why nerf the foliage?
In the ptb I really liked the foliage, as with it stealth felt much better and the game became similar to its older version, where stealth was a priority and I was really looking forward to when these thick bushes would come to the live servers where I would play a little differently, but, for some reason, the developers decided to remove them and replace them with ordinary grass, through which everything is visible. Male survivors will not be able to hide in this grass at all because it is short, however, in the PTB they could. I don't understand, why add something and then just remove it? This foliage did not affect the FPS, at least for me.
I'm just disappointed, dbd could have become more varied in gameplay for survivors, such a missed opportunity.

Because killer are always complaining, killer whining about loop ? dev nerf most loop and promote alternative playstyle. Killer don't like stealth -> nerf stealth.
I swear the killer playerbase are just a bunch of 12 yo.

I can understand why they are nerfing loops, but why stealth? Killers already have tons of opportunities to track down survivors, bruh.
2 -
they would have to nerf Claudette first
5 -
I would be fine with stealth if people didn’t use it to stall games & be useless the majority of the time.
also, the loops that were nerfed did need nerfing, and survivors have been doing fine without them.
9 -
Because easy stealth that requires no effort + easy loops that have 100% visibility of killers and gaps and windows so you can safe spot most other loops would be to strong.
1 -
Because Claudettes literally becoming near invisible isn't very fair to the killers.

Too bad she overthrew the dream world

So nerfing stealth for everyone else is fair, right?

Stealth is a boring mechanic for both sides. You may personally have fun immersing most of the game but as a survivor on the same team if I see anyone on hook who has been hiding most of the game I'm leaving them to die on hook. Most useless survivors who can't even draw the attention of the killer away from patrolling gens. They leave that burden to the other 3.
We're talking extreme scenarios but this is why the majority of people hate stealth. Killer ends up only encountering the same 2-3 survivors in the game while there's that one hiding the whole game and the other survivors think "Why did I get tunneled" meanwhile that 4th survivor usually gets caught and their first hook ends up being their deathhook.

No, it's not fair that they have to nerf everyone because of blendettes, but the devs can't change every outfit claudette ever had to make them brighter. And even if they did do that, most of the blendette mains wouldn't be very happy about it.

Letting a person die because he didn’t play like many is selfishly, this person tried to survive, and he just died because “oh no, he played in immersion, he does not play like me :oo» Everyone needs to respect other people's playing style. I unhook all people and do not divide people into "who stealth" and who was someone else. And, in my opinion, stealth makes the game more challenging and interesting.

Yeah, devs simply cannot find a normal compromise, but it could all be done better.

They tried to survive at the expense of the other 3 survivors. We're talking people who hide in bushes or trees all game and run off with Spine Chill. They're super obvious if you've played long enough. They don't deserve to survive if they let the weight of objectives fall on the other 3 survivors. If you can't relate you're either one of them or have never experienced that Claudette who somehow got rank 1 and hides in the corner of the map or runs into a deadzone to self care. If I see two other survivors pushing the last gens and that one survivor who did nothing all game is conveniently on the hook at the time then I'll gladly make that trade and let the post game scoreboard speak for itself when they have 12000 bp (Generous number btw) meanwhile everyone else has around 22000 - 25000.

Yeah, it’s very bad if they didn’t help the other survivors to escape either, but nothing can be done about that, because people are different and this does not mean that others should suffer because of these people in terms of lack of stealth, and I don't think that because of such a foliage as in the PTB there will be more such players.
Personally, I try to mix stealth with completing tasks, something like this: if the Killer is near, I try not to get caught and wait until he leaves, or if he is not going to leave and is looking for me, I go to another part of the map where there are unrepaired generators; if the killer leaves , I sit down to fix the generator. So, no, I'm not one of them and I've probably met such people only a couple of times in my entire experience in dbd.

Not everyone is confident running the killer. So they get in a chase and get downed instantly and now they arent having fun. Plus everyone else has to come get them. Its worse for the team for a bad runner to take aggro most times. Its like taking your archer and putting then on the frontlines to tank. Its stupid.
Yes they should get in chases to get better at them. But that doesnt mean sacrificing yourself withing 5 minutes of the gamr starting either.
Also, as a personal story, had a game where i did like 2 and a half gens solo. Had 2 or 3 hook rescues. It was a good game for me. Now i try to avoid getting chased as im not that good at it. But i saw someone getting chased who was on death hook. So i jumped in front of the killer and saved that person. Last gen popped as i was hooked and everyone else but me escaped. No one even tried to save me.
So please enlighten me how playing stealthy is Crappy when i did half of the teams objectives, rescued people and died on first hook for my efforts?

