If two people DC in the first 2 minutes, the game should just be canceled.
You know what's NOT fun? When you load into a match, and two people almost immediately disconnect. I feel like when the happens, the match should just be canceled because it's very annoying. Just had a match where my teammates quit on me almost instantly. If you're a survivor, you're going to depip unless the killer decides to be benevolent and farm. But most of them probably just want it over with too, and will likely depip as well.

I encountered this yesterday myself. Someone made a good suggestion that I wholeheartedly agree with, in that for every survivor that disconnects, you should be given a quarter of a pip. So what that means is that if half of your team disconnects, then you're guaranteed to be given a safety pip. To me that makes perfect sense, and it's something that should've been implemented into the game years ago.

I was playing Blight the other night and had the best DC ever. Someone missed a flashlight save and killed themselves. I don't stream or record so I didn't get it, but one of the survivors was a Twitch streamer, it should auto-start at the right time (if not, it's 1:16:02):
It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I pick one up, someone fails at a flashlight save (really not a big deal) I hook and come back... and there's just a Claudette splayed out on the ground. Whiffing your save so bad it kills you.

Whenever this happens to me the killer slugs for the 4k. It's so boring and unfair on everyone thats stuck in the game still.

Also, map offerings burned should be redistributed back to the remaining survivors/ killer in the match.

Easy. Guarantee pips for everyone left and give a gradually increasing BP bonus for every player that DCs.

I agree, from a Killer perspective.
If people start DCing, I either have to let the remaining few farm and win or I feel legitimately guilty.

Same. Killing the two remaining survivors when there's still five gens left to be done means that regardless if your killer or survivor, you're walking away with a pitiful amount of blood points. Whenever that happens and I'm playing as killer, I'll let the other two farm because at least that way we all walk away with something.

Thing is - it's hard to tell whether the other survivors want that or not. I've had people cuss me out postgame and threaten to report for 'holding the game hostage' when I was actually trying to give them a chance.

I was in a match against a Plague yesterday, 2 players DC'd and it was just me and Claudette.
Plague let us do a bit of farming, but killed us on hook in the end, and that was perfectly alright by everyone involved. Nobody de-pipped, and the killer got most of the points they were robbed of. They took a match that wasn't fair for any of the remaining 3 and made the best of it for everyone involved, no hard-feelings between Plague and myself of Claudette. No need to feel guilty about not letting them escape in that situation, but kudos to you if you're willing to ensure they don't de-rank from it.

What I do is that I will hit a nearby pallet or generator, and if they don't want to participate then they won't cooperate. That tells me all I need to know, and so I will proceed to play the game normally.

At the rank I'm at, it's very easy to make up. For some reason, I get put against some very high level survivors.
Unless they are completely skunking me or being rude, I'll try to give 2 of them the W.

The developers made it clear in the last live stream that they have no intention of bringing bots to the consoles and pc.

They should make it so people who DC can't join another match untill that one is finished
Then you have some motivation to make it last as long as possible

Too easy to abuse. Most SWF are 2-man, they could DC because the weather isn't quite right for that map and everyone else gets a free pass. What we need is to punish DCers.
