustration, but now I'm beginning to really like the Blight. It's just so satisfying to rush over the map for me, best topped with hitting a lethal rush at the end ^^.

It's almost as if completing the objective and then maximising efficiency when in chase are the best things for a survivor to do, hmm...
0 -
I feel myself dramatically improving with him each day, landing more and more difficult hits.
The only problem is he's so short you can literally lose people behind waist-high walls, and then tracking them again is hard because the scratches are difficult to see at such a low angle.
If they fix his perspective I'll be VERY happy with him. Having him be a 2 foot tall goblin actually hurts his potential greatly.
1 -
if they make him at least legion height, then ill actually consider getting him.
0 -
All he really needs is some QOL changes(POV should be same height as freddy, and a better lunge in lethal rush) and he'll be a solid killer for both sides
0 -
I hate the clown xD but i feel he's still viable if you actually play him.
