What happened to the tech?

It's too...too soon to talk about what happened to window tech. Too painful.

Plz, I need to know. I can handle it promise

Well if the match I was just in is any indication, you don't seem to be able to get through the killer quite as easily.

lel. Window tech is when you vault a window, immediately crouch so when the killer goes through you're out of his field of view. During the vault his collision hasn't moved to the other side of the window with his animation so you crouch walk under him and it gives you like, 2 seconds (or more) to lose the killer.
Apparently the collision for killers moves to the other side of the window as soon as he vaults now. So it's harder to do.

NO BRO! I lied... I couldn't take it. My face when I just barely learned how to do it correctly. lmao, this will be even harder on consoles I'd imagine. Well yeah, R.I.P the window tech. We had a good run

I'm a bit jealous of the people who have the balls to attempt it, succeed and manage to baffle the killer.
I hope they don't get rid of it. It's always amusing to see Zubat do it.

Its still possible.

This really shouldn't be in the game. It is on par with a killer being able to phase through a wall and hit you. Or walk under a pallet and be able to ignore the stun and hit you.

It's still possible, just passed through their body as the killer was vaulting.
But it is way harder

Window tech is extremly easy to counter tho

I had a survivor vault the window as i was climbing out so... it is still abuse of dodgy coding even if all you need to do is moonwalk out of every window, it is stupid that a killer should even need to do this.

I tried multiple times in a custom and couldn't get it to work. I've done window tech hundreds of times successfully. :(

This is where the South Park kids say, "I learned something today." I never thought about vaulting like this nor do I remember any survivors work this on me. I will always know there are too many who are far better and smarter at DbD than me.

Don't feel bad. Way way back in the day the killer FOV allowed you to look into lockers if you got close to them so you wouldn't have to waste time searching them manually. You could just push your killer you were controlling against the locker and see if someone was inside by clipping in just a little bit.
Turns out the devs didn't like that, so they adjusted the killer POV and gave them a little bit of a blind spot, and that blind spot is what we're all playing with a lot of the time. Just like if you run up to a killer and crouch at the right time on the killer's screen it looks like you ran past him so he'll turn around, and you can just...not go that way and turn 180 degrees and run off while he's figuring out what you did.
I'll be honest knowing all the hitboxes and tricks and stuff kinda sucks you out of the whole horror experience really quick, but it does secure wins.

This October will be a complete year of play for me. I get frustrated with today's matching of top quality survivors. Yes, they love to run from me, duck with a quick timed turn, while I miss with a swing. I spend too much time trying to down the survivor because I am determined to get my hook. I am trying to improve as a killer. However, with the latest tweak, I am not as good as before. The game is not as fun for me as it used to be. It does not matter if I win or lose. I still have rage quitters. Now, I want to rage quit as a killer and sometimes as a survivor. However, when the foe(s) already has a win anyway, I will just give up in game and take the blood points. Fair or not, it is just something I do since the beginning. I know people laugh at me for my game play. I know this is a rant and a tangent of your comment. However, I thank you for informing me of how some things used to be.

<3 Play long enough and you'll stop caring. When I got the Rank 1 Achievement for both survivor and killer I stopped caring about rank. Then I did the achievements, and then once you do them all that's really left is the actual game. So I just like to run around and collect bloodpoints and when I get enough iri shards I buy new clothes.
Now, I do rage quit and kill myself on hook. I'm not a model player by any stretch of the imagination. BUT, make your own win conditions. Sometimes I'll do a few no mither one hit one hook rounds and the game decides now to let me jump off the hook and I end up going through the exit gates. This game is about as competitive as Super Smash Bros. I run Bond sometimes just to laugh at my teammates when they do a backflip. It's the little things.

Just like if you run up to a killer and crouch at the right time on the killer's screen it looks like you ran past him so he'll turn around
This works sometimes if you do it after the killer breaks a pallet
