Survivors - A Genuine Question From A Killer Main...

Okay, so keep in mind that whatever the majority opinion is here, I'm going to be doing this from now on. So answer...with care. 😇

If you have a DC/AFK or just get really unlucky early and are in a really bad state, do you prefer if I:

  • Help you out, let the game go on a bit and let you farm?
  • Just go for it and end the game as fast as possible?

Quite torn here. I've had groups get upset at me for doing either, and threaten to report me for 'taking the game hostage' for trying to give them a chance.

You're supposed to let the survivors win every match regardless of dc or not.

Personally I don't want killers to take it easy just cause someone DC's straight away.

But honestly anything you do there will always be people who will be salty about it so you just do whatever you feel is right in the certain match.

Haha. They generally do when they are playing against me, anyway.

I have no problems terrorizing a team if they are better than me, or it's a good game - but I do feel guilty when they end up at a huge disadvantage because of some mirkin who DCs the second I hang them.

When I have this happen to me as killer, I farm a bit and basically ensure a safety pip whilst giving everyone some BP. If it's a straight DC and the last survivor has been respectful to me, I'll even give them hatch.

If I'm on the survivor side, I just hope that the killer doesn't try-hard. It's not OUR fault that someone pulled the plug!

Please let me farm. I love playing with killers that let me farm. <3

Yeah if it's not a serious game then don't treat it like one. If me and all three/two survivors crouch walk towards you, focus on bloodpoints, not blood.

eh, farming games are pretty boring, but if there is an early DC, ideally, i would just want the killer to play chill, no need to be sweating when the survivor team is handicapped. but no need to be too nice.

    Interesting.

What specifically do they want me to do, though? Knock them down? Hook them? Just wound them and let them heal?

    What gives the most BP?

I always just end it as fast as possible so we can all move on to the next one.

If there is a blood point event and people have offered 4-5 BPS's, sure. Otherwise I rarely farm, because it is incredibly boring.

Edit: But honestly, sometimes I just can't resist. If someone drops their item or crouches in my direction I usually can't help myself and let them farm. But that doesn't change the fact that it's pretty damn boring. lol

Standard is hook all survivors twice (be sure not to sacrifice them, the salt may be funny but you'll miss out on bloodpoints) , smack them until your brutality is maxed out, while letting them heal between thwacks. Then go to every pallet on the map you can find (they should be following you) and let each survivor hit you ~8 times. Break the pallets for destruction points. One survivor should be willing to let you chase them for chase points. Likely the most experienced survivor. Chase him until your hunter emblem is maxed out.

If you have a killer that gets Deviousness on demand, max out your deviousness, survivors will generally help if it's stepping in a trap etc.

You can turn a 10k point serious game with d/c'd survivors into a 28k game REALLY easy. Survivors are human. They're there for score too. You can meme a bit but if you lose their trust they'll stop cooperating and you'll lose out on points.

end the game. dcs arent fun, but farming is more boring than dying

  • TBH if a game starts off bad just play normal and end it. I wanna get to a decent game just as much as you lol.

Okay. Verdict seems to be, just end it.

Going with that for now. Simplifies things.

If you just slug and turbo camp to end the game quickly, the best you're getting is brutal killer and the Survivors are de-ranking. So at least soft farm give them some chases and unhooks, maybe even make them feel like they're doing well so the eventual loss doesn't hurt them so bad. If you play it right you might even get ruthless or merciless Killer

If a Survivor DCs early, I basically just take off my tryhard pants and try to win as "fair" as possible. Being an ######### when there's a DC is just awful to play against and no one really wins.

I got reported for "unsportsmanlike behavior" because a survivor dc'd first chase and i didn't take pity on the survivors and let them do a gen before continuing regular play. I got reported for not going easy.
