Playing dbd has unironically helped me in real life.

[hi warning kinda a story thread so if you don't like those I'd turn back now thanks]

So, we all know about dbd, at least I hope we do, and the skills that we pick up whilst playing this game. You wouldn't normally think that anything you could learn playing this game could be beneficial outside of it, but unironically yesterday I was proven very, very wrong.

So I took my first driving lesson yesterday, and naturally I wasn't the best at it (but I still did some pretty sick parking). But somehow playing nothing but killer for the past 2 weeks nonstop has actually made me incredibly aware of my surroundings, and my hazard perception was on point. Concentration has also greatly improved, as well as being able to discern different sounds from each other (which is pretty good for me since my hearing is pretty scuffed).

In fact, even playing survivor has taught me some valuable lessons, from situational awareness to communicating when you can only do two things (yes that's also helped before), to giving me an irrational fear of seeing a bird flying away and wanting to blend with the corner.

There a point to this thread? Not really, I just found it funny.

Thanks dbd for indirectly helping me drive.