I don't recall any killer ever complaining on the PTB that the "bushes were too thick" 🤔
So I think you're just making ######### up. This killer vs. survivor thing outside the game is so unnecessary especially in these threads which shouldn't be partisan to begin with, but people INSIST on making threads about the thickness of bushes partisan, everything has to be a killer sided or a survivor sided thing.
You people disgust me sometimes. "Killer playerbase are just a bunch of 12 yo" my ass look at what you're doing right now mate, purposefully riling people up for no good goddamn reason.

I saw people on the forum who clearly did not like the bushes, they had approximately the same arguments:
Can't see survivors in the bushes, too many bushes etc.
So no, reconsider your words pls :))

Stealth in moderation isn't a bad thing. We're talking about enabling those who abuse it too much here. If you don't do what I've described that's awesome. We're talking players who exclusively do stealth thinking it's the only part of the game.
This is a select minority of players that ruin it for everyone. They don't do gens, they don't run the killer and they barely do totems. You occasionally see them searching chest but past that they're useless when ever Spine Chill proc's or they hear a heartbeat.
Normally in most games I don't care but as survivor where it's easy to pip games get progressively harder because the killer is going to try harder to maintain a high rank because pipping for killer is sometimes unfair / unfun. So since they are pressured they really put the pressure on survivors. If a survivor doesn't pull their weight the rest of the team doesn't have fun. Ultimately you could say this is a rank / emblem issue but regardless it's a problem and this is the results of it.
Also if not everyone is confident running the killer they shouldn't be at said rank. It's unfortunate but this game pushes survivors to purple and red ranks without them putting much effort into. I've tested this before too and did the thing I complain about. It's stupidly easy to pip as survivor and this is what causes those rare issues later in matchmaking. Main thing is if you aren't confident on running the killer you better start learning. You're missing out on most of the game if you don't learn this even if it is basics.
As above, stealth in moderation is fine. This is specifically the minority that abuse it and ruin it for everyone else. Those who are genuinely useless and make everyone hate stealth that's experienced it enough. I guarantee you at one point you were tunneled to death in this game and it was because the killer didn't want to waste their precious time searching for that spinechill player so they went for the person actually doing objectives and they still probably depipped because either this person camped hatch or their first hook was their last one so the killer didn't get enough points.
I pay attention enough to recognize people actually doing objectives or other important stuff in game so if I saw you doing what you're supposed to I'm going for the save. Always run BT and even Empathy / Aftercare so I know when a survivor is in a chase. I don't let good efforts go wasted. If I see you do nothing though I'm letting you die.

I will agree that if you are being one with the bushes and not doing anything, then that is a problem. For me, i don't encourage chases and i do mostly avoid them. Maybe i should try more but, after 1000 hours in game, roughly 500-600 as survivor, i can say this. Im just no good at them.
Quarterbacks dont play dline for a reason. Strikers dont go to goalie. Some people just can't perform the chase as well as others.

As a killer, I find it embarrassing when other killers complain.
The game already favours the killer, these other low skill chump killers just want things easier instead of just improving their skills.
Oh yes, they most likely ARE a bunch of 12 yo.

Because they really, really don't have any way of tracking survivors. It's why Dead Dawg is one of the most survivor-sided maps in the game - sure, the loops are terrible, but you don't even need them. Just crouch in a bush and force the killer to spend over a minute looking for you, or give up and let you do the gen while they look for someone else and hope they can find them even with 4 tracking perks.

Must feel great then to get beaten by a bunch of 12 years old kids over and over again.
Lets be honest, you are the one who sounds like a 12 years old kid right here.

Maybe because it's stupid to be able to crouch in a bush mid chase and literally turn invisible?

Stealth is just a bad mechanic. You're not good at the game because you can hold control while at a patch of grass. It's not outsmarting or outplaying the killer when you literally cannot be seen while front and center on the killer's screen.
The game isn't designed around a time dynamic that allows for walking through every little patch of grass to see if you bump into someone. If you want to stealth, hide properly and keep moving to stay out of line of sight.
Also killers don't have "tonnes of opportunities" to look for person squatting in a bush, they're on a constant time limit, and any perks that assist with it have strict requirements that usually aren't "when you're just looking for someone, show their aura."

While I do agree with this, it is a bit frustrating to see. With there being so many tracking perks, while still lacking some really nice hiding spots, the game isn't always the nicest to your non-Blendette stealth survivors. And tbh, with there being a lot of killers right now that pretty much require you to be stealthy, I would prefer to see a bit more stealth plays available that weren't so build dependent. (Maybe I just get unlucky, but I've had a lot of killers who will check behind every rock.)
