What happened to hook placement in 4.2.0?

I'm finding consistently across games now that hooks are spread further apart. If a survivor goes down next to a hook that has already been used it is physically impossible to get them to another hook. No hook offerings have been used.

Here are two recent examples from today (forgive the crude MS paint drawings). Red circles = hooks

This one is Blood Lodge. The top left hook had been used, a survivor went down just to the side of it but I could not reach another hook. The closest was basement but the game logic wasn't taking into consideration the walls of the lodge and the time walking around and going down into the basement. This happens a lot.

This one is Fractured Cowshed. A survivor went down behind the Cowshed and these were the only two hooks nearby. No hooks in this area had even been used yet. I couldn't reach any hooks.

Again this is happening pretty consistently for me across games. I feel like something has changed.

yeah its very dependend on what map you're on.

on Azarovs Resting Place for example it isnt an uncommon sight to have two or three hooks covering like 50% of the entire map.

i remember a Rancid Abattoir match where i had a single hook covering over 30% of the entire map... guess where literally everyone went down? yep. i lost that game.

and dont even get me started on The Game...

then on the other hand, i see maps like Dead Dawg Saloon where there is two hooks literally facing each other with like 2 meters inbetween...

Swamp is definitely bad for hook placements

Oh good, hooks are farther apart and there's a bug that means it takes me about 5 - 10 seconds repositioning myself in front of the hook spamming the button to get a survivor on it? Perfect! If the devs don't want killers to hook survivors, why don't they just remove hooks from the game entirely and be done with it?

I always run hook offerings to increase their number, so I haven't really noticed any changes.

If you didn't know the other bandaid fix for the hook bug is to drop them then pick them back up.

Really? im experiencing the exact opposite. I see hooks 2 feet away from each other. I have Breakdown and my friends sabo hooks and still there's another hook within range.
